The very north of Scotland has many amazing beaches. We've seen many pretty ones in the past few years. On the way to Thurso we stopped here - a beach we've never been to before.
And what a pretty place it is! The beach at this bay is really beautifully located. Wonderful clean sand, long and wide. From the carpark it's only a quick walk to this amazing place. Even though a summer day, there were only a handful of visitors. Looks like it's still quite undiscovered by the masses. A good thing.
It was nice to spend an hour or two here. We walked to whole beach, had some sausage rolls along the walk (bought in Durness). As many scottish beaches this one allows dogs as well. Our Bulldog enjoyed her freedom here - as did we.
Surely a great beach/bay to check out when doing the NC500. read more
