We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this antique shop and found a lot of interesting items from 1920s. Mel is a great guy with so many funny stories to tell. My husband and I found two special framed pieces for our house and spent a lot of time talking with Mel. Mel is a unique guy that has a very unique antique store. Such a variety of things for sale. Didn't know what to look at first. I was able to find a glass lantern I'd been looking for at a good price and got told a funny joke or two before I left. Thanks Mel !!! read more

My fiance and I had the same experience as every other reviewer here. The owner was rude from the moment we stepped through the door. He kept muttering things under his breath and when I got close enough to hear I heard him call us disgusting and pieces of s---. When we left to go to the store next door he followed us there and continued to mutter rude things about us. Stay far far away from this business. read more

Terrible selection and very RUDE owner!! A bunch of waterlogged items out front and broken glass all over the ground. I asked Mel how much something was and he replied it was $10. I thanked him and was going to continue shopping and he yells across the lawn to me "Jesus Chr*st I'm giving it away at that price!" And then starts mumbling insults under his breath and went back inside. I immediately left feeling very uncomfortable. Awful way to run a business! read more

Unfortunately we came here before reading anything about it. He called my husband a "fat-ass" as we were leaving. We saw him sitting down to read the paper after we left, happy that there were no customers in his store. Maybe he's so angry because he hasn't sold anything in years... I can't imagine anyone actually wanting to buy anything there. Stay away. read more

My partner and I went in to check it out, and the man staffing the store was continuously muttering angrily at us. We assumed he was just ill-tempered and went to a shop across the street, where he followed us in, still saying rude things under his breath. He then had a completely pleasant conversation with the cashier at the other store, glared at us, and left. When we went back to our car he was standing outside smiling and talking to someone else, then he glared at us the whole time we were preparing to leave. We waved as we left, and he called us pieces of shit in response. We had no interactions with him before he started being rude and were just wandering around admiring things, like the other customers in the store. Definitely avoid this place. read more

Wow - this shop has poor quality items, and the owner is a nasty, angry man. We stopped and looked in his store, with his dog barking at us the whole time and him shouting at the dog. When we left, he yelled at us to park across the street if we were going to look there. Skip this place and go to the Buggyman down the street. Much better quality and friendly people. read more

Only giving this place 1 star because zero stars isn't an option. If you plan on treating every possible customer like a piece of crap, don't own a small business! It seems as though the owner went out of his way to be rude. He only seemed interested in interacting with people he knows personally, stating "I'm waiting for the tour to be done" to a pair of young men as my mother, sister and I browsed his shop (which by the way is unimpressive to say the least). As we quickly got uncomfortable and headed out the door to our car, he says to his friends - "They just waltzed right in here like they own the place!" Needless to say we peeled out of the parking lot and immediately went to the Buggyman Antique shop across the road and had a much more pleasant experience! We were told to not take "Mel's" behavior personally and that this was apparently "normal" for him. Do yourself a favor and skip the insults and his bad selection of antiques! Awful! read more
