Doors stated that patient privacy was most important and was taken in a room that had "Private" written on it yet I was suppose to confide in someone with the door wide open and her clerk in the room a few steps away. Her clerk was then asked to step in and voice their opinion on my case as if it was no big deal to let everyone else know what I spoke about. I am moving out of state and was reaching for professional help to get the feel of it and see if I'd pursue some form of counseling out there, I was then asked if I expected a miracle. So rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. No I didn't expect a miracle I simply wanted to vent and as that was my response I was asked if I didn't have friends. Maybe these are questions that should be asked but not in such tones. At the end of your day you're taking my money to listen and not be so judgmental. Maybe my issue wasn't a big deal to her but I can only imagine what other cases of seriousness she simply blows off. I really hope you took the time to read this all because the last thing I would like to know is that someone reached for help here and had a bad experience seeking it and is now boxing themselves in thinking counseling is a horrible idea, it shouldn't be this way.

During a crisis, my husband and I asked to see the therapist who had helped us before. We were told she wasn't available, with no real effort made to fit us in. Instead, they offered to book us with someone new, but only after we paid an outstanding balance we never knew existed because we'd never received a bill. This wasn't the first issue. Months earlier, I received an automated message saying all my individual appointments would be canceled unless I resolved a separate billing issue within 24 hours. This was after years as a client, always paying on time, and even patiently waiting while they fixed their own error of double-charging both my insurance and me. For a practice built on care and understanding, the behind-the-scenes treatment of clients shows very little of either.
