I met Kevin in 2015 as part of a volunteer workgroup with the Detroit Climate Action Collaborative and we've worked together on a number of things since, involving USGBC and LEED stuff, and other energy-related collaborations. I don't know that many people who are simultaneously as passionate or knowledgeable about building science and energy issues, but are also able to talk about them in accessible, plain language. Their professional practice has all of the technical depth and sophistication of one of the boutique enterprises in the energy space, but without the off-putting pretense or exclusivity that comes with many of them.
They do work on a variety of scales, so while it might sound a bit hackneyed to say that there is "no job too small," I appreciate that the are not limited to exclusively gigantic multifamily new construction or, say, single-family audits. read more
