When my debit card was used for fraud? They easily cancelled that card and issued me a new one. When my bank account was going to be stolen through some crafty fraudster? They cancelled my account immediately and helped me set up a brand new one. This credit union has great staff: tellers, loan officers, even the president has helped me structure my recent auto loan. I got my first mortgage here, had two auto loans re-financed, had some personal loans to consolidate debt, and every time I've received rates comparable or better than other banks/credit unions in town. They are clearly not one of the "big guys" when it comes to banking or credit unions but I trust them all the way.

I attempted to make a cash deposit, and the teller pulled out only part of the money from the envelope and stated the total she had counted. When I disputed the amount, she pulled out $500 more and still came up $500 short out of the total cash amount. Even stranger when I spoke to a manager, he informed me the police would not be called as they handled these types of claims with an internally audit. Naturally, I called the police regardless and WF refused to provided information without a subpoena and cooperate with a reasonable investigation. Rhetorically, if you took money (even by mistake) from WF, wouldn't the police be the first call they made? Won't bank with Wells Fargo again, and will be closing all of my accounts here at my earliest convenience as I don't believe my money is safe here. On one separate occasion in a different part of the state, the WF ATM came up $50 short. Fortunately, I recovered the missing $50 later on when a balance of the ATM cash upon serving showed at least an additional $50 variance over than what should be there. However, no action was performed as they claimed to be not certain to whom the money belonged prior to my follow up inquiry.

We spent three days preparing for an SBA loan under the new stimulus package. We worked with a…read morebanker at Bank of Utah and did everything he asked, submitted every document he wanted. We more than qualified for EVERY criteria. He told us we were the first file he worked today and had everything he needed. He even told my business partner, "we'll call you when your loan docs are ready." The next call my partner received from him was that we were not approved for the loan, because of some qualifications Bank of Utah put into place. We chose them over our current bank, because the person we were working with seemed helpful and was certain we were going to be approved. Now, Bank of Utah has wasted so much time responding to us, that it's too late to go back to our existing bank who may not have decided on their own criteria over the SBA's in order to be approved. We were fully prepared to open close accounts elsewhere and open them here. Not now. Not ever. So, now we will have the pleasure of laying off 15 people who live in Utah next week and we wasted three days of work making sure we were ready.
