I just wish the Patatas bravas came with the rich tomato sauce as, this one did not and it was a bit dry. The rest was great. Food arrived quickly and we were seated in the cellar which was very nice and beautiful. It's a gorgeous old building and cozy and warm restaurant. The service was excellent and they were super friendly and let us hang around for ages after the place was closed. Would happily come here again anytime. We were offered to taste a wide selection of wines prior to ordering our food and the selection was both original and interesting with a wide variety of styles and types. We ordered the "Tapas Platte" for four which was served within 10 minutes or so, with cold starters including different meats and hams, fine cheese as well as green and black olives, fine bread with dip and freshly cut greens. After finishing the cold tapas we were served the hot tapas, all in their own little bowls and most of them coming with their own appropriate sauces and dips. Every single selection of tapas tasted amazing, fresh out of the oven. Full flavored, beautiful textures, cooked perfectly to the spot and all fresh ingredients. Bread was refilled promptly and we were cared for by the staff exceptionally well. One can feel the love and dedication the owners put into all aspects of this restaurant and I feel lucky to have found this true gem, especially considering that Linz is a bit of a tourist trap. The highlights were the ham (duh), vegetable gratin, prosciutto and cheese dates, and well pretty much anything with cheese in it. The manchengo- yum, the honeyed Brie like cheese with walnuts - awesome and some kind of bonus feta says that was really tasty. And before all that, some delicious bread and rich garlic sauce. The best part of this is that everything is served "tapas" style, small sample size dishes, so you can try it all... and I did. There is interior seating but we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful day. The lentil soup was delicious and the cod with spinach was cooked to perfection. The tortilla was a little different than the ones we enjoyed in Spain but still very good. Spanish tapas in Germany are a nice break from the traditional German fare.

First off two of their wait staff spoke English and were very attentive and friendly. We started to order too much, not knowing that German small plates are still enough to feed a family of six as opposed to US small plates which can be bird food, but the waiter stopped us and suggested we wait to see if we wanted more. After dates and bacon, calamari, torta, and salad, we were stuffed! All was perfectly prepared, and the bill was very reasonable. Despite the fact that tipping rules here are quite different, we were happy to tip our very friendly and attentive servers what we would tip in the U.S. for a great meal. Can't wait to go back!

It's very tastefully decorated, super clean, and the food is amazing. I ate there twice on my trip and both salads I had were full of flavor and very filling. I even got to meet the owners, who were total sweethearts, and very pleasant to chat with. They definitely deserve your patronage! I'll be hitting this place up on my next visit in a month or two.
