Has one of the two ziplines open (one appears broken 8/8/26 even though park just reopened). Fun playground, but doesn't really have a robust place for littles to play (tiny whale structure with a slide), and because the pump track is so close to the playground, a lot of bikes were riding fast on the sidewalk between the playground & pump track - so it felt a bit stressful with a 18m old, but my older kids loved it! Note: pump track posted rules do NOT allow e bikes / gas powered motorcycle bikes. Bicycles, skateboards & scooters allowed. Pump track has painted arrows to show which way you are supposed to go through the course. Despite this, we witnessed an accident on the course between a young 4? Year old boy and older 12? Year old boy, who was not going in the direction of traffic/cutting over through non paved areas. Witnessed another boy using a gas powered mini motorcycle on the course, while 3 year olds are simultaneously scootering - watch your kids - this can be dangerous for younger children.

The newly established pollinator gardens, the mulching, and regular community clean-up events have made a world of difference. It's wonderful to see this and so many other Seaside parks being revitalized and restored for recreational use.

I love that they have so much nature areas that the kids can run and climb on besides the playground. They also have a basketball court, tennis court and basebAll! There is a playground for 2-5 year olds right next to a playground for 5-12 year olds. Across the grass from the playgrounds, there is a baseball field, with a basketball court next to it. On the other side from the playground are some very quiet tennis courts. Plus there are bathrooms, benches, and a fairly large picnic area up above. Also, there's walking paths around it and a canyon behind it. We took my dog today and did not see any No Dog signs, except understandably, on the baseball field and in the tennis courts. You should definitely keep them on a leash though because there are squirrels and other wildlife (deer, birds) in the park. Plus the park is surrounded by streets.

This is a county park. It's very large with lots of trails going up and down Mountains. Some of the…read moretrails are easy while a few are more difficult. I walked the difficult trails with just my sneekers. I think hiking boots would have been the best choice. You will also find bike trails. The bike trails do not have jumps but lots of inclines. Some of the biggest eucalyptus trees I've ever seen reside in this park. The park has two play Grounds for kids to play in, Open Fields for soccer and baseball. Lots of benches Pavilions and barbecue grills. Even have a really large Barbecue Pit that you can use. Public bathrooms were pretty decent. It's really hard to complain about this park it cost $10 to get into it. I spent 5 hours walking all the trails so no complaints from me. Although it did take 5,000 steps up the mountain somehow 4000 down the mountain. Dogs are openly welcomed at this park. They are everywhere. I had a great time meeting dogs vs people. "Hi can I pet your dog? Cool, thanks." Iv made more friend with dog's then people. But I think that's because dogs understand a lone Wanderer isn't always lost.

Beta Park is a small park in Seaside with two sets of jungle gyms and two swingsets. One set each…read moreis for little kids (toddlers), and the other is for elementary school-aged kids. The ground cover under the playsets is wood chips (yay!); there is also a grassy area east/uphill of the woodchipped area. The play equipment was installed in 2008, and there are several park benches, too, but no picnic tables or barbecue grills. There are also no restrooms and no running water. The grassy area is on a slope, so is not useful for ball games. Due to its location, this park is always windy and a little chilly; bring hats and jackets. On the plus side, you get a nice view of the bay, and even the fog over Marina. This is a nice little neighborhood park for those who live in the neighborhood; it is NOT worth going out of your way for. Unfortunately, many of the park users are slobs: there is always litter in the wood chips, despite the presence of several garbage cans. Some of the (after hours?) users leave cigarette butts and broken glass around. There seems to be a turf war between drug dealers and local residents; last I knew, the residents were ascendant, but I almost always see someone shady walking by when I go. Sometimes, when I take my kids, we're the only ones there. Last time I went, there were a few other families, but I heard no English spoken, except that which came from my family's mouths. Of course, it would be "bigoted" of me to correlate the condition of a park with the people who use it, so I won't. So--a fine park to walk to, but not worth a drive to.
