They told me my prescription would be ready in an hour and I came to pick it up and they said it was out of stock and wouldn't be here for 4 days. Call for heart pill refill on Saturday. Asked for pick up on Sunday. Told it had to be ordered, would be available Monday. Go to pick up Monday, they say it won't be available till Wednesday. Go on Wednesday, won't be available till Thursday. No phone call or text to tell me. Thanks Meijer, will be transferring everything to Kroger after it's filled. So much for that. This is for the Lake Lansing Meijer pharmacy. So, a short version of my back story. I am very forgetful and missed my appointment with my psychiatrist, which surprisingly I haven't done in a long time. So, I didn't have any refills on my medication that I recently switched to and am adjusting to. I have been out for a few days because even though I was told my doctor would send a refill request, the pharmacy had none. I was told by two people who uses Meijer pharmacy in a different location that the pharmacist will do a "courtesy refill" just enough until Monday. I have never asked for this before, so I figured it shouldn't be a problem then. I am usually on top of my refills. Well, I called and to sum up this long review the male pharmacist made me feel crappy for even asking. He pretty much said that I have been out since the end of February as if I am lying. No sir, I had my last refill then and ran out a few days ago. Then proceeds to tell me that it's already been a few days and I haven't been on this medication for long so I should be ok and at this point I just need a prescription from my doctor...which I can't call until Monday...again. What he doesn't know is I haven't been feeling great because I have regularly taken Zoloft for years and switched to this medicine regularly. I have been feeling sick because I have been out. And I now have to restart the process of my body adjusting to this new medication. No this is not all the pharmacist's fault, but it is his fault for making me feel horrible for calling and asking, as if I am a liar and my medication is not important. It was my very first time asking and my very last. I am currently looking for a new pharmacy now that I have been made to feel foolish. Which sucks because before this I have always loved going here for my medications. read more

10 days ago i had my psyc med script sent to meijer. They made me wait a week while ordering it. A week later they said it would be another week, so i had them send it to another meijer. In that process my script got deleted. It was Friday evening, my doc would not be available to write another script until Monday. I went days without my psyc meds. It was a time of true hell. I called meijer corporate to ask for help. They said they would get back to me with a solution. Never called me back. Worst pharmacy ever. NEVER USE THEM! THEY WILL SCREW YOU! I'm even boycotting their store over this. It is an evil giant corporation that doesn't give a crap about its patients. read more

This is by far the most incompetent pharmacy known to man. I don't know how these people get dressed in the morning, let alone feed themselves or drive an automobile. No matter how many times they correct your script, it will be wrong every single time thereafter. That's about the only thing you can count on. A colonoscopy is more enjoyable than picking up a script here. A root canal would be a welcomed reason not to come here. I'd rather have my $%# dragged through a mile of crushed glass than come here. I am normally a Meijer shopper, but their are sons thing I like to buy elsewhere. I like Meijer's mPerks program, and often times participate in mPerks offers, but don't always find their prices to be the lowest. Meijer has a great fresh produce selection, and their periodic 10/$10 get the 11th free deals are amazing. The only reason I am giving Meijer a 3 star review is because there are things I specifically go to other stores to buy. (E.g. fresh meat and seafood and certain vegetables including mushrooms and carrots when they are not 10/$10) read more

Seems to ALWAYS be understaffed with a ridiculous wait in line. If the workers had more of a sense of urgency to get things done this would help immensely! Came in an hour after my doctor sent my prescription in and got told to come back in an hour and a half so I did but it still wasn't ready. They said it would be in 5-8 minutes the pharmacist was gonna fill it right away so I got back in line after 10 minutes and they said it still wasn't ready. read more

Meijer Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - East Lansing, Michigan

We have been using this pharmacy for years, and it just seems to be going downhill lately. Several of our last few prescriptions that were sent in were out of stock. None of our scripts are unusual or out of the ordinary, so I am not sure why they never seem to be in stock lately. We have been toying with the idea of changing pharmacies for a while, but we love the mPerks rewards and the fact that the pharmacy is open 24 hours, so we have stayed. After yet another out of stock med today (something that the doctor wanted started today), we have finally decided to cut ties with this pharmacy for our maintenance meds. I am sure that we will be here again, (if we are seen after-hours and need medication), but not as regulars. The staff is super friendly, so this is absolutely no reflection on them at all, but rather the lack of adequate ordering and keeping of stock in the pharmacy. read more

Meijer Pharmacy disappoints me every time. Last time I was there to fill a prescription, they changed the brand of drug and blamed it on what the doctor sent over. After calling my doctor twice more to make sure the correct brand was filled and actually going to the pharmacy, an employee told me it was Meijer Pharmacy that kept changing the brand. They had no answer to why they didn't tell me this the first visit of my three day Meijer Pharmacy saga. I'm currently standing in line at Meijer pharmacy in the midst of another disappointing experience. I had a prescription sent in at 3pm so I went there at 3:30pm and was told it would be ready at 5:30pm - not a big deal, I should have known half an hour wasn't enough time. I then show up at 7:30pm and they say they don't know when it will be ready. When I ask for an estimated time it could be ready they just said they couldn't tell me. I ended up waiting for a half an hour which was actually over 2 hours after they told me it would be ready. I've tried other pharmacies in town, and this isn't the worst of them all, but I will now be researching mail order prescriptions before the next time I get sick. I don't expect perfection from any business, but I do expect honesty and politeness at the least. read more

I'm disappointed every time I fill a prescription here. First, the price is outrageous. I've done some cost comparison of other pharmacies in the area. $140 for a $60 prescription. I found a coupon, that brought it down to $70! It brings this same prescription down to less than $25 at Kroger. Previous to this, I had a prescription that involved two pills. My doctor wrote it for two pills, but they had never been aware of anyone taking two. They refused to fill it until they received clarification from my doctor.... it was the weekend! So lo and behold, I had to wait 3 days. Even when I said, can I just have the one pill - no, because the doctor ordered two. Well, give me the two then! The pharmacist fought with me saying that it was unusual and refused. It was an antibiotic, not even a scheduled drug! My doctor and I even discussed taking the two pills. I'm removing all of mine and my family's prescriptions from here. No one is ever polite here and always treat you like a waste of their time. read more

Even in the middle of the night, they are SO friendly, helpful, and informative!! and just now, the associate helped me figure out how to get a script filled tonight, even tho this pharm didn't have it (nor did any of the others, she called around for me!) If I could rate this without any stars, I certainly would. Over the years, I have watched this pharmacy, and indeed the store it is in, lower its standards by leaps and bounds. My husband had a stroke not two months ago. Do you think they could actually manage to fill a blood pressure med when given several DAYS notice? Nope! We're transferring everything. A 24 hour pharmacy is useless if they regularly run out of very mainstream, easily obtained medications. read more

I started using meijer pharmacy on Lake Lansing street roughly 2 years ago. The medicine I take requires a new paper prescription everytime I fill it. What started to bother me was everytime I would go to fill my prescription they would ask me "have you used our pharmacy before" I've been going there only there 2 years of course I have. They could easily either A remember me because it's the same tech or B LOOK UP MY NAME off the sheet I just gave you and see that I have. The last thing that just made me completely change pharmacy's was I needed to fill my script before leaving on vacation and it was only one day early. They refused me and when I asked if this was a new policy or something the tech said "it depends on the pharmacist". Instead of arguing, all I needed to hear was that it's no new policy or anything. I took it to Walgreens NO PROBLEM! Meijer made me feel like a criminal for filling my own prescription, I understand that people abuse the system but I am not one nor do I have any history of it.
