When I opened it, I realized it didn't work and walked right back in the store. I couldn't exchange it because I had walked out of the door. Only then I was told that I had to try it in the store before I left. In my many previous trips to this establishment, I never once was told that nor had I seen any of the "at least 6 signs posted" all over the store. Very poor way to run a business. I will never walk in there again. Buyer beware: If you do go in there, make sure you product test before you walk out to your car. I hope they were able to pull the faulty vape out of their garbage can where I left it and get a refund for it.

Today I thankfully got to finally say i didn't have such an experience, I've been going to mellows moods sense I was in highschool before the legal age turned to 21. I always went to the Detroit lakes location because that's where I lived and then 2 years ago I moved to Moorhead and would regularly go to mellows in Moorhead. Most the times I had gone to the Fargo location I'd get what I was looking for or something similar. Never was I happy with the service though. Some people just seemed annoyed to find the right stuff you're looking for. I was looking for a specific part one day in Fargo and some young guy helped me out to find a adapter for a water pipe. Well I didn't get one cause he seemed so annoyed I kept telling him no this won't work or that. But today January 22 2022 that changed for the better I came in and not only greeted by the best door greeter I've ever seen the greater was also a pit bull and who hell doesn't love pitbulls, after being welcomed in by a very happy pitbull smile I was not only greeted by the dog also by the employees witch was new to me atleast. I didn't get her name but some young lady helped me today find a nector collector and a adapter for it, she was so helpful and she went through BOXES of adapters just to find the right one AND SHE DID! Not only that she found better ones for a better price so I had to get them and some other accessories while I'm there, so I guess to sum this longer then I expected review. Sadly this section isnt cooled, so you will have to keep it in the fridge for a bit before exploring and experimenting with your beers. There is only an aisle to pick from, but it was honestly hard for me to pick which beers I wanted because I love adding to my Untappd and I love tasting new ways beer is made by these brewing companies. I was even surprised to see soju there! Its a great Korean beer that i discovered and loved back home. Although they dont have my favorite yogurt flavor, they surprisingly have flavors i have never seen back home such as grapefruit and plum. I even discovered a brand of rum that i really want to try. There is this rum called Kasama and knowing the language and meaning of it, i picked it up out of curiosity. My suspicions were correct. A rum made from the Philippines! Sadly we didnt bring a suitcase to fit under the plane, so I will have to do some research when I head back home. My only downside was it seemed a bit awkward for me to be there. The cashiers/employees kind of eyed me a bit as I walked around the store. I turn a corner, feel eyes on me, look, they turn away. Felt more comfortable to be around customers because the customers wouldnt stare at me and the service wouldnt dare look when more people were around me.

I liked the aesthetics and vibe of the store, but what made me put ONE star for this place was the checkout. The checkout clerk wouldn't let us buy the products because one of our members didn't bring his ID. Yet, me and my brother-in-law, who happens to be a cop, had valid ID's to buy. Yet he was specifically targeting our friend. This guy can clearly see that we have ID's, licenses, etc to show we are the legal age to buy. But he refused. Even refused when our friend had a picture of his ID on his phone. Why? Most likely because we're minorities. Two Mexican-Americans and an African American. If the race was the other way around, most likely he would have let us leave with no problem. But clearly this guy didn't want us to happily buy their products due to clear discrimination. There's no sense to refuse when we have clear evidence that we are beyond the legal age to buy. How many IDs do you need to show that we LEGAL AGE? 10,000? The whole family tree? Ridiculous! This man and the store ruined our evening. If you're a person of color you're better off getting alcohol somewhere else. This clerk and the store should be ashamed. Please regroup and change this petty rule and the person's discrimination.
