Now who in their right mind, what Marketing pip squeak thought this would be the perfect name for a bingo hall? Well actually I guess they do live up to their name. being huge and brightly light they are like a mecca, a focal pulling point of primary colours that draw you in on a dull evening. In most big towns you can be on a bus or a train and you are likely to see the shiny lights of a Mecca Bingo. So as it does live up to the name in the sense of attracting a group of people to do a similar activity...but still Mecca?

Bingo is proper fast paced fun - and the bar/cafe are pretty cheap! You can get electronic boards…read morenow that you just have to tap the screen of & it automatically marks all your numbers & tells you what you're waiting for - some say that takes the fun out of it, I say it allows you to relax & enjoy the cheap drinks! It's not a very sociable activity however, even if everyone in your group is using the electronic boards you can't talk while the numbers are being called or you'll get heckled by everyone else that's there!

We all went on a main bingo night it cost £14 for about 15 games which I felt was good value. Free membership & included in the £14 you could have a screen or paper option. I thought I would give the screen ago. Well as we all walked in they had already started. We sat down in panic mode and the bingo helper came over & showed us what to do! Brilliant! I think I missed some numbers while he was showing me ha ha! Top house was £400 we didn't win but being closing with one number my heart was racing more than once! I saw many of our team members sweating at one point ha ha! The bingo hall had a bar & food court. During the breaks of the main games they had smaller games which you could win Easter eggs very exciting!!! Overall good experience! Good customer service & I enjoyed the bingo

Staff there are nice, there's plently of space upstairs and downstairs to sit and it's always clean inside. They serve really cheap food and drinks, the food is ok, nothing amazing but nice enough and really cheap. They normally do about 20 games on an evening and have breaks every few so people can get a drink or go to the toilet. Absolutely love going there, it's not too expensive either and you can win a lot, me and my friends have won something a few times.

The Brudenell is a small, intimate venue that has played host to some of the city, county and country's greatest bands. It was where Leeds favourites The Cribs chose to host Cribsmas, a special three-gig event where they played each of their albums in full with b-sides forming the encore. The support acts - Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand and Kate Nash - sum up the attraction and character that the Headingley venue boasts. A number of bands - including the Kaisers - have lent their support to the Brudenell, which very nearly closed a few years ago. Thankfully it didn't and it remains one of the most charismatic concert halls that Leeds has to offer, hosting breaking acts including the likes of Girls (go listen) and Johnny Flynn (same again) in the next couple of months. What's more, despite being sold out, it wasn't over-crowded, the bar staff were efficient and prices were reasonable. Plus there is another bar so you can get away from the loud music if you want to. There's also a cab firm close by so it's not too hard to get home. Highly recommended! Updated Just to add a few further words of praise. This venue consistently stands out as the best I know of in the UK. As other reviewers have said all the people who work here are really friendly and are a lot of fun. I've never seen any trouble inside and it made me realise that I've never seen a bouncer in there either although I'm sure they know how to cope if things do get heated. At the end of the headline band's set there is no hassle to leave like so many paces (O2 Academy, Cockpit). If you fancy another drink they are relaxed and that's cool. What a refreshing attitude. I've seen so many bands here and it's easily my favourite venue anywhere - so many great memories! The thing that says it all is that if I am hesitant about seeing a band but then discover they are playing at the Brudenell my mind is immediately made up and I go. Wish it was within walking distance of my house!

My partner shouted loud enough that elderly people 40 foot away could hear him, yet the bingo caller - Shaun I believe, continued to call after everyone in the room had noticed he had shouted. We felt personally victimised by this member of staff and won't be returning again. No where do I expect to be treat in such a disgusting way, especially not in a bingo hall. Gala bingo here we come!
