A view of the toddler and bigger kid play area!
    Susan D.

Doe Park is a nicely maintained park within the Ord housing community. It offers a variety of play structures for kids from toddler to elementary ages. It also has volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, picnic tables, a grill, bathroom facilities, and a dog park. Though there is not much shade, there is a half wall around the play structures that provides seating for parents or other caregivers. There is also a wall to practice your tennis on, but no tennis courts. The people who we have met here have all been very nice and it is quickly becoming our favorite park, other than Dennis the Minnis. Our dog especially likes it but we wish there were more dogs there for her to play with. The only actual issue with the park is the sharp thistle weed that is growing everywhere. If the park managers don't do something to contain that situation, it will probably take over the whole field and dog park. There is a small parking lot and street parking around the park but most people seem to walk there from their neighborhood. It is definitely the best of the military parks we have been to, so far, but we are still new to the area. See ya there!

We've been going regularly, it's become our favorite local park! Clean, lots of open space and nice park goers. Highly recommend!

I like that there's an agility course but this place was overgrown and people definitely don't pick up after their dogs.

There's a giant playground, swings, basketball court, a wall for hitting tennis balls, a small dog park, restrooms, and plenty of grassy field!

This is pretty standard at every other dog park. Why would you not have a faucet and some bowls available? 2) The park doesn't seem to be maintained at all or at least not frequently. The trash can was completely overflowing, and there was a ton of old dog poop all over the park. Weeds were growing up in several spots through the wood chips. 3) The wood chips. Wow. There's a lot of them. For the big dogs, I'm guessing it wouldn't be too hard to navigate, but smaller dogs would have difficulties wading through such a thick layer of substrate. My sheltie did not look particularly comfortable as she tried to walk through it. 4) Other reviews have commented on this as well, and I have to agree. There is definitely a creepy element to the people who are hanging out in their cars next to the park. One guy was parked right next to the entrance to the small dog section, and he stared at us the entire time we were there. It wasn't pleasant. I really wanted to like this park, the location is so great and the view of the lake is really nice. But the park feels so neglected and forgotten. It wasn't enjoyable for me or my pup.
