While they dress up in scrubs they are not licensed or trained pharmacists, nor entitled to behave as if they are better than the people on the customer side of the counter. While this particular visit was marked only by poor service and a terrible attitude, my last visit included a medication compatibility question left unanswered as the technician (Again NOT a pharmacist or MD, just playing dress up in scrubs) couldn't be bothered to get or ask the pharmacist and just shrugged her shoulders. That from one wearing "Trainer" not trainee - on her name badge. Continuation from my earlier visit today left on the previous survey... Went back in to get my 5 new to me prescriptions. Pharmacy technician was more helpful vs the terrrrrible experience earlier today. So I was handed 5 new to me medications - meaning I have never taken these before - without even an offer or suggestion for a consult with the pharmacist (The real person with a license and not a tech dressed in scrubs). I asked for one anyway and even the pharmacist acted annoyed to have to come speak to me. Now... Last time I checked we have 5 rights in medication - Right patient, right medication, right dose, right route, right time... Part of this is to protect the patient from possible medication reactions and interaction between medications.... So when did protecting the safety of patients become a secondary concern for Walgreens? In this case assuming the average patient will be able to read and fully understand the medication pamphlet and assess that to any other OTC medications or scripted meds they might be taking seems to be asking a lot.

I showed up to pick up my prescription around 5pm. I was told that they did not have it. The drive thru technician is extremely rude, not a sorry or anything. After calling the pharmacy to question where my prescription was I was met with more rudeness. Apparently if you say this is bs, they lose all patience with you. They were trying to tell me and my wife that we were lying. After a 2 hour ordeal, they finally found the prescription filed under the wrong date. The icing on the cake was they didn't even have it attached to the correct profile. I updated all of my information last week, never received an email confirmation about my prescription. This pharmacy is lackluster and needs to be investigated. If this is how they treat their patients, I feel bad for the ones who frequent this location. What a load of crap. My husband and I tested positive for Covid this morning. Sadly, my husband told his care provider to call in the prescription for Paxlovid to Walgreens. Since this Walgreens is a 1/4 mile from our house, and we feel like shit, I asked my provider to send my RX to this dump too. They have had this RX since 10AM!! After calling numerous times, and never being able to speak to a human, we gave up. But the recorded message we listened to at 4pm informed us that my husband's meds were out of stock, and there was an insurance problem causing a delay in filling mine. Another load of Walgreens crap. I called my doc, and explained the sloppy management of our prescriptions. She agreed, and called it into the Publix pharmacy on Florida St. In stock and no insurance issues, ready in 45 minutes. This medication is supposed to be started asap. The Walgreens at 1320 Government St does NOT care about your health. It is plain nasty. I wouldn't fill my dog's meds there. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. You will be treated with respect, get your meds in a timely fashion and won't be lied to.

Anyway I decided to see if Royal is still around as I take off my worn out cedit card holder off of my phone. Hope to find another one that last this long.
