I saw Rehana today to figure out what's going on. I was diagnosed with post concussion syndrome and need to reschedule my trip. Due to SI joint disfunction, I've had trouble walking and getting around. I'm not sleeping well, too. She ordered a CT scan and we're going to figure out a PT program to deal with the SI joint issue. I love coming here because I always receive top notch, quality care. Rehana and other care team members are always attentive and accommodating. I can't thank them enough.

I want to start by saying the doctors themselves (I only saw Dr Beth) and the ultrasounds techs and phlebotomists (seriously LOVEDDD them!!) are absolutely incredible really. i have no issues with the back of house staff whatsoever it's the front of the house that's the issue. The first experience I had was in August of 2024 when I believed I was having a miscarriage, I was a new patient and they got me in for blood work to confirm. This was my second pregnancy and would've been my very first miscarriage. I called a few hours later for results and the woman on the phone was so inconsiderate and lacked so much empathy during this, she said "What exactly are you looking for?" after asking for my results and I said I had bloodwork done and was looking to see if I was having a miscarriage. She said "Um well yeah you're not pregnant anymore." I said "I had a miscarriage?" she said "You're not pregnant anymore." I was absolutely heartbroken and even though I knew this outcome could happen it still would've been nice to have had some empathy during that from someone. I ended up getting pregnant again in May of 2025 and decided to give them another shot- and now after 2 months of going there I'm going to another practice for the remainder of my pregnancy. Their payment plans are very unorthodox to where they look at your insurance and estimate your total cost through delivery and ask you to pay monthly and pay up by 32 weeks i'm assuming so they can kick you out of the practice if you haven't paid...my estimate was $764 a month. I had asked many questions about this and said "Will anything be submitted to insurance or will I have to do that myself?" "What if i lose the baby halfway through the pregnancy and at that point have already paid for half the L&D that won't happen?" and the lady responded "We just want to ensure we get paid." The billing department also called me constantly to talk to me condescendingly and in my opinion almost gave a vibe that I "can't afford this practice" it was almost like they were telling me I was too poor to stay..she asked me if I could apply to Medicaid? Not knowing my situation whatsoever. Another thing is their scheduling department. It's almost as if no one there actually knows what work the office does..everytime I call it's almost as if they're wanting to say "Why are you calling an OB office for OB appointments??" couldn't be bothered, and when they don't understand the appointment type you need, they schedule you for an ultrasound even if you don't need one. I personally think they were trying to raise my bill because they knew I was leaving. At 13 weeks pregnant, I have had 4 ultrasounds...while having a completely normal pregnancy and they cost ~$150 each. As I said, the back of house is lovely, so kind, and listens to your concerns. The way the actual business is run is disorganized, they lack empathy, and only care about money.

We had never met Dr. Pinkard prior to the day I delivered, but I trust all the doctors at Southwest OB, now known as Advocate Medical. We were so impressed with her composure. I highly recommend her as a doctor and couldn't say enough positive things about my labor experience. She's the BEST!!

I wish I'd know I was pregnant a lot sooner, leaving…read moreme with more time to pick a wise, caring, and knowledgable person who tried to impart that same knowledge onto me. I wish this person hadn't made me so aware at the lack of concern some doctors have for patients they deem ignorant and of poor backgrounds. From day ONE this OBGYN made sure to make this experience a stressful one. From day ONE she was already writing me down for a c-section. I kept attending every appointment and making sure I did as I was told so that my child was healthy and to avoid a c-section she seemed bent on making me feel that I'd needed. I kept every appointment until the last month, when her staff made appointments FOR ME that I couldn't make because they were MADE FOR ME on times and days I had NO ONE to take me. I was rudely told that I had to accommodate the doctor's availability, as if my time meant nothing. On the last month, the staff and doctor HOUNDED me to attend an appointment I never made. They kept saying that I was missing appointments and that it was imperative that I make it. I only rescheduled that last appointment I NEVER MADE, and it was only because the doctor told me flat out, that if I didn't make it, I'd have a stillborn. That cut deep, especially since this doctor was aware that, when I was 17, I did have a stillborn son. There was absolutely NO REASON to use this scare tactic on me! All throughout my pregnancy my child and I were completely healthy. All tests and ultrasounds pointed out at health and everything going according to plan. There was absolutely NO REASON to tell me anything of the sort. I ended up getting so stressed out from this harassment that day, that my fiance and daughter ended up calling paramedics because I couldn't eat and my sugar dropped, making me feel ill. I became so stressed out thinking the worst, that I ended up going to the E.R. on New Year's Eve because her nasty words echoed in my head. I began fearing that this child would die. I went to the E.R. and was given a clean bill of health that day. My child and I were great, and I would be able to give birth vaginally. I felt better after that, and I decided not to go back, but the harassment persisted. I later found out that the reason she found it IMPERATIVE for me to attend the date THEY WANTED, was because the good doctor had vacation days on the week after it was imperative I go. I'd like to know why it was never imperative for this doctor to take my calls of questions and concerns, instead of ALWAYS telling me to go to the E.R if Iwas so worried? I'd love to know why I had to go without real care for the two months she was dealing with her own personal problems? I know that everyone has life events which can hinder their ability to give their work 100%, but I was never given options to see a colleague or a standby when she was unavailable at her office. I had a life growing inside of me, and I was responsible for that life. If anyone reading this is wondering why I didn't switch doctors, I'd like to add that I TRIED. I asked for my medical records but was told that they could ONLY be released to the next doctor I decided to see. I was told that my records couldn't be released to me, and because I wasn't aware of the law, I believed it! I stuck to this awful person out of ignorance, and she and her staff took advantage of that ignorance. It wasn't until AFTER I was made aware of the law preventing my medical records from being held hostage by manipulative doctors and staff that the persistent calls and feigned concern began. I told them that it was illegal for them to have denied me my records, and they claimed they were just "following protocol". I was never made aware of any protocol, only TOLD that I couldn't have them. During this call, the person in the office got so irritated that she began screaming at me, telling me I was getting defensive, when clearly it was her having the issues. I had multiple people witness this call, and even recorded part of it. Needless to say, I refused any further contact with any of these people. I knew that in order to be given okay care, I had to become my own health advocate, so I decided to give birth somewhere I thought might have a better outcome than the one I thought I'd have under that type of "care". I was wrong, but one can't always have it their way. This year, the medical community did it's job on opening my eyes to just how shady medical care can be if you're not paying close attention and informing yourself. Through their lack of concern and misuse of degrees and titles, they pushed me onto my possible career path. Thank you! Thank you for sucking so much that you moved me toward becoming informed and also to helping women to never having to go through what I went through this year.

They called a day ahead with instructions and directions to the place. 11:30am PET Scan appointment (apparently the only place in the area that does this type of test). We were very early and they got us registered right away. Cecily at registration was super nice. They called us back at exactly 11:30 where we were warmly greeted and escorted by Kelly. Then Michelle administers the IV injection. The reclining chair looked super comfy. It's an hour wait to let the injection work through the system. They brought out a pillow and blanket to make the patient comfy. They put the patient's belongings in a locker and gave us the key. Kelly was very caring and kind, offered me a water. Very clean facility. It is a bright blue building exterior and you can't miss it. I can't speak yet for how quickly the results get to the referring specialist, since the test was today. Hoping the rest of the process goes smoothly.

Please don't waste your time. Waiting 2 weeks for the results on a ultrasound. Absolutely horrendous and borderline malpractice. My partner has been going here for years and has…read moreeven referred patients. We became pregnant and it made sense for him to be our OB. We were with him for 1st and 2nd trimester. In that time, the level of care would've been laughable if it so wasn't traumatic. We would wait in the waiting room for, at minimum, 1 hour after our scheduled appointment. We learned to call an hour ahead. We called and they said everything's on time. Got there - waited an hour - and then was told they didn't have bloodwork from the 1st trimester. WE DID THEM THERE IN THE OFFICE. They lost our blood work and then tried to blame her. Dr Mac then came out and said we've been a bad patient - she was crying and he and his staff were teaming up on her berating her and saying she was wrong. Office manager was screaming at her over Dr Mac. We did everything to a T correctly as it's our first pregnancy. (Also worth noting - my partner drove an hour both ways for this and was hit by a truck in her car on her way home) Now some words for you Mac. Listen here pal... every time we've seen you, we've had to remind you of what we have next and why tests haven't been ordered. You come in for 1 minute, fly through an exam, and ask if we need anything - which is when WE had to tell YOU what needs to be done. Typical response was "oh we haven't done that yet?" This was our level of care. You didn't tell her she had a negative blood type which required a Rogam shot every 4 weeks. We missed the first 2 doses because you didn't even know what her blood type was well into the 2nd trimester. You tested her blood sugar and called her A MONTH LATER to tell her she has gestational diabetes and we should go see a dietician. Which, by the way, if ANYTHING is wrong with our baby when it's delivered, you've opened yourself up to litigation. You brought my partner to tears telling her she's a bad patient and we didn't get blood work done. If we hadn't advocated for ourselves and joined groups and forums... we wouldn't have known ANYTHING that needed to be done. We found a new OB at Northwestern they LAUGHED at the paperwork Mac sent over. They literally said "he's seriously still practicing?" Absolutely no organization and they lost all of her blood work that, again, was done IN OFFICE!!! Yet berated a first time pregnant mother into tears for being a "bad patient". You are just a number here. A box to be checked. Get e'm in and get e'm out. Absolutely no accountability or advocation for their patients. I'd recommend a clinic before I'd ever recommend this toxic office.

Service here is wonderful ... chiefly MRI and X-ray services offered for patients referred here by their physician. Not even a "sorry I almost sent you to the wrong place". I try to avoid this facility just because of her!
