First of all, don't assume the 3 star is a bad rating here. It's not. If I could rate 3.5, that…read morewould be my rating. Several compliments: The food is very good and they have awesome drink specials! I would give them a 4 or 5 on the food.
They know how to market very well-the menu is posted outside on the street with pictures. They also brought us in because they had a sign they were running a beer special for only 1.5 Euros for happy hour( SOLD!)
My wife ordered the chicken paella and I ordered the paella mixta, which is chicken and seafood. Both were served extremely warm in a skillet and had great flavor! I would order it again if I came there today.
However, because the dish was so hot, I had to wait a while to eat because I burned my tongue. I don't like having to wait to eat when your food is sizzling right in front of you and making your stomach growl.
The atmosphere is ok-a main upstairs floor with very Americanized decor. Didn't really feel like I was in Barcelona, more like New York City. Downstairs is a bar area and where you pay when you are done. I didn't know that; so we waited for about 30 minutes after eating our food before I ventured downstairs to figure out that's where we pay instead of requesting the ticket from our server.
Even though it is Americanized, the staff do not speak much English. Luckily, I knew some Spanish, so it helped; this was a little surprising though considering the themes and wall decorations. Overall, I did enjoy our dinner here. Very good food and I would still recommend.
