It seemed like they threw everything together last minute. There was no obituary on their website people were telling me they couldn't find any information. I live in California and I told them I would pick up the death certificates when I arrived and not to give them to anyone else. They were very good reasons for that. There was a man who went there five times trying to get my mother's death certificates and was handed over to him. Just caused a huge problem! He was able to get into my mother's bank account and now his daughter has cleaned out my mother's accounts. These people have no relation and now I'm going through living hell since my mother's passing trying to recover things that were stolen. We also had my father's service here back in 2000 there were no problems with his. I think this place is really going downhill over the years.

We asked for her to help with all the decisions we had to now make. She spent way more time with us to make these decisions but never looked hurried. She was amazing, answered all our questions, took her time with us, helping us with all the planning and always with care and support. We were so happy we chose her to help us. Dustin was also very kind and caring. Metcalf has truly very caring ppl.

All the staff here was amazing and when my mom and I attended a viewing for my dad on 7/29/2022, he looked amazing. This is my second experience with this establishment. My recommendation to my family came after I…read moresaw how well they handled my neighbor's proceedings. While his was a military funeral, ours was a direct cremation. Serenity handles their own cremations. Many crematoriums have had bad publicity of late. It was essential to be in control of the ashes/remains as soon as possible. Throughout the process from pickup (Friday) to cremation (Tuesday) to return of ashes (Wednesday) compassion, respect, and caring are extended to the family and loved one. Serenity offers immediate assistance in the most professional manner. The directors are there to assist through every stage of laying the beloved to rest, to offering support for those grieving. While it is best to have final wishes preplanned, it is never too late to have the discussion. I have dealt with funeral homes that use the grief of families to their own advantage, I have also had the chance to preplan arrangements without emotion with the most reputable funeral homes. With short notice, without pressure Serenity offered my family a most dignified ending for our beloved.

If I could leave zero stars, that would be my preference. My father passed away here in St George…read moreand was being buried in PA (where I had prepaid his funeral). The funeral home in PA contacted Pine View (I had suggested them as I see their ads all the time) when I notified them of my fathers passing at the hospital on a Tuesday afternoon. Brian came for the body, then was responsible for contacting Eagle Wings to arrange transport. They had no pull with any cargo to get his body sent quickly (our religion requires quick burial as we do not embalm) and he could not get his body to arrive in Pittsburgh before Thursday morning. It wasn't ideal, but I had no choice. Pine View charged me $2,470.29 - which doesn't even include the airfare. Their "professional service" for just picking him up and making calls and submitting the death cert info was $1,495.00 of that $2,470.29. Then they missed the plane because they were not aware of what time the body needed to be at the airport! I found out from them at midnight Wednesday (early Thursday) and he actually said they'd get my dad out by Monday!!!!! Thankfully (after a legitimate nervous breakdown that I had) the funeral home in PA was able to book a new flight that got him in st 2:30 am Friday (graveside funeral was at 11am Friday). Brian gave me nothing but excuses on how it was everyone else's fault and not his. When I went there today to pick up the death certs and talk with him about the exorbitant fee that was for lousy service (to put it mildly) he said that since they had to make 2 trips to the Vegas airport he should actually be charging me more!! Absolutely unbelievable. He should have refunded at least part of their fee and apologized profusely. He did neither. When you're dealing with the grief of losing a parent (or any loved one) do NOT contact this miserable excuse of a mortuary. The aggravation is so awful I have yet to be able to actually begin grieving.
