They never took my medical hx. I said they needed more than the clinic medical record they wanted…read morebut they never requested it. Later the doctor said i would need to give them my medical history. No duh. They generally do that with an initial visit. Not 5 months after you start. I have a long and complicated medical history. After trying to get a referral to pain management which he refused to do, for non narcotic prescriptions he refused to write, he insisted that he had utmost confidence in the neurologist he had referred me to after she had documented my visit on some male inpatients chart, and handed me a prescription w his demographics on it a Hipaa violation.she also had trouble dealing with dosages insisting she gave me 20 days of meds when according to her scripts it was 10 days worth. When I refused to return there the practitioner became angry stating if I wanted a different neurologist i had to give him a name. I said WHAT?? How am I supposed to do that? Cant you just do a referral to a neuro clinic and let them pick the doc? He asked about my last neuro before the dippy one he sent me to (who could not handle a computer, prescribing, medical record accuracy, nor understood how to write a script even when i gave her the exact information on how to prescribe it) andvwhen i truthfully said he got sued for malpractice and run out of the region this practioner actually made a snorty sound of disbelief hopped away and left in a snit. I have no idea of his abilities as a doctor since i got so frustrated early on I basically did not trust his opinion. He spoke to me like I was stupid. Sick, upset, in pain, yes. Stupid no. I only received a script for thyroid meds. He also prescribed neurontin and refused, just flat out no, to increase the dosage. I was also told lab tests were normal when they were not. This fellow might be a great doctor, but their practice management is terrible and every time i tried to explain why i needed a referral or some part of my medical history he would just jump up and leave the room. He also recommended i see a nonaffiliated doctor and when I said I do not know of any he said there were several in town ( i have lived here 30 years. Its a small town. One that was unaffiliated retired, one just left town, and the third one almost killed a friend of mines child by not correctly identifying sepsis so that was a no go) i asked for names and I was told JUST check around. WHERE? look it up in the big giant book of unaffiliated physicians? As you can tell I lost any faith in this practice, and fired him as my primary care practitioner. I did that in writing simply stating doctor paitient relationships need to have mutual trust. He had none in me and destroyed the small amount of trust i had for him. I was very dissapointed he did not even try to verify info with my last PCP. I would not recommend this clinic unless you are very healthy to begin with. Serenity now!!!
