His bedside manner when dealing with energetic kids is not what you'd want from your pediatrician, someone you trust with your child's health. He has a very condescending attitude and makes you feel uncomfortable when trying to voice any concerns. I had to reach out to other resources just to get a diagnosis for my son because he wouldn't do it himself. Eventually he did make a referral for us to get a diagnosis after me having to go through hoops and other agencies. He wouldn't accept he had autism til I came with my own diagnosis which he wouldn't accept then say it's not acceptable because it has to be from the dr he sent the referral. I am writing this review to save parents from this situation, it's truly heartbreaking that a pediatrician in our community (a community with a lot of special needs individuals) is so out of touch with the children they are caring for. My family were patients of this doctor until becoming unavailable and people had to start seeing another doctor, also a GP in the same office as patients are not assigned to any specific Dr. and just see who ever is available at a particular time. It felt like the office environment went sour and one doctor left the office, and patients (including my family) chose to punish their prior patients and refuse to see them anymore, allowing work environment problems to take center stage. Now, my family is unable to get blood pressure medication and other much needed medications filled, and we're not able to find another Dr. who is taking new/old patients at this time. Get away from this Dr. while you can. There is too much office drama and you are likely to get refused medical treatment without warning, violating the medical Hippocratic oath taken when graduating medical school.

I showed up on time for all three but was sent home without seeing her. The first time after waiting 3 mos for the apt., I got there right at 9am the appointment time, but because I didn't get there 20 mins before my apt, though I called from the road and was told to still come in, I was sent home without seeing her or anyone. The second time 3 mos later, I saw the medical assistant. When I said I was hoping to meet Dr. Dolan, the assistant said, Maybe this practice isn't for you. Rather hostile. The third visit also 3 mos. later, I had hope to finally meet the doctor and get the referrals for serious conditions that require follow up--I was turned away again. This time because I didn't have labs. But the staff never requested labs and I had the blue sheet given by the assistant that showed that labs had not been checked. I was turned away by very unpleasant staff. I moved from Honolulu a year ago, and all this time I've been trying to actually meet with Dr. Dolan as my PCP and I've been trying to get her to refer me to both a Gyn doc and a Gastrointerologist, but it has been hopeless. The staff said the sent requests for records from my previous docs and asked me to follow up with them which I did. NONE of the four docs had gotten requests. This office held up any care and I'm a senior with on-going issues, for a year. They wasted my time and treated me without normal human kindness or concern. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor who was completely unavailable. I don't know why she accepts new patients if she can't see them and relies on medical assistants who may or may not be certified. I've finally found a doc that I can actually see, and his staff is efficient and kind.
