Went in with strep throat and was met by the kindest, most patient receptionist. I didn't have my insurance card but he helped me find my account and was not pressing at all. I was called in within minutes of signing in and was treated and diagnosed quickly. The DNP was very kind and helpful. Overall a great experience. In an out within 45 minutes. Do not go here unless you want to be scammed. The person at the counter was rude and I was quoted almost double for services compared to what my insurance told me it would be at this urgent care. Was told I needed to pay out of pocket and would not be able to send a receipt to my insurance for confirmation or else I'd be charged with insurance fraud. Dealt with an extremely unhelpful counter person only to leave unsatisfied and not able to get the services I needed. I will not be returning and I recommend others steer clear of this place (wish I could give 0 stars). read more

My mom is from Florida. She broke her wrist while here. We went here for medical care. The break was confirmed by an xray. She also had a small cut on the back of her head. It appears that profit and avoiding litigation are most important for this clinic. The PA had my mother sign paperwork for a tetanus shot before explaining the pros and cons. The PA never examined the cut on her head, just recommended the shot "as we do for everyone who gets cut". It's estimated that there are fewer than 30 cases of tetanus in the u.s. annually Then we were shuffled out the door and referred to orthopedic care at another office which didn't take her insurance. I'm sure there's accessible data which shows whether a referral accepts your insurance. I don't recommend. read more

If you're looking for fast, don't come here. Phone staff is incredibly rude on the phone, and prepare to be put on hold for an ungodly amount of time. THEN, once they do check you in (over the phone) you then need to wait at in the parking lot for even more time. They quoted me 1.5 hours to be seen for a RAPID Covid test.....and then after the test told me I'd need to wait there (there being outside in the parking lot) for another hour. I understand that we're still experiencing Covid so times are skewed, however we're nearly two years into this, they should have some sort of better working system. I'd been here a few times before last week's experience... which weren't bad but weren't really great. Went here for a fishbone in my throat a year or 2 ago, after waiting so long we started to walk out, they gave us a Dr to see. This Dr was useless, couldn't see or do anything. Went home and 1hr later while lying on my side a 1+ inch fishbone fell on my tongue. This place billed my insurance for hundreds for being useless. Today, they want to bill my insurance company for mandatory Dr visit in order to get a Covid test. Nope. Stay away from Med Express facilities they are part of the reason insurance rates are skyrocketing. My doctor has scheduled a Covid test for FREE for me. Why are covid tests free and no insurance card needed everywhere else BUT Med Express??? I see in the majority of your replies you ask for our personal info to be sent to you. Phone personnel are generally rude. Their phones drop calls as well--lots of hello hello, slightly stuttering calls and we called on 3 different phones-get that fixed. The person on the phone asks for information and then says wait slow down when you're answering the question they asked and you're talking slow---while they're still typing the last question--just slow down, go one at a time. They do this rudely. The waits--yes it's Covid --are long--expect to be in the parking lot anywhere from 1- 5 hours (no exaggeration). The electronic system they set you up for to get results will not let you register minors (under 18) -so if you need their results you're going to be at the mercy of them calling you which can be hours later than your adult results arrive in their system. They could--in a well thought out way--patently tell you on the phone before you go there, that minors results will be phone only and not available on line but they give you information packets to set up accounts for the minors that are wholly useless......Good planning would be to simply say this at the phone intake, information call and when they finish your test. Minors results are verbal delivery only--no voice messages. Easy Peasy. USA has done a horrible job with making tests easy , accessible, and even mildly incentivized. This location could simply use some random calls from management or Dept. of Public Health officials to capture the one or two bad apples that seem to be longer term employees based on similar reviews. read more

I brought my 5 year old daughter in today for a suspected ear infection. We were seen promptly and Dr. Kealy was great with my daughter. He prescribed amoxicillin for the ear infection, gave my daughter a few stickers and sent us on our way. I would be leaving a 5 star review if it wasn't for the way we were treated by the lady at the desk. I didn't catch her name but whoever works Monday's in the afternoon was very rude to us. I didn't have my daughters insurance card on me so she asked me to call my wife and try to get her to send a picture of it. So I call her up and ask. During the 30 second conversation I had with my wife the woman at the desk is interrupting me and just treating my daughter and I very badly for no apparent reason. Maybe she doesn't like kids because she seemed very pleasant to the other adults in the room but refused to even address my daughter to say hi or anything and my daughter is just the sweetest little girl. She didn't deserve to be treated like that. So in conclusion, this place has great medical treatment and they seem pretty fast most of the time but they really need to work on customer service. read more

I've been here 3 times (Hadley, MA) and the doctors are fine but the problem is the staff. One woman in particular is so unpleasant and unfriendly, I hate to even have to come here. Came here on Saturday cause I had accidentally touched some peanut butter and gotten it on my face, and since I have a deadly peanut allergy, I thought I should go to urgent care to make sure I was okay. The treatment I received was great, the benadryl I had taken prior was working therefore all was done was some vitals and listened to my heart and lungs. All clear! The problem I had was with the lady at the front desk, I think her name was Elizabeth. I come and start saying that I have a nut allergy and got some peanut butter on my face, and have started getting hives, and this woman cuts me off and asks for ID and insurance card. Half way through her only caring about me handing over payment, she goes "so you got something in your eye?" and i go "no...", i explain AGAIN what has happened, and she just glares at me as I talk and then goes on with the papers and paying. The treatment was fine, but seriously do something with how your patients are treated when they first come in. She was rude and she did not have a care in the world about what was wrong with me. read more

This place is pretty great, for my limited experience. I only went in for a pre-employment drug screening. Seems it was 'hiring day' locally, and there was a wait but it wasn't crazy, nor was it the fault of the clinic that so many people were sent in. The staff is really easygoing. In particular, the lady at the front desk didn't shove you an attitude if you asked how long it might be so you can step out a minute. It's cool when people whose work involves relating between patients and the greater staff are willing to actually...relate to the customers. The drs were cool and friendly, as was everyone else I encountered. And they didn't rush me, nor drag the process out. These guys are all out friendly and helpful people, I'd say. 10/10 balance between professionalism and general courtesy. They also laughed at my bad jokes. +3 for the will that must've taken. read more

I went to this place for an eye injury and waited over two hours only to be told to go to the ER. The "dr" I spoke with there said that he "already yelled at his team for not seeing me earlier". Now I know there is a pandemic, but I wasn't there for anything related to it. There should have been better, faster service, according to the "dr" I saw there. read more

I went to the MedExpress Urgent care in Hadley yesterday morning in a little bit of pain. My wait time was quite brief (30 minutes or so). The receptionist appeared busy but was completely attentive and appropriate as she checked me in. The nurse who took my vitals and noted my concerns could not have been better. She was thorough, sensitive and supportive. Dr. Berkson was also extremely sensitive and professional. He quickly diagnosed a skin infection and prescribed the appropriate treatment. I left feeling very grateful for their expertise. read more

Came here with flu like symptoms, they charged me my copay and told me to wait in my car until they called me in. Two hours later they finally called me and told me it would be another hour and to wait in the parking lot, and that if I left I would lose my place in line. When I told them I really couldn't wait in my running car for another hour with the flu they told me that I could either wait or go somewhere else. I decided to leave and called to ask if they would refund my copay as I literally had not set foot in the building and they said that it was automatically refunded if I didn't show up when it was my turn, but four days later I haven't gotten it back (when I called them about it they said it "takes a few days") read more

Went here because it was one of the few options in the area to do a COVID test if you are not a MA resident. The staff were all very friendly, facility was clean, and everything went very well once I was in the door. However I am leaving 2 stars because of their horrible phone registration process. You must call from the parking lot to register for an appointment, and there is no phone queue system of any kind. If their lines are busy you just get a busy signal. I showed up ten minutes before they opened at 8am to try to beat the rush, then sat there calling every 2 minutes for 45 minutes before I got through, only to be told there would be a 2 hour wait for a test. I was expecting a wait, but the inefficient system was really frustrating - they should offer appointments or at the very least put you on hold and take calls in the order they are received. It is such a sad thing to give a bad review when the actual service was amazing. I just want to give credit to Francis (she did our initial questions before we came in and was amazing with my son!) and Dr. Mayumi who was AMAZING with a screaming toddler! It's horrible that the front desk staff completely ruins all that they do. When I called from the parking lot to put us in the queue the person was SO extremely rude. If it weren't for my child being absolutely miserable that right there would have made me leave and find somewhere else to be seen. The entire 3 minute phone call she sounded like she couldn't wait to get off the phone, had an attitude when I was being nice and spelling out our address since it is a difficult spelling sometimes. Then after our visit with the doctor I walk around the the front window to get my discharge papers. I stood there for 2 minutes, she didn't not acknowledge me, let me know she was going to be with me. She just ignored me. She got my papers, slid them to me and said "his prescriptions at CVS." Not once was I asked what pharmacy could they send it to. When I said which CVS she looked at me like I had 10 heads and with an absolutely horrific attitude said university and rolled her eyes. I do not live around the area so had no idea. It was so inconvenient to have to wait 30 minutes while they filled my sons prescription instead of having it sent to the one next to our house which would have been ready from our drive home. We will NEVER be coming back here solely based on the experience with the front desk. I hope you can get your situation rectified as it seems from other reviews this is a constant problem. read more

I just took my boyfriend here for some cold symptoms that were concerning him. The place is spotless and welcoming, there was absolutely no wait, the intake person was competent and kind. The two nurses who took his vitals were incredibly efficient and worked so well as a team. It was like clockwork - I was amazed. We waited about 6 minutes for a doctor, and when she came in she was kind and so helpful. She clearly knew exactly what she was doing, and prescribed my boyfriend the exact medication he needed after a quick but thorough exam. She answered all his questions succinctly and we were in and out in less than half an hour. I am blown away! read more

They are fast, professional, courteous, and excellent caregivers with clear instructions, providers who take the time to answer questions thoroughly and competently. Waited in the parking lot for 4 hours just to get 2 COVID tests that took a combined 15 minutes. My two roommates and I were all exposed and very concerned but still after several hours we were not all able to get tests. They claim to be a walk in service but make you call in, and are so understaffed that we spent most of the time on hold. When the one person working the phones finally picked up, she was extremely rude and impatient. She was cutting us off mid sentence and putting us back on hold. I do not understand why they try to uphold the claim that they have walk ins when they clearly do not have the staff to support the claim. They should have appointments instead of making people wait in the parking lot for hours. Nurse have my roommate an inaccurate temperature reading and gave him attitude when he asked to have his temperature taken again. Turned out he was right and had a fever after all. This visit took only less that 3 minutes and I still keep getting calls telling me I should pay $120 for it. I'm sorry guys but you are stealers. I'm not going to pay you for the service I never got . You have no medical concience , you are officially stealing. I told you my problem right at the door and you could tell me that you cannot help me right then, I even called before I come in and clearly described my problem and I asked if you can help me , you totally encouraged me to go there , but you let me get in and told me that this clinic is not right for my issue at the end , so you can make money out of me. You not only wasted my time , but also have been very sneaky so you can steal from a poor student who has been miserable with no help and all you did was not help , but tricking me to make money out of me. Literally some of the worst "urgent care" that I have experienced. Took me two days to get a Covid test. When I called initially they told me my insurance requires a referral from a doctor even though the website misleads and says that there are no referrals required. So next day my primary care office sent over a referral and I went over after work to get the covid test... After numerous encounters with rude impatient people over the phone who either put me on long holds, rushed me or didn't take the time to explain helpful information to help me get tested, I finally ended up with a PA who was no different. I complained of an inflamed throat and immediately the PA says "must be all that smoking you're doing," simply because they smelled pot when they walked in the room I had been waiting in. I responded "I'm not doing 'all that smoking'..." I also informed them that I am an electrician who just got off work from doing LIGHTING at a POT FARM, thats why the smell was on my clothes! The PA did not even have the decency to apologize. At the very least I got a quick covid test and got out of there. But I would never come back here for this "treatment" nor for the arrogance and rudeness. You'd think folks in healthcare would be praising and thanking a working man who was protecting his community and coworkers by going through all these hoops to get tested for covid and making sure he wasn't putting people in harms way. People are very vulnerable when they are sick and need healthcare, you all should do a better job of being polite, kind and patient when the people you serve walk through your doors. I understand that everyone you deal with isn't peachy but your crappy patients shouldn't set the precedent for how you treat the next people who just want to feel better and know what's going on with their health. read more

If it would lEt me post with one star I would I went here on Monday of this week and it was busy that I don't mind what I didn't enjoy was being called I in finally after and he wait to get my "vitals" witch was me saying my weight and height and my lasso temp and them dooming a blood pressure then placing me in a small room that I was left in for another 30. -45 mins which I think would have been longer if I didn't feel claustrophobic because I've been in this room with flu symptoms so I open the door to where nurses or doctors whatever they are because they all wear the same suits we're dancing to music than 10 minutes after I open the door someone walked by like in shock of their someone in this room I had to call when they came into the room asked me to sit on the table checked my breathing this into my car said you do not have this Lil you would know your whole body is aching you don't look like you have the flu you just have a little virus I'm gonna give you something for the cough and just take Tylenol I said are you sure I have a eight month Old at home and I need to make sure that I don't have the flu you would now mind you Ashley proceeds to explain what flu like symptoms are I'm saying that's everything I have but you don't look like you have the flu people have the flu look like they have the flu you'll be fine two days later my son gets sick we both go to the ER and we're both told we have the flu so thank you to you guys for the misdiagnosis will never go here again do not waste your time Doctors are unreal their patients are in the room sick and they're out in the hallway dancing while there's a patient waiting in a room for 40 minutes ridiculous unprofessional I'd rather pay the thousand dollar ER bill then to pay a $50 co-pay for urgent care here because that is ridiculous read more

I was seen quickly and given excellent care that day as well as after. The doctor and nurse followed up by phone. I will definitely use them should another emergency arise. read more
