An expansive selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages were available to enjoy. We ordered two pizzas and a single drink. My pizza included finely shaven pepperoni, mushrooms, and Roquefort (regional touch). They were served quickly and were fresh from the oven. Still water was available in a small pitcher kept on the table, so we were never left waiting for a refill. The bathroom was clean and had unexpected entertainment available (see photo). It did appear that they close around 2:00 pm for a midday break, so come earlier if you would like lunch. Merci!

Short & Varied Menu--Gargantuan Flavors…read more My wife and I lunched today at Le Peyrolieres & Company at 10 Rue Peyrolieres in Toulouse, France. The restaurant is quite small, with seating for 24 or so. It is a narrow restaurant with sturdy iron and wood tables on each side of a central aisle way, with cushioned seating on the wall sides and chairs on the aisle side. We were greeted in a very friendly manner--even though it was obvious that we were not French. The waiter was patient, explained the foods on the menu--3 or 4 each of entrees, main courses and desserts. We ordered the house red wine, quite pleasant. My wife's starter was potato soup and mine was sea-snails; our mains were sea-bream and beefsteak tartare; and desert was a flan for each of us. The snails were served with a homemade mayonnaise with garlic and other spices: simply outstanding. We were both smitten with the ambience--which certainly could not be called extensive--but most especially the fact that the emphasis in this restaurant was on high-quality food. Our meal was simply outstanding.

We finally ate there tonight and were pleasantly surprised and delighted at the meals that we ordered. The menu is varied and fresh. The staff friendly, patient and helpful. There are only 9 tables which makes it cozy and intimate with a view of the greenbelt and nice large windows inside. MAKE RESERVATIONS as the tables were all full on a Tuesday night. I cannot express just how delighted we were with our meals. Definitely a delicious surprise!

Service was excellent and the ambiance is comfortable and cute. I went with one other person and we split bread with aioli, the mussels, the garlic mushrooms, the empanadillas, and a chocolate dessert. This was an excellent amount of food, and fun to pair with a pitcher of sangria. Everything was delicious, and came out freshly made plate by plate. The bread with aioli is a must, so you can use the extra bread to mop up more yummy sauce later. I would come back again anytime I'm in the area, especially at these prices and portion sizes!

Service was top notch. Once we arrived, my husband wanted to take the food to go because he severely dislikes outdoor seating :). The owner came out and opened the inside seating area for us to use. We were warmly greeted and welcomed. Our orders were taken. Our food came out in under 15 minutes. I had the vegetarian Bao with aubergine and shiitake with salad as my side of choice. I also ordered the vegetable gyozas and the frites with salt and pepper. The frites were sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. I thoroughly enjoyed my dishes. The vegetarian Bao was well balanced. The aubergine (eggplant) was light and flaky. It wasn't greasy. My husband didn't enjoy his stir fried noodles. Once I tasted it, I thought a little more salt or soy sauce for the salt content would be beneficial. I also thought maybe a little heat would be complimentary to the dish. The decor is very relaxing and warm. The tables were cleaned and well maintained.

One of the largest frustrations of being in most parts of France is finding an open restaurant after about 830-900 and we were successful here. The Thai offerings were great, nice sized portions easily served family style. The curries were excellent as were the wok items and there was even a decent amount of heat in several of the items, (the Pa Nang curry for example). The Pad Thai was great and the only thing that was lacking was a decent array of street noodles(which I could have missed). To make a long story short, the people here are delightful and their food is great plus they serve really cold tap water and don't try to force you to purchase some really mediocre Vittel for about 6 bucks a liter. This place is a real find and we walked out very satisfied. Yes, go to this place!!! Even though Toulouse is not really the best place in France to stay and vacation, this restaurant made the trip worthwhile!! At least that's one American's opinion..

Staff didn't speak any English, but we worked out what we wanted and ordered and got our food in a timely fashion. Not the first time we've run into this in Europe, but the shrimp wasn't cleaned. I guess relatively normal here, but I think most Americans would find it nasty. Even if you get past what it is, it's still gritty when you eat it and we feel that ruins the shrimp. Otherwise, there were Some interesting choices of fancied-up sushi on the menu that was pretty good. While the salmon rolls and nigiri were fine, the tuna wasn't super fresh. Nothing dangerous, but missing that bright red freshness and flavor. While the kids and I went sushi, the wife went with a Thai option - the Pad Thai. It was very, very bland. Edible, just bland. In the end, it fed us and we were satisfied; just no reason to recommend this spot. The beer selections were also ALL Asian, and that's not good beer. The wine selection was also very limited.
