These pits are built 1 at a time, old school style. Hand made by skilled craftsmen with hand tools, welders and torches. The craftsmanship, fit and finish, and detail is 2nd to none. There are no compromises or cost cutting with these pits. Everything is heavy duty, thick steel, doors shut tight, oil field quality welds. If you take care of these pits your great, great grandchildren will be cooking on it. Just keep the rust away. That's it. Gator Pit got some bad reviews in the past couple weeks from a bandwagon of forum readers that don't own a gator pit, don't know anyone that does, nor have ever even corresponded with Gator Pit.
