Stumbled on this butchers after taking our pet to the grooming place at South Hetton and needed to use up an hour!! Once inside the shop we both felt as though we were children in a sweet shop.. Very friendly staff and choice of food fantastic all products we bought so far have been gorgeous and it will now become our butchers of choice even though it's 30 mile trip.. Well worth the trip .. Had my first experience of this butchers from a recommendation of my daughter. With Christmas approaching and a big family lunch to organise, the quality of turkey and other meat is so important. The staff member who served me went the extra mile in demonstrating portion size to weight ratio, obviously to have a little left over for all those important turkey sandwiches. He also showed me the beef and gammon and again size and portions. Can't wait for collection day. Whilst there I noticed that the shop was pristine in cleanliness staff were appropriately dressed for the job and the counters were beautifully set out. I must say this is a shop where the quality is obvious and fantastic value for money. I have very rarely seen a butchers like this in a small market town. Although the shop was extremely busy and due to the complexity of my order I still received personal customer service. My daughter and granddaughter were with me and the youngest really appreciated the lolly she was given for her patience. From a full range of meats and related products to home made ready meals, pastries, cakes and scones you couldn't go wrong paying this shop a visit. I feel that my Christmas lunch and New Year's Day meals will impress my family. read more
