I have to drive back to Salina to pick up the rest of my order when I was told it was complete at pickup yesterday. I asked two employees after we finished loading if the order(100ish items stacked on a pallet, hinges etc just out free on top of boxes) was complete, and they assured me it was. After arriving home and began unloading I noticed that I was missing several items on top of two items being damaged beyond use. I have ordered close to $15,000 worth of merchandise in the last few months, most of it being cabinets and associated items. This will be the 4th time having to drive back to Salina for this order. 70 mile round trip. We drove there to order the cabinets, I drove back the following day because the employees missed an invoice that I needed to pay to get things ordered, I drove there yesterday to pick up an order that I was told was complete. Now I have to drive back to pick up the remaining order and get the damaged parts replaced. The supervisor and GM of the store would not budge on delivering the items without charging me a minimum of $160. Tell me how that makes any sense. Not a great way to treat your customers. There are plenty of other stores like Menards. I will not be returning for any more larger purchases. read more

Everyone who worked in the Salina store when I visited was very friendly and helpful. It's a huge store, but they knew where everything I wanted was located. the store was VERY clean and the shelf items were properly organized. I will return. read more

I called to make a return for an item that was never picked up. The woman I spoke to said it had to be done online that she couldn't return it. I asked if it mattered that the order was placed 3 weeks ago and ready for pickup sitting in their store. She said, no you have to go online. UPDATE: I went online. If an order has been pulled, you can not return it online and have to contact the store. I call the store back. I get her name this time, Tammy. She CLEARLY does not want to do her job. Got an attitude when I told her I just spoke with her and was looking at the website and it's not possible for me to do the return. She asked for the order number, paused for a minute, then said "I'll see what I can do but I don't know" I said, "ok, we'll can I get a call back with an outcome?" Tammy said, "Ugh. I guess I'll go over to a register and just do this return so I don't have to find someone to swipe." I'm guessing at this time she actually went to a register about a minute passes and she said, "I processed the return." As I was saying, "thank you" Tammy proceeded to hang up on me. Menards customer care is nonexistent. After making a large purchase, I had my contractor pick up the items, was given a wrong item that did not align with the project. This cost me me time, fuel, and money which I will not get back. Menards was more than glad to exchange the incorrect part they'd given. However, the proper part was not in stock, which led to the project being extended. By the time I receive the correct part, the project should've actually been complete. So much for "saving big money, when you shop Menards". A joke of a jingle. read more

Menards, in the Pinnick household AKA Fucktards. The saga is over. I've been at battle since November, even the corporate office is useless. See my final response: Absolutely ridiculous. I've previously sent a complaint to Menards corporate office and was told ultimately it's up to the store's general manager, approaching the general manager resulted in a quivering spineless response indicating the opposite. The response regarding inventory is laughable considering we were told their system "resets" every 90 days. We have spent over 100k at Menards in the past year. My husband (contrary to Menards responses, "Mr. Pinnick" is actually a female) works for a well known and respected developer. Ironically the materials paid for but not received were for our personal new construction build. If Menards cannot afford to make things right, I do have pity. That pity also comes with a dose of modern reality known as social media. 1k of my loss equals a storm of negative media for Menards. Love Manards. Great prices and a cut above the others in quality. We typically are on a mission to find one specific item when we go in, but the selection, quality and special pricing keeps us there far longer than anticipated.. Just hard to beat the quality and variety. Some stores you find a few of the things you're looking for and then have to go elsewhere for the rest. Not so at Menards, we find solutions to problems we didn't know we had.. The service reps are extremely helpful and willing to spend as much time with you as you need.. Our favorite lumber yard. Lots of sales, but beware special crazy days deals are just that, limit to stock on site. I missed the beer nuts and was sad when I couldn't find them again. My husband has always enjoyed shopping at Menards in Salina, Kansas but no longer. After a huge hail storm in our town 120 miles away, we went to Salina to buy a new fence at a considerable cost. There was a sale and we were supposed to get the 11% rebate. I have sent the forms twice and we have never received any rebate. This rebate would amount to over $500. We went back to Menards and tried to share our concerns and and the customer service was rude and uncooperative. That rebate is part of the reason for going so far away to purchase our materials. We are very dissatisfied with their customer service and willingness to solve this issue. We won't shop there again and advise you not to also. If I could give a negative rating I would! read more

Been there now 2 times in the last month as I do not live close. First time I thought it was great as it had a lot of items it was interesting to look around. Then the second time I needed lumber and I was in Salina so I thought I would get it there. I had recently torn a left knee meniscus and had a knee brace on so I was gimping around. I ordered the lumber all the way in the back of the store, then you go back up front to pay. I just asked if they had a military discount as HD does in Manhattan, the guy says to me "We don't discriminate again professions, No". I started laughing at the guy as that was so stupid it was funny. So out to the truck I go with the lumber ticket ($350 worth of treated lumber). Then you have to drive all the way around the street to the far back part of the lot and enter the lumber yard. In through the guarded gate area, where I ask the guy if someone would help me load the lumber because of my injured knee and brace. I shows me where to drive to. A guy on a forklift comes over and makes a big deal of helping me load the lumber, tells me "This is a self-service lumber yard", as I stand there in a knee brace needing lumber from up a set of stairs in building #19. I tell him "Well, not today and if you are too busy send your yard manager out here to help me". He hands me decking lumber fro the 2nd-floor area and I load it. Then at the gate to leave where they inspect you, I ask for a red plastic flag to be stapled to the lumber hanging out the back of the truck and the guy says "You don't need it". I tell him that some of the decking is sticking out 4ft and I want a plastic marker flag that they have right at the gate so people see the lumber sticking out. I get out and staple the red plastic marker myself to the lumber. The customer service here just suxs..... read more

Well just tried to spend 3000.00 dollars on new appliances. Good had a everything. Then you add a delivery charge of 109.00, then that's just to drop appliances in driveway or sidewalk, another charge to take them in house, That was a charge per piece times 4. Probably no hooking them up,probably another charge too. Never again, I turned and said an explicative and said lets go. No stars low enough to rate my experience. read more

I've started shopping at Menards when they first opened the doors. Customer server is great, prices are cheaper than Lowes. Large selection to choose from, helpfull employees, 11% rebate is nice as long as i remember to mail it in before the due date. read more

Terrible return policies that are not customer friendly or easy so makes sure not to purchase anything that may need returned -beware!!! Especially appliances. They do have a large variety of products though, and a helpful floor staff. read more

Love Menards for quality of merchandise, selection, and prices for the most part...frustrated at last shopping experience, though. Sale flyer in our newspaper had some good deals, worth the 30 mile drive to go get them; 2 of the items we went for "didn't go on sale until tomorrow" when we checked out. This was 8:30pm and one of the items actually had the "tomorrow price" tagged on it...still ended up spending $190 on our entire purchase; will think twice about shopping their "sales" in the future if they can't bend a little. My time ends up being worth more than the hour drive and prospecting through the store trying to figure out the sales. read more

Very disappointed the Salina store is not woman friendly. Wife didn't know how to use tiedown straps. They would not tie it down or close the tailgate. They instead sent her off with an unsecured load. I bet they have some responsibility! next time the local mom and pop store for me. One that would ride to your house and help unload it if needed!! read more

Not always easy to find floor help in some areas such as plumbing, my nephew and I had to load my new water heater ourselves as there was no one around. But they have anything you'd need. Prices are right too. The water heater was $40 less for the same size than the local family run business. I like to help out the little guys, but sometimes money talks. read more

On May 12, 2017 I purchased a gallon of paint, paid for it and walked out to my car. My granddaughter was sitting in the backseat and I put on her lap because I didn't want it on my floor of my car. The can tipped over and spilled all over my car and on her. she took it in to the service desk and once I got some of the paint cleaned up the best I could using my work shirts that was in my car I went in and they had the paint can in a sack and the lid was not on the can. My granddaughter was in bathroom cleaning herself up. They did a claim with insurance on it and it was denied but no one had the courtesy to call me and let me know this, I had called multiple times and no one would return my calls. The paint clerk said she put the lid on. She may have but it was not secure and now I have a brand new car with paint on it. I called the store and they said they could do nothing about it. I spend a lot of money with your store and would really like this situation handled. I don't feel that I have received good customer service from your store or the claims dept.  I am not a happy customer and would like to get this resolved.  Thank you for listening to me. read more
