Our family has been attending Willow Creek North Shore since 2008…read more The North Shore campus of Willow Creek was the first church that we visited after leaving a very small church in Evanston and, because of Willow's size, we came with a lot of preconceived ideas, all of which turned out to be wrong. We were worried that we wouldn't be able to find a true community, we were worried that we wouldn't experience genuine faith and growth and we were worried that the transition would be difficult for our kids....boy were we wrong! Our years at Willow Creek have been formative for our family, for our children and for each of us individually. Although North Shore is a big church, about 2500 people attend every weekend, we found that, with some effort on our part, a church with that many attendees can actually have an intimate feel. Through our participation in community table groups (groups that meet monthly to have dinner, hang out and build relationships), small groups, church wide events and service projects we have built deep meaningful relationships with people in the community. During the normal ups and downs of life these are the people that have shown up for us and become like family. The church has also proven to be truly invested in people having a genuine, deep, transformational faith. The weekly teaching, which is often shown on a big screen and takes some getting used to, is pertinent on both global and personal levels. Rarely do I walk away feeling unaffected or unchanged by what I've heard and experienced. Classes are frequently offered to help us grow in areas ranging from marriage and family to faith and finances. The church also encourages serving locally and globally. At any given time there are serving opportunities as close as Evanston and as far as South Africa. This church and it's members are accepting of all people whether you consider yourself a Christian or not and it is really refreshing. Our families love to visit with us and even if they don't share the same faith that we do they always walk away feeling loved and accepted. One of the most vibrant parts of Willow Creek North Shore is it's student ministries. Our Kindergartener LOVES coming to church every week and she wouldn't miss it for the world. The really amazing thing is that our teenager feels EXACTLY the same way. The strong sense of community, acceptance and belonging that the kids have at Willow has proven to be a great source of strength and growth for them as they navigate all that comes with growing up. If you are looking for a church with deep community, excellent teaching and programs and an A+ children and student's program, give Willow Creek North Shore a try.

The church's involvement in the community, especially for a newer church, I believe goes above and beyond the norm. Speaking of the norm, this church does not have the traditional approach from most churches ( suits, sit and listen quiet manner, very structure), and this is what set this church apart. Instead of feeling like you need to fit in to the church this church accepts you as you are and welcomes you with open arms. I really appreciated the openness of friendship and togetherness that this church has to offer. If you are looking for a church I highly recommend checking out Quest.

Quest Church is a growing group of neighborly people, led by Pastor Ed Taylor, who humbly calls himself the "Lead Quester". It's easy to feel at home at Quest, where we accept each other as we are, but we are dedicated to help each other grow in lives of love and service of God and people, and becoming "better" followers of Jesus. On a practical note, Quest's main Sunday gathering is at 3:30 in the afternoon. Yes, that's a little unusual, but for those who work on Sunday morning, or have to get kids to soccer games, or have other commitments that prevent you from going to church at the "traditional" hours, Quest might be just the thing.

Loves God by the preaching of his word and living life in obedience according to God's revealed word and 2.Loves people by keeping each other accountable through discipleship in God's truth and with their actions towards one another. It was a place for my husband and I to grow and heal. You will hear God's truth revealed through scripture by expository preaching (going verse by verse of a chapter or section of a chapter in the bible.) You will NOT hear prosperity gospel, CRT, pro-choice, pro-LGBTQ+ lifestyles, or any other heretical things taught as "truth" because all those things are in opposition with God's order. These people know God, trust him, which leads them to obey him. They are NOT and will never be silent witnesses, BUT will fight and stand on the firm foundation of Christ for the sake that people may turn to God and repent to be reconciled with God through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and have a personal relationship with him. We love this church!
