The best way to end your vacation is by breaking a bone, right? Oh, it's not, well color me…read moreinformed. They say no good deed goes unpunished. I relearn that quite often. I was donating items to a drive for my niece when I went to put down a tabletop for donation. Little did I know, but the tabletop was a dropleaf. When I set it down, the dropleaf gave way and dropped on my toe. Oh the many curse words that entered my mind but did not slip out my mouth were incredible. I was not in the mood to go to an emergency room to sit for hours and I sought out the nearest urgent care near my Dad's house. This was the closest and we were on our way. Got there, signed in and only had a few minute wait. Taken back, vitals taken, and I was in an exam room pretty quickly. NP came in, told her the jest, and soon enough I was having an x-ray taken. From the films, she could see a break in my toe, but wanted to get a second set of eyes on them. This is where they dropped the ball. I was to receive a call after they were reviewed to confirm the break. However, the follow up call never came. I mean, it would not have made a difference either way. But to not have a follow up call that was promised, made me think that they really didn't need that second set of eyes. The type of break I had did not warrant a cast, thankful for that. But I was given gauze to buddy tape the toes together to keep it as stationary as possible. From living in the area before my move, I didn't have to do much in terms of insurance, information and all that. It was already in the system which fast paced this. The other thing that I didn't like was that I was told my co-pay would be charged to my card, but ended up getting a bill in the mail later.

The ID that was on the screen I saw and there was no change in my looks on the ID, so I had to leave and bleed all over my friend's car because those who say Icare really don't care. They defiantly need to change this policy or the name to ID care only even if they have your ID on file because if they cared since it was emergency they could have stitched me up unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place if you have an emergency if you're bleeding and don't have your identification on you. Do yourself a favor and go to the ER you wait a little longer and use the ID they have on file. Thank you, Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center my trip from the Icare to the ER was longer than my wait.

This is the best non-surgical care I've received in years. The only thing that comes remotely close…read moreis the Cleveland Clinic. IHealth is extremely affordable, the practitioners are so kind and never rush. It's how medicine used to be practiced. I trust these two fellows over every doctor in Pittsburgh! They always are spot on. As a fellow healthcare worker having experienced PCPs reading labs incorrectly, not doing a single thing during a physical,, misdiagnosing me when symptoms were very clear, having zero bedside manner disregarding pain and so on, it's a relief I no longer need to travel out of state to get decent healthcare. I just am terrified people will find out how phenomenal they are and their care model and make their wait times really long. I can only imagine they already have a rational solution if that happens unlike every hospital and practice in Pittsburgh. This city is a healthcare disaster and should learn from these two as to how to be real practitioners and provide good care instead of being pushed around by hospital management and insurance companies. I thankfully left healthcare, and though I miss the patients I knew our care was terrifyingly bad and dangerous. Sadly, I wish more people knew so they could fight for better healthcare. I commend you IHealth. Please don't leave Pittsburgh ( though I can't wait to get back to civilization)!

Today he was able to help me with a virtual visit. It was so easy, Dr. Wong is great at communicating options and treatment plans, working with you. If you need labs, he'll order them or if you like, email you directly. If you have insurance, and choose to use it for the lab, that's fine. Or he can set you up for a discounted rate! Go see Dr. Wong on ihealth!
