3/3/2024 - Brought my daughter to the Andover location as she was having trouble breathing, especially when laying down. Was told by the front desk (lack of) assistant that they only had one provider and that we could make an appointment for the next day. The assistant didn't ask any questions other than "what do you need to be seen for?" Website clearly says "Walk-ins Available". Maybe I misunderstand urgent care? Long story short, MedExpress takes the urgent out of urgent care!! Would avoid at all costs. Maybe if you have a head-wound you have a chance but they simply said "we only have one provider tonight and we are not able to help you. This happened at about 6:00pm on a Sunday. Their website stated they were open until 8:00pm. The only reason we sought urgent care was because it was Sunday. On Monday, as the front desk advised, we would have found an in-network clinic that could see her (probably 10-12 clinics within 30 minutes from my house). Hoping she doesn't end up in the ER, but that would be better than going to this clinic again. read more

Closed but takes appointments. Corporate office is gone for the winter. Beware of this clinic and company. There are only 2 left in this state. This one had construction or demo going on with a lockbox on the door. No signs or anything. Walgreens employee said they are done. read more

I dinged my finger with a grinder and almost didn't get stitches. However, this place was close and convenient so I decided to give it a try. It was a great experience. Fast, caring, and competent; I got stitched up in a hurry (4 stitches). Now I'm back to making poor decisions with power tools! If you get hurt go here. I had a great experience at this location for a drug screening for a new position. Making an appointment was easy online and the communication I received from Kierra at the front desk was 10/10. She is personable, efficient, and a joy to interact with. Aside from Kierra, the rest of the staff was also kind and very informative. Very happy with my experience today. read more

I wouldn't even give this place star.. they act dizzy asl the doctor didn't give a correct physical right! the drug screening process suck and not to mention they lost my blood sample so I had to go to another clinic and get my blood test re-done. I walked in their place today and told a receptionist that I have a chest pain and I would like to check if this is anxiety or something more serious. The receptionist was more interested in getting my credit card on file instead of telling me that they are unable to check any heart related issues at their clinic. I was walked in a room where a nurse took my blood pressure, temperature and pulse. She told me if I have a heart issues, they won't be able to trest it in their place and will take me to the hospital. She said they don't have the right equipment. I specifically asked her again if they will be able to identify the problem at their place and she assured me they will, I don't need to worry. If this is anxiety or a panic attack, they will help me on a spot. If this is some serious heart conditions, they will send me to ER. 30 minutes later a doctor walked in the room and immediately told me I have to go to ER because they don't have the equipment to figure out my chest pain. This place is a joke! Bunch of sharlatans who are only interested in money. I asked him why they made me waste so much time in here? Why the receptionist and the nurse misinformed me? He had no answer. When I walked out, I asked the receptionist if they still will bill me for wasting my time and keeping me in the room for so long for nothing and she told me that I have to contact their billing department! Will see how much they will charge me for this nonsense Stay away from this place! Look at their ratings! Wow, when I tell you underwhelmed and way more of a hassle then help. You're better off looking up your symptoms on WebMD. I went in for chronic cough and after only taking my temperature, blood pressure, and looking into my throat and ears was told me I might have either acid reflux or cancer and prescribed a cough suppressant. Casual for such a range. The worst part was dealing with billing. Was on the phone for over 90 mins back and forth with them and my insurance since they charged me the whole balance. After not taking fault the entire time on the phone and insisting I continue calling my insurance again (I had enough after 4 back and forth calls and merged the two parties to talk), they finally realized the office didn't scan my card correctly which led them to bill the wrong insurance so MedExpress never submitted the claim to my actual insurance. If I didn't push they were happily going to allow this to go to collections and continue to blame me rather than help find a solution. Absolutely wild! read more

My first two visits to MedExpress was fine. Visit one was Dr. Sima Rad, and second was Dr. Mark Mills. Both of them very courteous, personable, and listened very well. However, today's provider, Ms. Lisa Bojado, NP, was on the opposite side of the spectrum. As a parent of a medically fragile child with HIE since birth, we have encountered MANY providers and specialists. Ms. Bojado is perhaps the second worst provider in terms of bedside manners. The worst was a orthopedic surgeon who insisted on complete hip replacements for our child when he was 3 yrs old. Ms. Bojado did not listen to me as a patient, was dismissive, condescending, and worst of all did not provide me with further tools to ensure that this illness will not continue. As a matter of fact, my meds have run out, and this bronchitis/pneumonia is not gone. There is a good chance of it coming back this week stronger and worst. I would have to make a 4TH trip if I do not get better in 48 hrs when the steroid flushes out of my system which is keeping the lung inflammation at bay. Her response to my concern was that she did not expect me to get worst. She did not display an ounce of sympathy, and insisted on her way with her arms crossed the entire time. All she did was give me permission to up my night time dosage of my cough suppressant med, and tell me about some over the counter meds. I have to add that in my 4 decades of dealing with a weak set of asthmatic lungs that are prone to bronchitis I have not EVER had to go to a clinic 3 times for the same illness. This was the first. Feedback given to MedExpress through their patient survey: I first came to MedExpress because of the 4.0 Google rating, whereas the other clinic I was going to at North Memorial Urgent Care in Roseville had a 3.2 rating. I thought I'd try it out. Your front desk is great, and the nurses are great. But your doctors/NP/PA's have GOT to have stellar bedside manners. Ms. Bojado's demeanor and attitude is EVERYTHING that is wrong with what patients experience as bad medicine: not listening, unsympathetic, dismissive, insists on their own way (closed-mindedness), and giving a overall sense of an uncaring doctor. Worst of all, I still stand a chance of my illness extended yet another week with a chance of complications. She was willing to take a chance, I am not okay with that. Not at all. If my illness will not improve by the weekend and I will be returning to my GP to get a second opinion. How you can improve your business is to remove any providers like Ms. Bojado from your system, lest your Google rating drops down to your competitors' and you no longer have a competitive advantage in the marketplace, undoing the great work you have created in your front lobby patient experience. read more

They said registration was closed and they don't even closed til 8pm and we came in around 6:50pm!

After a month of dealing with finger pain and a nail bed injury, I decided to come by because it was the closest urgent care to my work and it also provided x-rays. I should add that when I originally injured my finger, the workplace clinic told me I was fine and sent me on the way. When I got to MedExpress, everyone was incredibly nice and they got me in right away. The facility is clean and welcoming, and that meant a lot because I'm a germaphobe! The radiologist took my vitals and sent Dr Mark Mills in. He was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The whole team was! After about 20 minutes, they had me diagnosed with a fracture in my finger, had a future orthopedic appointment set up for me, and the care I needed to be sent on my way. The team even let me come out, see my x-rays, and gave me a CD of them! They were more than willing to answer all of my crazy questions and made me feel comfortable even though I'd just officially broken my first bone. The team had a great sense of humor and I'll absolutely be coming back (although hopefully I won't need to for a while) . I'm from New York and past urgent cares just wanted to get you in and out of there. Not this location. Greatest urgent care experience yet!! read more

Only go here if you need to. They are always "short staffed" and have a line of people waiting to be helped with only one receptionist. The receptionist may also show up late so be prepared for a wait time or at least 30 minutes if not 2 hours. They will also continue to have you wait even if you make it clear you are short of breath. read more

This has been the most frustrating experience I have ever had. Came in for a drug test at 6:30pm and they are telling me they don't do it by that time. Come back the next day, they were being very rude about registering which I had no idea what they were talking about. An explanation of why I need to register or why they don't do tests after 6pm would have been nice. Don't come here unless you absolutely have to. read more

I thought this place would be wonderful from the previous 5 star reviews it has received, but DO NOT come here! Waited over 2 hours for a Lymes Disease test and to be told "we will just monitor it". In my opinion you don't just "monitor" a tick bite that has green discharge as well as flu like symptoms. In Pennsylvania, we give an antibiotic for preventative measures. ALSO on top of all of this I was informed at the end of my exam that this location is a COVID-19 testing center!!! Their reception and billing services are incompetent. The most negative aspect of my experience with the company was that I continued to get harassing emails, text messages, voicemails, and letters threatening to take me to collections for months after I both provided payment, and then also provided a copy of my HSA companies completed check confirming I had in fact already made the payment. I ultimately had to spend more than 4 hours either on the phone or emailing with their customer service/billing department to act as the middleman between them and my HSA to get them to acknowledge that I had paid my bill promptly and in full. When I expressed my displeasure to the person I spoke to in their billing department they tried to deflect blame to my HSA provider, but I have been using the same HSA for all of my medical bills for 5 years with no previous issues, so this was clearly incorrect. Additionally, the office visit I had was also unsatisfactory. I had a cut on my face that needed to be stitched. I called ahead and was told over the phone I could be seen immediately. Then when I arrived I was initially turned away by the receptionist (despite still visibly bleed from my face) and told I would need to leave the building and register online (even though they made no mention of this over the phone), so I had to go back to the car and try to register while bleeding from my face. I quickly realized that was going to be impractical so I went back to the reception desk and made it clear I would not be registering online and was then finally seen. This place is great the only complaint that I have is that they are spendy! I have gone to the target urgent cares for UTI's and Sinus infections and my insurance has covered it all but not here their office visit was $201.00 which to me is coded way to high for the type of visit I had. I was in Medical Billing for years with Specialists and a limited visit was not this expensive. I know I have insurance but still way to much for the time they spent with me and the diagnosis. The care is awesome but I just feel they are a bit overpriced. read more

I had a walk in appointment at this location & the staff was incredibly rude. Did not seem to care a single bit with my feelings or opinions. Blatantly ignored my requests & didn't give me the time of day as I was clearly in pain & upset. One of the nurses (didn't get her name. short blond hair) was so incredibly rude I can't believe she is able to care for vulnerable people. I will be writing a letter to corporate to voice my concerns. As a nursing student I was APPALLED by the attitude of the staff. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. My boyfriend thought he broke his toe so we went in on New Year's Day at 7 when they closed at 8. The receptionist, nurse, and especially the doctor were so nice. They seemed to really care. It was a nice place on the inside and there wasn't a wait. read more

I went here twice, and so far really liked how thoughtful everyone seemed. And how the PAs worked with me to figure out what treatments I was comfortable with. Over all they made it a good experience. Wait time is fair to moderate likely because they spend time with patients, and theyre small but well equipped. read more

They sent me away when I came in with a suspected concussion because they "don't have the equipment there" to handle a concussion. The place I finally ended up at didn't do anything fancy or any imaging and just performed a neurological exam. Could have saved myself a bunch of time if they'd just performed the neurological exam here. There was no one else in the waiting area and it looked nice inside, but apparently, they can't even give a simple test that requires virtually no additional equipment. read more

The service the 2 times I have went there was excellent however it is triple the cost of a CVS minute Cinic and More expensive then my primary care physician. For that reason I will not be using their services again, One of the visits was a simple throat culture and it was nearly $400! read more

I have lived in California, DC, Florida and Minnesota and have visited urgent care centers in each for everything from the flu to a sting ray barb through my toe, and this is hands down the best urgent care I've been to in the last 20 years. The front desk staff is incredibly helpful and polite. The facility is clean and bright. They are adjacent to Walgreeens so it makes picking up a prescription especially efficient. Dr. Mark Mills is by far and away the most personable, knowledgable and approachable physician I've had the pleasure of meeting in an urgent care or any hospital for that matter. I will highly recommend MedExpress and Dr. Mills to my friends and family in the area! read more
