My mom has been to Haute Headz several times and has always been patient whenever the salon ran behind. There have been multiple appointments where she had to wait because previous clients went over their scheduled time, and she never made an issue out of it. Recently, she was running about 15 minutes late for her appointment, but she did exactly what any respectful customer should do--she called ahead. The front desk told her it wouldn't be a problem since her appointment was one of the last before closing. When she got there, Lexi told her she couldn't do the service. My mom was understandably confused because she had called ahead and was told everything would be okay. She politely asked why she had been scheduled for a balayage if there wasn't enough time to complete it. Instead of explaining the situation professionally, Lexi became rude. At one point, she looked at my mom and asked what she wanted because she was "just staring at me." My mom wasn't staring to be rude--she was shocked and trying to process everything that was happening. Then Lexi said she didn't want my mom to "hate her hair and then I don't get paid for four hours of work." I honestly couldn't believe someone would speak to a customer that way. My mom wasn't yelling, arguing, or causing a scene. She was simply trying to understand why she had been told one thing over the phone and something completely different when she arrived. What makes this even more frustrating is the double standard. My mom has always been expected to be understanding when the salon was running behind, but when she needed a little understanding herself--even after calling ahead--she was met with disrespect instead. I want to make it clear that this review isn't about the entire salon. My mom has had wonderful experiences with other stylists there, and they've always been kind and professional. This is specifically about the way Lexi handled this situation. Watching my mom leave feeling disrespected was incredibly disappointing. Every customer deserves to be treated with basic kindness and professionalism, even if an appointment can't be completed. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here.

Instead of being at the salon three or four hours due to sharing the stylist among several customers at a time, Eulinda gives her customers one-on-one attention. The atmosphere is great and they're extremely friendly. HOWEVER, I unfortunately received a bad sew-in. I got a natural sewin installed with leave-out. when I left the salon everything looked great. The next day as I tried to style the hair, I noticed there wasn't enough leave out to cover my tracks. ( so embarassing!) I also had string sticking out everywhere, making it hard to comb the style without getting tangled with the string. Also, the sew-in was not secure. The whole style began to become loose! When I reached out to Chante, she responded saying I would have to pay $15.00 to have tracks added. She only addressed my comment on how thin the style was but not the important parts.! I explained to her that wasn't the main problem but the leave out was. She braided the hair straight down. S to fix it, the entire style would need to be taken out. I decided not to go back and have her "fix" the style because I was not going to pay more money for something she did. I never once asked for a refund. I truly just wanted to have my hair fixed. I'm a mother with three boys and a full-time job. I made time to get my hair done ( something that doesn't come often) , and unfortunately had to take it out because of how poorly the style was installed. All I got from the owner was a " Sorry for the inconvenience. Happy Holidays."

The groupon was specifically for Brittany and she was really friendly as well. My main problem with this place is that they double dip the popsicle stick they use while waxing in the wax pot, which is a huge problem!!! There have been horror stories of girls going in for a wax and getting a STD or some kind of disease because it is not hygienic. They also use strip wax for a Brazilian which is not my preference. She seemed rushed while doing the wax and didn't really do the best job. I will not be coming back here for a wax ever again.
