They claim they're all for a momthers mental health. Thats a lie. After a very traumatic first birth it was decided by myself and my husband we wanted a C-section for the second. The dr literally is shaming me for requesting one. Saying "it would be a sin" now my BP is all over the place and my anxiety is thru the roof. So much for having a choice in your healthcare. The Physical Therapy staff is incredible. Patient, encouraging, polite, respe ctful, understanding and more. I had knee replacement surgery and had a couple of setbacks during recovery - some of my own making... They didn't give up on me but never pushed me beyond what I was able to do on any particular day. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of outpatient PT! read more

Excela Health recently opened this new location. It's situated off Route 30 near Latrobe, making it very accessible. Parking is easily available. This building houses out patient services as well as several physicians and practices. I was here to see one of my doctors who relocated to this new site. Formerly, he had been located in Latrobe Hospital. Parking there is sometimes challenging and maneuvering through the hospital was at times difficult. Upon walking into this building, there is a reception desk and one may ask for information. Everything is brand new and very clean. There is a coffee shoppe off to the side. First floor has the different therapies, physical, occupational , speech and diagnostic testing. On the second floor, there are suites for each modality, such as internal, cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, primary care, etc. This was my first time here but I am to come back for some tests. Four stars for now, because everything is new and staff persons were nice and helpful. I'll check back in after my tests and see how it goes. read more

Family Practice prescribed four different CNS depressants by four different "doctors" (some where PAs and some were residents, I THINK) some of whom I'd never met. When I lost my temper on a phone call and asked "what kind of circus are you m*therf*ckers running out there" because I was worried about accidentally being overdosed and DYING? They labelled me a problem and "dismissed from care." Their "doctors in residence" program has serious ethical and systemic problems. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing, and neither hand much cares. That's how I wound up with four central nervous system depressants in quantities high enough to kill me. Excela likes to fire the patient, when they screw up. I've been banned twice for demanding explanations (the other time was when my neurologist quit and they never bothered to tell me), and once for crying too much. Oh, and they're withholding my medical records to cover themselves. I've filed two federal HIPAA complaints and still no sign of them. read more

While my mother has great experience with Dr. Horn and his team. My wife's puppy there is dr. Floyd and his team. Dr. Floyd is great but because of that, is very tough to get an appointment with him. His team is is not very good... Dr. Witt is not willing to help out patients as he does and the supervisor Angela O. Was very aggressive with my wife and I. My entire family is happily situated with this practice. They provide excellent care, are very responsive to our needs, and, although they are connected to a residency program, each time we have had an appointment in which a resident was the first doctor to assess, there was always consultation and sometimes a check in by our regular physician. Furthermore, my father is in a long- term care facility, and the doctor for that placement is a part of the Excela Square group. He is very good, and extremely responsive to family questions and my father's needs. In addition, the nurses and nurse managers are above par- always helpful and very knowledgeable. read more

My fiance went for a physical that her job required and the staff at excela occupational medicine in latrobe were very rude and impatient with her. She waited for 45 minutes in the room and when she opened the door to ask if someone was coming, one of the nurses snapped at her. It was extremely unprofessional and I'm appalled at how things were handled. read more
