Yes it's pricey but worth it for tourists like me. Definitely check it out if you're in the area. The staff is friendly and will happily answer any questions and point out their suggestions.

The chocolate is still made by the same family that has owned the shop for generations. This chocolate shop has drawers of chocolates to sift through. This used to be a button shop for the royalty. The drawers were full of buttons that the royalty could pick from to be on their clothes. Now the drawers are filled with buttons of delicious chocolates. The staff was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Besides, who could be sour in a chocolate shop. It was some of the best chocolate we have ever had. We are keeping the hot chocolate mix for our trip to Tahoe later this year. It will be a way we can relive our amazing trip. I wanted to say thank you to the staff for being so friendly and helpful in selecting our chocolate. I gave it one Euro sign, but you could easily get carried away in here. We spent over $40 of chocolate because we knew we weren't going to be back anytime soon.

I'm a fan of Oil & Vinegar. This store is like my dream kitchen's condiments room: with varied,…read moreinternational-flavored, good quality products. For dressings and sauces, they have Piri-Piri, Ginger Wasabi Dressing, Lemongrass Dressing, Chipotle Sauce, Guacamole Salsa, Yogurt Mint Dressing, Tzatziki, Chutneys, Muhammara, Truffle Sauce - and that's just to name a few. Their oils and vinegars range from the basic olive oil to flavored oils, from balsamico to flavored vinegars to agrodolces. They also have the basic seasonings: sea salt, black pepper, lemon and pepper, and regional herb mixes. They allow free tasting and always have a spread of bread cubes with toothpicks and samples of their products to dip in. I have sampled some dips, oils, and vinegars. Everything that I tried was good, but the ones that impressed me are the Guacamole Salsa, Tzatziki Garlic, Mustard Dill, Dattel Agrodolce (Dates), Granatapfel Agrodolce (Pomegranate), Olive Oil Truffle, Lavendel Essig (Lavender Vinegar), and Marc de Champagne-Agrodolce. My taste could be different from yours so do taste the products first to see what you would like. I noticed that the other buyers had different preferences. At the end of the day, I settled with the Dattel Agrodolce and the Granatapfel Agrodolce. I always make salads and these two liven up the flavor of the greens. They can also be mixed with other ingredients to create new dressings. With more products from Oil & Vinegar, I could only imagine how much variety I could add to my salads, soups, snacks, pastas, and other dishes. No meal will ever be the same again.
