Now, I am not an expert on art by any means but I do enjoy it. This store is wall to wall pictures, paintings and sculptures by famous artists like Thomas Kinkade and Robert Brateman. They have amazing pieces that are just visually pleasing but can also be appreciated at a deeper context. The store is very expensive and regularly holds sales. This is the kind of art that people who can truly appreciate it will lay down big bucks for. I wouldn't mind a piece or 2 in my house either. Even if you know that you aren't going to buy anything from this store it is definitely worth going in and looking around. Looking at the different pieces of art is really worth it. I would recommend this store to everyone.

The gallery is a small place but has some really neat, interesting art pieces that I believe are from local artists...? Anyways it was neat to do yoga here and thankfully wasn't too full or it would have been difficult with trying not to accidentally kick a paint frame off the wall... The yoga class was a great hips-focused workout taught by Christina, who also teaches out of Moksha Yoga. I just say it's more laid-back. They feature paintings, drawings, and mixed media art here. You can also purchase art cards as something smaller if you want. Prices here are generally less than you would see at the West End Gallery, but I didn't really like the art they were featuring at the moment. My overall impression of this gallery was dashed away as soon as I stepped through the door and smelled cigarette smoke. Honestly, I think it's one of the worst smells ever. Sorry if that sounds pretentious. Apparently the art dealer was smoking in the back, and hurried out to the front to assure me she was in the shop, then went back. I couldn't hold my breath for too long, and wasn't enjoying the gallery anyway, so I left soon after that. I don't think I'll be going back.

And if you're into bitters, they have a small selection. This place is truly a unique spot if you're looking for the perfect gift, for man or woman! I highly suggest checking it out. Inside is a lovely little gallery which features the arts and crafts of the Alberta Francophone community. It often features one or two painters at a time and a few potters and weavers. What sets this gallery apart is the range of prices. There are small matted water colours for under $100 and paintings that range up to the thousands. And aside from the featured artists, tucked in behind the peg board walls are several layers of paintings of all sizes, subject matters and prices. I love going in and spending an hour or two looking at all the pieces tucked away. I have bought several paintings from this gallery and each one is so different because of the range of artists they represent.

I have a annual pass to this place to watch movies and enter exhibits. It's totally worthwhile because If you go during the weekdays you almost have the place to yourself or just before closing too. I like the space exhibit which actually has a peice of the moon on display. But there are tons of interactive games and puzzles that most adults play too (some are still challenging for me for the first time). There is a cool body exhibits to explore which is cool if it's your first time there to see how your body works and how healthy you are. There's also a giant play are in 2 parts of the center. One one main floor and second floor. So the kids have plenty of place sto burn off their excess energy. I could stare at the ball thing thatis ancient for hours bc that's what I used to do as child mesmerized by the journey that little ball takes. I would highly recommend watching the imax movies here because usually the only last 2 rows are sold out so there's alot of space in between people. Staff are friendly and there's alot of areas to just eat if you pack your own lunch. Annual members get a 10% discount which is really nice too! I personally think the roving exhibits are a perfect date night since there's alot to do or talk about. And situated in west downtown there's alot of good places to eat nearby. I think edmontons telus center is better than the over busy and crowded ones in vancouver or calgary. With alot more to do. I think edmontonians take this place for granted.
