Let me start by saying that before I started my orthodontic treatment with Dr. McReath, I visited 5 different orthodontists in the Madison area, where I live. After meeting Dr. McReath and his team at my first visit, I knew I was at the right place and well worth the drive to the Sauk Prairie office for my appointments. Both Dr. McReath, the front office staff, and the ortho assistants are ALWAYS pleasant and helpful. Dr. McReath takes the time to explain the treatment plan and allows you to be a part of the plan. Let me add, that I am a very picky individual when it comes to my teeth. This is my second go-round with ortho after having braces as a child, and I am not the easiest patient to please. Dr. McReath has been patient with me and has listened to me explain how I wanted my teeth to look and discuss what was doable and what was not. He then worked with me to develop a plan to move towards that goal and to adjust the plan accordingly as we went along when it was needed. When my daughter was home from Sweden over the holiday and I wanted to see where I could get her a retainer made in only 2 days time, Dr. McReath's office scheduled us in the SAME DAY, and created a retainer for her. While we were there, they gave us recommendations of where we could eat lunch and shop in the area as well! These people are amazing. The location I frequented on Gammon had a comfortable and welcoming lobby area along with pleasant treatment rooms. I never once had a bad experience with the staff. They were all kind hearted people. I had Dr. Knutson specifically and he was amazing! He listened to any and all of my concerns. He thoroughly explained not only what he was doing for treatment but why. (Which I strongly appreciated.) Overall it is an amazing treatment center with staff who go above and beyond. All of the staff are friendly; from the front desk, to the hygienists to the dentists themselves. My family comes here for regular and deep cleanings, xrays, fillings, crowns etc. I've been able to get scheduled to be seen quickly when I've broken a tooth or have sudden pain. They do well and are patient with kids! I love that when they're scheduling further out, they are very loyal to calling patients on the waiting list for an earlier appointment. Dental Associates has a very pretty and clean interior with two floors. The lower rooms look over a woodsy area and it's peaceful to watch the birds and deer at the feeders during your appointment. The only real con is that there isn't a connected parking lot or street parking ; it's a lot across the street. Not a big deal, it's all I can think of. So far they've handled insurance and billing pretty well. I highly recommend this dental office, they truly care about their patients. (There is also an orthodontist downstairs -Dr. Paschen- who my husband and BILs went to as kids and he's supposed to be pretty awesome so I'd check him out too!)

They were able to take me in the same day which was amazing. I informed them that it was causing me to have a headache and make my eye twitch. During my appointment, we were able to narrow down which tooth it was that was bothering me. My dentist was able to figure out my problem in two minutes by looking at my x-ray and saying my filling is off which is causing my pain. Amazing work. As many may know, tooth pain is no joke!

The main reason I keep coming back is because of Wendy, the office manager. She's an absolute rock star when it comes to customer service. I used to go to the Middleton location, but when I needed to reschedule, the staff there (and even at Verona) weren't willing to check availability across other offices. When I called Regent Street, Wendy went above and beyond. Not only did she check her location's schedule, but she offered to look into openings at other First Choice offices to make sure both my wife and I could get in for cleanings. That kind of effort really stood out. Since then, I've had great experiences here. The dental hygienist Will is friendly and professional, and Dr. White is attentive when reviewing my teeth and X-rays. Parking is also easy--there's a small lot, but I've never had trouble finding a spot. So I really thought that after teenage braces, I'd never see an orthodontist again. But when I…read morecomplained to my dentist of a small gap that was catching food, they referred me to Sawyer Creek, so off I went (no, nice lady on the phone, it's not for my kids -- it's for me). My dentist even transferred my records. I guess there's good money in orthodontia, because their office is amazing! I got the grand tour, which was pretty impressive, but what I most appreciated was that they have separate treatment areas for kids and adults. So no hanging out with the teenagers for me! After looking at the affected spot and examining my retainers, Dr. Schuster suggested a super simple solution. She just trimmed off the end of my retainer and said that, given time, the tooth would likely move forward by itself. Two months later, we confirmed that it did exactly that, and since my retainers are in reasonable condition (they kindly cleaned them up for me and suggested some ways to keep them that way), she said we can just leave everything as is. So, I'm not getting food stuck anymore, and I didn't spent a dime. And they were super nice and helpful on top of that. While my experience is obviously a little out of the ordinary, from the way they treated me, I would absolutely recommend Sawyer Creek for all your orthodontia needs. If you have to get braces, this is the place to do it!

The consultation was just wonderful. The process was explained to me in full and I left feeling completely confident in this team. I knew I made the correct choice at the very first appointment. My child did not like the impressions being taken. The assistants were so wonderful talking her through it, holding her hand, counting down. Anything and everything to make her more comfortable.
