Dr. Evans is brilliant. I don't know much about dental health, to be honest. I went to another dentist here in Tampa who told me I had "Periodontal disease" (but didn't explain what that meant) and started pushing a bunch of expensive treatments on me. I was referred to Dr. Evans by another dentist, and he was absolutely wonderful. He can explain it to you in as much or as little detail as you want.
Dr. Evans explained everything to me, from the actual disease through to the surgery and recovery and what it all meant.
I did read another review about him here on Yelp that gave me pause, but I actually found him really comforting and reassuring. He makes some jokes that are pretty bad (he Dad Jokes at a very high level -- one I can only aspire to), but he knows that they're bad and it helped put me at ease. He was very calm and smiled a lot. That sounds stupid to put in a review, but having someone who's about to perform surgery smile at you really does help.
His follow up is excellent as well, from the packet you get to the ability to call him personally any time with issues or questions.
The office was clean and bright and convenient.
If you're at all nervous or concerned or really want to understand what's going on, Dr. Evans is definitely the professional you want to go see.
Thank you all! Frankly, it's really terrifying to be told you have a disease -- but you all made it feel a little less so.

p.s. he's also a giant nerd, so if you feel like talking about science fiction or actual science he has some really cool things to say. We had a good chat about the new Star Wars movies. Again, sounds like a small thing -- but it helped me feel a lot more comfortable. He figured out something to talk to me about that we could connect on and really put me at ease. read more
