Mr Shaffer was very ill. In fact he had Stage 4 throat cancr while at your facility, Instead he was treated as a homeless bum. When it tbecame time for his discharge he was given a bus token and told to find his way home. This was after he was assured that he would receive a ride home form a person on the staff. you treated him terribly. Did not conduct a full physical exam and sent him off in aterrible area . I called up and got an appointment that morning, fortunately there had been a cancellation. They very helpfully told me over the phone it would be $90 (ouch, Sunday!) and also how much I would get back from Medicare (I was given the receipt and not offered the ability to have the refund processed on site like my GP does). They perhaps need a bell on the counter, because both ladies on reception are apparently vision impaired and don't see people waiting. The doctor I saw obviously didn't want to be there. At $90 for 5 minutes I think the doctor could at least feign not being so damn bored and wanting to be anywhere else but. Fortunately there's a pharmacy in the waiting room, and the lady working there was happy, friendly and helpful, pity the rest of the staff in the medical centre were the complete opposite. The two stars are for being open on a Sunday and the friendly pharmacist. Only come here as a last resort.

Maybe it's because this isn't the only QML Pathology in Chermside, and there are more branches in nearby Aspley. They have a TV in the waiting area to make the wait more bearable, and there's about a dozen chairs in the waiting room. So they must get busy at some time during the day. There is also a dedicated parking area just outside of the Pathology entrance, for about 12 cars. There is a 2 hour limit on these parking spots.

The lady who I dealt with at Chermside QML was nothing like this and is exactly why they are getting 5 stars. I went in on a Sunday, and turned up right at 8am when they open. Lets talk about this for a second - they are open Sundays. I believe they are the only one this side of Brisbane who are. Which is why I was so surprised I was only one of two people waiting. When I got back in my car it was 8:06. That's how long it took her (who's name I wish I asked) to do all the paperwork and take my blood. Impressed. Plus she was lovely. Easy to talk to and in a good mood. Thank you! Brilliant. No longer will I dread going just because its not a nice environment. There are car parks out the front on Wallace St, but I'd suggest it may get full on weekdays. Obviously I'm happy with my experience with the staff and open Sundays is a bonus. If you're looking for a nicer experience and not just being a number I'd suggest Chermside QML on Wallace St (there's actually a few in Chernside!).

Sometimes I feel really passionate about writing reviews for companies similar to QML. They're not…read morethe type of thing that get written reviews very often, but sometimes it's the type of thing you need to know about. My doctor asked me to get my blood tested around 8am, so I headed to the QML in Nundah around then. It was nice and quiet, I was the only person in there, I was in and out within 15 minutes. Yes, yes. This is how it should be - but is it really like that often? Usually I have to wait among screaming kids and too noisy daytime television shows. But it was peaceful, fast, and the lady who took my blood was pretty friendly (look not as good as the lady I had at Chermside QML but she was exceptional). This QML is also in the same complex as Nundah Medical Centre. Also an orthodontist if that's what you need. It opens at 6am weekdays and is also open Saturdays. Oh, and before I forget to mention - the needle was great. Well, as great as a needle can be. Hardly felt a thing. I always fear the needle coming out. There's this weird feeling that makes me nauseous when a needle comes out. But none of that this time! Didn't feel a thing! Well done, Nundah QML. Well done indeed.
