Once you've decided on mediation I highly recommend Colleen. She is highly professional, very knowledgable and well organized. She provided an objective, fair and calming environment while my ex and I worked thru the minutia with her. She'll take the time to explain a lot of the legalize and court processes and she also has resources that she can pull from (if needed). For example, she referred my ex to a financial planner, that my ex was very happy with. Thanks again Colleen for making a process like divorce much less difficult. read more

Colleen did a great job of keeping us focused on getting to a fair and equitable split. It was just the right blend of focus, professionalism with a personal touch. We had a lot to get through after a long term marriage and Colleen helped us navigate some challenging issues to a result that we both felt comfortable with. We would have struggled to do this without her guidance. I would highly recommend Colleen to any couple looking for someone to guide them through the difficult and challenging times of ending a marriage. read more

Subpar service, I had to have everything reviewed by another attorney because there were so many nuances not covered and the services she rendered felt rushed and questionable. She seemed unprepared for common questions and gave poor advice on tax information and I had to have my CPA review all documents and highlight where my new attorney had to review/redo. Overall, I wish we had gone elsewhere, mediocre service, at best. read more

Divorce is always a tough subject to discuss. Its never easy especially with young children involved. However, this was not the case with Colleen at McNamee Mediations. This was a referral from a colleague of mine and I couldn't be any happier with the process and the results. Colleen was able to make the experience comfortable, quick and painless for us. Both sides were represented equally and we were able to get through it in less than 2 months. Not once did we have to go to court or miss work. All the meetings were scheduled at our availability. The McNamee Mediation process was money well spent. Thanks again, Colleen. I recommend your services to anyone in California. read more

Divorce is NEVER an easy topic to approach. Using Colleen's meditation services made the entire process "manageable". Her professionalism from the initial phone call to the last signing document was a smooth (as much as you can expect) process. Her transparency and negotiating skills helped my ex and I reach a compromise which was reasonable, timely and minimal conflict. Her disposition and demeanor creates a healthy atmosphere to speak comfortably and keep the process moving forward. She understands the stressors of the divorce process and tries to minimize any unnecessary "noise/distraction". Also, she does not play games with trying to "nickel and diming" her clients. She wants to move forward and help both parties so that each party can move on with his/her life. I am humbly grateful in using her services through this difficult time. I would HIGHLY recommend her for those that seek remediation services. read more

Divorce is one of the most stressful things for people to through in their lives. When I met Colleen and sat in our first mediation appointment, I immediately felt at ease. She is extremely professional and on point with everything she does in getting us ready and through the process. Colleen explained everything so clearly, easily guided us through it all when it can be difficult to gather everything together. Very prompt almost immediate at responding/sending emails/getting us contacts we needed and even great referrals for financial planner, child therapy, CPA and more. Colleen does not favor one side. She listened very carefully to everything we both had to say and really made it so much easier for us both to settle and decide on things in a much calmer matter then I ever thought it would be. Things can get heated between your partner but I'm telling you she controls and is able to solve every situation in a stern professional but kind Way. So happy we found Colleen and she saved us so much money by us not having to go with lawyers. Also it was amazing to go through her and not have to go sit in court or do any of that stuff when a couple is under enough stress as it is! The divorce process is a lot quicker with her which we originally didn't realize so that was an added bonus to just get the stuff done and move on and not dwell on it waiting having it sitting there! Thanks again Colleen! read more

Colleen made what was already a very emotional experience far easier with her genuinely caring and attentive style. She put me at ease within the first 10 minutes at our initial meeting. She explained everything thoroughly, diligently followed up on pending items, and was always open, clear and quick to respond to any questions. Not only did she provide sound advice and suggestions, she also provided helpful referrals for other professionals who've been a wonderful help in navigating this process. I'm thankful we went the mediation route and avoided additional time, cost and tensions, and I'm especially thankful it was with Colleen. Her professionalism, warmth and accessibility made what could have been a daunting experience feel manageable. She helped us reach a fair and mutually beneficial agreement quickly and in the most positive and pleasant atmosphere possible. I highly recommend her to those considering mediation services in the Orange County area. read more

Colleen was absolutely wonderful to work with from start to finish. She was professional, well spoken, quick to respond, fair, knowledgeable and made us both feel at ease. She took the time to explain the process and answered all questions in a calm, soothing demeanor. This was 100% better then using attorney's with a expedient and efficient outcome. Before calling Colleen, we tried to do it on our own. We could not have done it without her! Thank you Colleen for making a difficult situation palatable. read more

There isn't enough I can say about Colleen! We had started our divorce process through litigation and soon realized it was emotionally draining, expensive and time-consuming. It was quickly turning an already bad situation worse. We then agreed to give mediation a chance and that's when we found Colleen. Colleen heard us both out and comforted our frustrations while remaining unbias and equally looking out for both of our interests. I was amazed at how she was able to walk such a fine line and still remain very professional, compassionate and fair. Divorce is a very trying time and having Colleen to help us navigate this process brought so much relief and reassurance. We also spent a fraction of the time and expenses compared to litigation. I would highly recommend Colleen to anyone who is going through the unfortunate process of divorce- you won't regret it!! read more

I highly recommend mediation to anyone that is considering a divorce. It works best with personalities that are honorable & reasonable. Basically, if one of you is a POS then it won't work and/or be very challenging. Individually hiring Attorneys will only have you fight out your interest (it will drive your interest unreasonably upwards, painfully emotionally, drag things out & cost a TON more) VS Mediators will help you figure things out the best possible way for both and/or your family (keeps you in check, less pain - u will still pout, but less time & reasonable costs). Two totally different experiences. We were truly able to walk away more amicable! This also reflected into our circle of friends which helped sooth that angle. I owe a huge part of that to Colleen. She combines her experiences in family law from working on both sides so you understand the process. She is very compassionate. Her sensitivity will help things move forward. You will be truly lucky if you retain her. read more

Divorce is never easy. When it comes to finances, sometimes each account and line item can cause strain in an uncoupling but Colleen made it easy to understand. She provided great insight and fairness to what both parties could agree. I was referred to McNamee Mediation by a coworker. When we spoke for the first time, Colleen assured me a quick, relatively painless (all things considered) divorce. That's exactly what we got! You are a true powerhouse & just what I needed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

We just finished our mediation process with Colleen. The process was smooth, orderly and very professional. This can be an emotional and trying time for people but Colleen handles the process with care, decency and professionalism. She keeps the process rolling while showing appropriate care and respect to her clients needs. Simply put, she is a consummate professional. I am an attorney and am well aware of the different types of attorneys and/or mediators that are out there and Colleen is the cream of the crop. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking to handle a dissolution process in a dignified, professional and cost effective manner. read more

Colleen was amazing through the entire process. Going through a divorce is never an ideal situation and not to mention costly so when we came across her services we decided going with a mediator would benefit us more than hiring two separate attorneys. She made the process easy and fast. She never made either of us feel like she was more on one side than the other. She did a fantastic job at having both our best interest during the entire process. We only had to meet a total of three times and then everything was said and done. Highly recommend using her services. read more

If you are deciding to enter mediation, I truly believe it will only work out if both you and your ex have the right mindset: that compromise IS a win. If you both have that mindset, you're already on the road to surviving a really tough time. We interviewed a number of mediators by phone and Colleen stood out specifically for her experience in the field. One other major reason for choosing mediation is so that you are able to be creative about all of the details of the resolution. Colleen was able to bring creativity and calm to a stressful process, only amplified by COVID! I'm very relieved to share that we were able to complete our process this week. Give Colleen a call. read more

As much as I wish I didn't have to write a review for these services... Colleen has been nothing short of a miracle worker. I have been going through a painful and messy divorce but I am so thankful for Colleen's understanding, kind nature and expertise to make a difficult situation at least tolerable. She is completely fair and I appreciate that she will call me out when I'm being unreasonable and can get me to look at things from another perspective while also feeling like she's on my side. I had doubts that we could come to any agreement without having to go through lawyers and an ugly court battle but she was able to do just that. I highly recommend her services - don't go anywhere else! read more

McNamee Mediations is professional, supportive and very fairly priced. Thank you for your help through this process Colleen.

My husband and I worked with Colleen on the dissolution of our 35+ year marriage. Our number one priority from the outset was to have as little resentment and negativity toward each other as possible, and to keep our relationship friendly so that we could keep our family relationships strong, and minimize the pain for each other and for our two grown children. We found Colleen to be incredibly professional and knowledgeable, and so warm and calming that it helped us to reach an agreement we could both live with. This process is never going to be easy, but no matter how upset or stressed either of us may have been, she helped us to get through it, listening carefully to both sides and making sure we both understood the legal boundaries, and that we both came away feeling we were fairly treated. When all was said and done, we were able to reach a settlement within 3 months of filing without ever setting foot in a courtroom. We reached as soft a landing as we could have hoped for, finishing the year with our whole family celebrating the holidays together. read more

I contacted Coleen post divorce with some issues I am having with my ex. She immediately referred me to an attorney in her network based on her understanding of my needs. It was reviews like this that steered me towards hiring Colleen. Divorce presents many challenges and can be a painful experience. With McNamee Mediations we got through mediation and it was actually a pleasant experience. I had no idea what to expect and when I called to get information, Colleen was very clear on the process and what to expect. At our first meeting she went over the process again so that we had clear expectations. Colleen brings a calmness to each meeting and she was very thorough each step of the way. It's important to know that a mediator does not take sides and remains neutral throughout. I didn't want the experience of hiring a lawyer to "fight" for me. My former spouse and I wanted to keep things as amicable as possible. Colleen offered pros and cons for several situations and allowed us to find a resolution. Colleen work hard to help us, and she will help you. I highly recommend McNamee Mediations. read more

My separation was a very difficult process. I was extremely hurt and upset but agreed to do mediation as Colleen came highly recommended by a couple people. The first few sessions, we did not make it easy on Colleen, but she had a way of making us both feel at ease and listened to. I had my doubts as to whether mediation would work for us...but by the 3rd appointment I was so grateful we stuck with it. Colleen is extremely knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable with the way everything was handled. If we had stuck it out with our attorneys we would most likely still be arguing over silly things and spending waaaay more money. We got all of our appointments done within 3 months and now just waiting on the judge to sign off. While we all hope people don't need to use these types of services, I cannot recommend using a mediator enough and not just any mediator...do your research and find a good one. McNamee Mediations is one of the best, if not THE best, in OC and you won't be disappointed- Colleen is amazing! read more

Divorce, for whatever reason, is a process. Filled with pain, loss, mountains of legalities, paperwork and little details that can make the experience very overwhelming. Colleen was present at each turn when challenges arose. She was patient and consistently explained things until we each felt comfortable and could move forward. Colleen is very knowledgeable, experienced, has a strong skill set, and genuinely cares about her clients. She was able to assist with matters adjunct to divorce by recommending other professionals for real estate, tax matters, etc... The level of trust, confidence and honesty I experienced went far beyond my expectation for this process. Thank you Colleen for making the divorce simple, fair, and a much more amicable experience than I ever anticipated. I whole heartedly recommend you, your team, and your services. read more

If there is such thing as a Divorce Angel, then Colleen McNamee is it. More than an attorney with so much experience in family law, I believe Colleen's life purpose is to mitigate as much pain as possible for the divorce couple. Having gone through a divorce, I am so thankful that we each didn't have our own lawyer. If you have young children like I do, you must consider mediation as your first option. Colleen will address every concerns and legal ramifications and will make sure both parties feel heard and fairly treated. She gives couples a chance for a more successful co-parenting relationship. I am writing this review on behalf of my entire family. My parents were married 48 years ( yes you read that right ), never truly faired well together but were uncertain about divorce for many many years. As my parents are getting older they decided ( at last ) to divorce and have some sort of freedom for what time that have left in life. As their son, they reached out to me to research and find someone they would both trust regarding the division of their finances, property and belongings. Well, I turned to yelp. I came across Colleen's profile... and based on her location ( yes I took consideration of Colleen's office and geography into acct and the couples she supports ), her high star rating along with the written reviews I knew Colleen was the right person! My mom is not the most savvy with finances and my dad, well he was a financial planner ( quite the opposites ). Colleen was so incredibly patient with my mom and took extra time to clearly explain each step to my mom and how the process would work, but stood her middle ground and supported my dad equally.! My mom felt so appreciative of Colleen and her assistance. My dad too felt very comfortable with Colleen's professionalism and guidance. Colleen was like a Saint! While I hate the idea of people's marriages not working out, I understand divorce is the best decision for some. If that is the situation you find yourself I would 100% recommend McNamee Mediations for your divorce and mediation purposes. She is friendly, trustworthy, patient, punctual, reliable, organized and efficient and very caring! She is truly brought a sense of peace and freedom to an unhappy marriage! Thank you Colleen! read more

Colleen is amazing. What could have been a very messy, expensive, drawn out battle was made close to pleasant by Colleen. She helped me wrap my mind around it and made me feel comfortable paying him. Highly recommended!!! read more

I highly recommend Colleen's mediation services. From the initial consultation where she detailed how the mediation process works and then continued to guide and explain in simple non-legal terms throughout the entire process, she was able to make an already difficult situation much easier. Colleen was professional and kind during this difficult time in my life. Mediation is definitely the way to go if you want to get through this process quickly and without the costs of 2 lawyers. Coming out of a marriage of 25 years I found myself facing a very large bi-monthly paycheck to my X in the way of Spousal Support until she died or got remarried. Two years out I'm now done with SS forever due to the X cohabitating with her boyfriend. I took her back to court and we settled on a large sum of money settlement before the judge ruled. This was also expensive since I had to hire an attorney. Cohabitation is a judge by judge ruling in the state of CA, there are few guidelines or rulings on the books for case study. With all that said, my advice to any man facing mediation ... Absolutely make sure your MSA states that if your X starts to cohabitate (live with a new boyfriend / pretend roommate / etc) that your Spousal Support ends immediately and completely forever moving forward. Knowing what I now know and how much money had to be spent to end my SS obligation I would never sign an MSA that did not include clear and straight forward language about what I mentioned above. Spousal Support will kill you both financially and emotionally as you witness your hard-earned money being lavishly squandered by your X. I hope this helps any man reading this avoid the difficult and expensive road I just traveled. May God bless you as you navigate this timeline we call "life". read more
