The nurses' professionalism, standard of care and compassion is second to none. The doctors are honest and patient in answering all questions. This is not your standard hospital. This is a military hospital where the staff works hard here despite other competing priorities such as military obligations. They also worked during shutdowns. Definitely an all star health care facility.

Extremely Disappointing Experience With the LASIK Department…read more I am extremely disappointed with the way my LASIK surgery process was handled. As a soldier, I understand that medical procedures have strict eligibility requirements and that a patient can ultimately be found ineligible. What I do not understand is the way this situation was communicated and handled from beginning to end. Prior to my appointment, I was informed that the slight deviation in my eye could potentially result in disqualification. I understood that this was a possibility and was prepared for the procedure to be denied if the medical evaluation determined that I was not a candidate. However, after traveling approximately seven hours to the facility based on being told that my surgical packet had been approved, I was given a completely different explanation. Upon arrival, I was told that the deviation was not simply a potential disqualifying factor--it was apparently too severe for them to operate on. I was then informed that I would never be able to have eye surgery. That is an extremely significant conclusion to give a patient, especially after previously communicating something substantially different. If the condition was severe enough to make me permanently ineligible for eye surgery, that should have been clearly communicated before I was told my packet was approved and before I made a seven-hour trip. The only additional communication I received was an abrupt phone call from an optometrist who identified herself as Ms. Wang. The only instruction I was given was essentially, "Stop rubbing your eyes." I was not provided with a clear explanation of what had changed, why my previous information was different, or why I was suddenly being considered permanently ineligible. What was particularly frustrating was that the surgeon would not even speak with me directly to explain the decision. Instead, I was left dealing with an individual who was extremely argumentative and disrespectful in the way they communicated with me. Rather than treating me like a patient who was simply asking legitimate questions about a major medical decision, I was spoken to in a condescending manner, almost as if I did not understand the most basic concepts being discussed. I was not asking anyone to perform a procedure that was medically unsafe. I was asking for a reasonable explanation of why I was previously told my packet was approved, why the determination changed upon arrival, and why I was now being told that I could never have eye surgery. Those are completely reasonable questions for a patient to ask. The seven-hour drive made the situation even more unacceptable. This was not a minor inconvenience. I spent significant time, fuel, and effort traveling based on information provided to me by the department. If there were unresolved medical concerns that could result in permanent disqualification, those concerns should have been addressed before I was told I was approved and instructed to report for surgery. The biggest issue here is not that I was ultimately found to be a poor candidate for surgery. Medical professionals have every right to determine that a procedure is unsafe. The issue is the lack of consistent communication, the apparent change in explanation, the absence of a meaningful solution, and the disrespectful manner in which my questions were handled. I would strongly encourage the LASIK department to reevaluate how it communicates surgical approvals and disqualifications to soldiers. Patients deserve accurate information before traveling significant distances, and they deserve to have major medical decisions explained to them by qualified medical professionals--not dismissed, talked down to, or left without answers

I had to find a reliable ride for a medical appointment in Napa, and after a stressful experience…read morewith another service, I came across Medbridge. Honestly, I'm glad I did. From the first phone call, they made everything feel easy and organized, which was a big relief. The day of my appointment, the driver showed up right on time, introduced himself, and made sure I was comfortable before we even left. I wasn't feeling my best that day, but the smooth ride and calm environment made a difference. It didn't feel rushed or impersonal like other transportation services I've used around Napa. What stood out to me was how dependable and professional the whole experience was. If you've ever had to deal with unreliable medical transportation in Napa, you know how stressful that can be. Medbridge took that stress off my plate. If you're in Napa Valley and need non-emergency medical transportation you can actually count on, I'd recommend Medbridge without hesitation. It felt more like being taken care of than just getting a ride.

A joke. A representative gave me a very concending phone…read morecall from here and said I was 5 minutes late to an old appointment, and claimes that I called in absent too late for another appointment a year ago. I was there on time for the 9 of the 11 appointments that I made. They counted me as totally absent for 2 full appointments. They said another absence and I get kicked off the platform....wow I made an appointment for a followup after an emergency room visit when a doctor and nurse confirmed an upper rib Crack and another rib below my heart that had been contused from coughing from "alleged" covid... Mind you I carefully planned out this day off from work 2 WEEKS ahead of time because I knew the visit was going to take plenty of time to pinpoint the causation of my problem. Also I knew they were backed up from covid. I proceeded to get a call THE MORNING OF my appointment at 8am to tell me that my Dr. Appointment would be over the phone, they called me at 8AM!! (before work hours) to tell me that my appointment would be held over t7he internet. I then over the phone when they called me...asked the team if they needed an xray; and they said the doctor would have to make the call. My appointment was 5 and a half hours later after they had contacted me the DAY OF after I had cleared my work schedule. Had I known they would do this, I could have had a Dr. Interview during my lunch break. I'm waiting to hear anything on my phone...at 2pm for a text or a call or anything from my doctor to contact me on tenterhooks, and the assistant calls me 1 hour late and is like "She's going to be an hour or maybe more late getting to you What?? After all that berating me for being 5 minites late to 1 appointment?? Fine. The doctor eventually goes ahead and tells me yeah, you spend 2 times in the emergency room and the xrays looked MUCH worse the second time, possibly due to a "Virus" She DOES NOT PRESCRIBE ME PAIN MEDS FOR IT. I had a blood test In the emergency room proving my abstinence from weed and drugs... my primary care doctor sends me to the to the urgency unit near the mall to get tested for covid. The primary care unit failed to send me the recommendation of my primary care Dr. through to urgency. The urancy unit has to look it up later because the primary care team never sent the recommendation like they said they would... The urgency care gave me a covid test...FALSE. I have no history of drug use and no actual use of drugs. They took an xray of me finally for a healing rib fracture...but they can't see the rib contusion, but know its there....they gave me fucking TYLONOL! After that, sent me home with a muscle relaxer and Motrin. The muscle relaxer was denied by my insurance. I am In pain 3 weeks later and had to take leave from Amazon because of chest pain.
