The moment I walked inside Melody's I could feel the close hug of thousands of books that just wanted me to take my fingers and slowly caress each page...the feel the softness of their papery treasures...to lick my finger and then slowly turn....the....page........ I like reading. Possibly too much. Melody's has more books than you would expect when you look from the outside. The variety of genres will more than likely have anyone who is serious reader walking out with something that fits their niche. A big plus was that many times they had multiple copies of books from popular authors. It's been frustrating some times for me to go into a used bookstore and only see 1-2 books from a big time author because the owners don't want to "overstock" them. Bottom line: Plan for more time than you would expect for this packed full bookstore of joy.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Froggy's Fog has been extremely…read moredisappointing. I purchased a Titan Ice machine that never worked properly from the day it arrived. Rather than immediately asking for a refund, I spent a considerable amount of time working with Froggy's Fog to try to resolve the issue. I worked directly with Eli, Mitchell, and other members of their technical support team, exchanging text messages, videos, and performing every troubleshooting step they requested in an effort to get the machine operating correctly. We even opened and used one gallon of fog fluid solely because their team instructed us to use it while diagnosing the problem. After exhausting every troubleshooting step they requested, I was informed that they would not issue a refund because I no longer had the original shipping box. In my opinion, this completely misses the point. The issue was never that I changed my mind or simply wanted to return the machine--it was that the machine never functioned properly from the moment I received it. What made the situation even more frustrating is that I am now being told I have to purchase a pallet, strap the machine down, and prepare it for freight shipment before they will accept it for repair. The problem is that is not how the machine was delivered to me. It arrived by UPS Ground, without a pallet, and I have photo and video documentation from my security cameras showing exactly how it was delivered. I don't believe it's reasonable to require a customer to incur additional expense and prepare the equipment in a completely different manner than the manufacturer originally used to ship it. From my perspective, this experience feels like the company is relying on technicalities in its return policy instead of standing behind a product that arrived defective. I acted in good faith throughout the process, cooperated with every troubleshooting request, documented everything they asked for, and gave them every opportunity to make it right. Unfortunately, I don't feel the same level of good faith was extended to me. I encourage anyone considering purchasing from Froggy's Fog to carefully consider how warranty and defective product issues may be handled if something goes wrong. My experience has been that even when a product allegedly arrives defective, the burden can still fall heavily on the customer.

For years I struggled to find a reliable supplier for my Family Entertainment Center and then along came Froggy's Fog. They always deliver to me on time as promised. They are also always willing to go the extra mile and teach me how to do things better and more cost effectively when it comes to their products. I have used their fog and haze both in my FEC and Laser Tag. We have also used their theatrical evaporative snow fluid and UV Bubbles on our parade floats for both the Holidays and for Mardi Gras. I wish the rest of the companies in world would learn to do business with the integrity and skill Froggy's Fog does. My hat is off to the Froggy's Fog crew for being the best!

Since we were already in Columbia for my eye incident, my daughter said "Hey dad, do you want to go…read moreto this cool antique store?" I'm always up for an adventure, (as if my eye thing wasn't adventure enough) especially with any of my girls. Sure enough I said as she pulled into Treasure Village. Right from the get go I knew this place was going to be good. It had that musty smell. You know that smell when you walk into grandma's old house? Come to think of it, when I was young, and I first smelled that smell, I thought that it was grandma. But I soon found that It was old gold just waiting to be rediscovered. After poking around a bit I stumbled upon a real cool huge glass bottle. I've always wanted one of those. I said "hey Missy, check this out" I know, she replied as she was talking to a clerk. She spied it before I did. She was attempting to negotiate the price to a more favorable proposition. The clerk said that she'd have to call the gentleman who is selling it. So we went on with our treasure hunt. This store has a lot of twists and turns, ups and downs in it. Stuff is everywhere. Search closely to uncover a special find. We did and we found. I lost track of Missy somewhere in the labyrinth of rooms and aisles. When we met up again it was by the front counter. I asked if she heard from the seller of the big bottle. Missy said "I sure did daddy, happy father's day!" That girl made the deal and I am now the proud owner of a 13 gallon glass bottle. I love that girl! What am I going to do with it you ask? I'm going to fill it with coins of course. My 5 gallon bottle is full. Quick Tip: Be careful going up and down the stairs going up to the second floor. The steps are about half as wide as normal stairs are. I told my granddaughter that they were like this because back in the day women wore hoop skirts and had to go down the stairs sideways. Oh grandpa she said. Those are my favorite words.

We initially visited for some simple, inexpensive jewelry repairs, but that experience quickly turned into something much more meaningful. we retired to the Jewely Bench a few times. When my wife's wedding ring broke and the diamond fell off, we went in to repair it. After speaking with the Jeweler, we made the decision to upgrade to a larger stone. The team took the time to clearly explain all of our options and the services they offer, which gave us a lot of confidence moving forward. After taking time to pray about it, we decided to proceed--and we're so glad we did. In just three days, we received her old ring that looks like a new ring, and it is absolutely stunning.
