The clerk was very nice, spoke as much English as she could, and helped me try on a few shoes in my size, which is 13 American. Not easy to find in Europe! I found shoes that work, and I enjoyed bringing home something nice from the trip that served a utilitarian purpose. I highly recommend this place. Prices were great too!

The real issue is whether you actually want to purchase from a shop with such a terrible culture and attitude. Having visited two different store locations, I was genuinely shocked by the blatant rudeness of ALL staff members when simply asking to try on a pair of shoes -- just one pair, not multiple pairs (which really shouldn't matter anyway). The staff response was appalling -- especially at the Via dei Giubbonari location -- where the attitude was dismissive, aggressive, and honestly quite disturbing. I have never experienced such hostility in any shop in my life. The behaviour was so extreme it actually felt intimidating. Thankfully they didn't have my size in stock because after that experience there was absolutely no way I would spend money there. I think to shop there - means you are disproportionaly desperate for footwear!!! A truly awful experience.

I had no problem whatsoever here. I think word finally got to the owners about their customer…read moreservice because when I got here, everyone was super-friendly and accommodating. It also helps if you do your homework and figure out what your Italian feet size is. I'm a size 8 1/2 in Canada, that means that I could be a size 38 or 39 Italian. Whatever models they have on the floor, especially in the sales section, the price tag will include the sizes they have left in stock (i.e 37, 39, 40) in that particular model. Since they were clearing out their summer stock to make room for their new incoming winter selection, I was able to snap up some deals on some super comfy yet stylish cork-bottomed summer sandals. They were a lifesaver during my trip when there were days which were too hot for sneakers yet still protected my feet from the rigors of Rome's cobblestone streets. The quality of the shoes here is very high. I'm sure if you look after them properly, they will last you a very long time.

You can tell simply by looking at the shoes that they're top quality, and most are made in Italy. I bought a pair of beautiful flat sandals that were made in Spain. Is this a huge deal? No, I should have checked the label - but regardless, they are high quality. Service: I've given up on getting good service here. Honestly, I think that if you're not native to Rome or Italy, you automatically have a scarlet T on your forehead. You can speak to them in Italian and do cartwheels while you're at it - they don't give a crap. Anyway, the guy who served me could barely force a smile and barely said five words. Apparently service declines on Sundays. OK then. Price point: I would say that their prices are on par with what you pay in a North America for a pair of high end shoes. Except the quality here, is probably ten times better.
