And finding out you don't have one is great peace of mind. They don't process your Medicare payment on site, but there's a Medicare office in toombul, plus you can do it yourself online these days. I had something removed, so had some out of pocket expense, but it was still pretty affordable. The doctor was great, and really the only downside was my own nerves. He didn't just slice it off and stitch me up, he used some special internal stitches thing, and I paid next to nothing for what would have cost many hundreds for the same thing from a plastic surgeon. Score! There are a few doctors working here, but it's that popular you'll need to book ahead; unless you get lucky and you get a cancellation (I did!).

Sure they bulk bill, but the wait times were ridiculous and the waiting room felt like a death trap. The Gumdale Centre clearly outlines their pricing structure plus exactly what you will get back from Medicare. If that wasn't enough, they also refund you on the spot. The most important thing is of course the doctor and Dr Webster is a gem. Very efficient and obviously knowledgeable. If you find a good doctor, I recommend you stick with them.

They have been able to quote a next day appointment where others were over a week. The difference was $150 after rebate, around $100 more than everyone else. The rebate is returned within 3 business days as standard. Low star rating is purely based on the staff attitude. I'm not sure if everyone is just having a bad week, but after attending this establishment two times within a week, I've been consistently appalled with the lack of polite greetings, poor attitudes.

As long as you are fit, healthy and above a certain weight donating blood is relatively painless. You complete a donor questionnaire as well as an interview (basically to suss out lifestyle habits and your general health.) And you are ready for the blood donation. It's actually not as scary as it sounds, I felt a small pinch but it was on the whole a painless experience. My main advice is if you are light headed like me DO NOT LOOK AT THE BLOOD BAG OR THE NEEDLE. (I'm serious, you will start palpitating...in fact maybe it would be better if you close your eyes and think of the free cookies in the other room.) Giving blood only takes 5-10 minutes but could end up saving a lot of people. 1 in 3 people will need blood but only 1 in 30 people currently give blood donations. Donate blood, who knows whose life you'll save.

Andrew is the Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Doctor with the clinic and is the person I come to see here. I have been seeing Andrew for about 2 years and he is wonderful. He has helped me so much with headaches, migraines and digestion issues. He does not 'hard sell' but will recommend a program for you with acupuncture, massage and herb treatments. It has only been a week since I have seen him but have had no headaches and my digestion is much improved. Andrew is also a fertility specialist helping people if are having trouble conceiving. He has told me that he has a really high success rate. The prices are a little higher than what I have paid for in the past but I have no issue with that if the person treating me is good and can cure - or at least help me - with issues. I absolutely highly recommend Andrew and his services. His services are in high demand and an appointment is necessary. It looses one star as I do not think the receptionists are on their game. I have been there on occasions where they have forgotten to charge me for things or charged me incorrectly and have had to ring me to pay over the phone.

The answer is simply "yes!" What I like about Walton Bridge Medical Centre is the casual atmosphere of the place, the professionalism of the staff and GPs, with doctors who are down-to-earth and who will tell you what to do, without ramming it down your throat. After all, once you leave the building whether you follow their advice or not is purely your call! Walton Bridge is also open weekends too which makes it even more convenient and there's a Blooms pharmacy right next door if you need to buy anything over-the-counter to help you cure a cold, fight a fever, or just feel better from whatever is ailing you. Once seated you won't be waiting hours until you're seen, and can while away the time with a pile of mandatory waiting room magazines, many of which were even published in 2011. Here's to your health!
