After I voiced concerns regarding billing and the direction of my case, the firm withdrew from representing me before my divorce was finalized, leaving me to go to court alone without legal representation after I had trusted them to handle one of the most important situations of my life. Being left high and dry like that was devastating and incredibly overwhelming. What makes this even more upsetting is that despite withdrawing from my case, there is still a lien on my property for $2,364.08, and on May 22, 2026, I discovered an additional $2,500 had been withdrawn from my bank account without my authorization. After already feeling abandoned as a client, waking up to another unauthorized charge was honestly shocking and infuriating. No client going through a divorce should feel bullied, unsupported, financially pressured, or abandoned by the very person they hired to advocate for them. This is a simple matter of a no contest divorce for the sole reason of abandonment. We share no children, bank accounts, assets, nothing! Generally, Divorce by publication would be the best, most effective, and far far cheaper option. However, it is also more time consuming, and because it was sinful to even be dating he choose to hire an attorney for the sake of getting things taken care of, and finalized in a shorter time frame. Some ten months later, and not only am I still not able to reach Mr.Perry, but I also do not have a divorce certificate in hand! Had I have simply went to the local clerk of court, requested approval from the judge for divorce by publication, ran it in the local paper for the required time, I would have long had that! And it would have costed me less than $100 at the absolute most. After attempting to contact Mr.Perry via calling his office, email, or text messaging which he seems to prefer all throughout 2023.. One of the FEW times when I actually heard back from him was to say that he had located my estranged husband in Rutherford County TN and had forwarded everything to the sheriff there to have him served. There were then several months more of me trying to contact him for a case update. He apparently isn't able to reach the sheriff which for clarity, I have now done myself multiple times. Once for information, the other times for clarification since I couldn't get that from Mr.Perry. It was actually the sheriff in TN who was finally able to provide me with the information... It seems that the address they were given (footnote: this is the first address that pops up when you Google his name. NOT those people finder websites that you pay for! The free result that pops up in search results) There was one attempt made by them as per protocol, and no one answered the door. Finally getting an answer on Mr.Perry's cell phone in July he explained that the only choice left... you guessed it!!! ... Divorce by publication. I was at a loss of words! He had sent what was needed to the clerk of court where I live, and taken care of posting it in our local news paper. TEN MONTHS AFTER PAYING THIS MAN $3,000 AND HE HAS YET TO LIFT A FINGER TO DO A SINGLE THING!!! Please folks, if your time, or your money are not a concern for you, I can assure you that your sanity is!!! I do not suffer from any mental health issues.
