By far the worst experience we have had. Took our 2013 Tuscany over for warranty work and some xtra we wanted done. The washing machine had a leak. Slide outs had to have new pumps and new jacks. The day and night shade over the windshield quit working. Cameras didn't work on the passenger side and the rear camera never worked. Going down the road the refrigerator doors wouldn't stay closed. The out of pocket expenses was over 2000.00. When we went over to pick it up was when the problem began. Started it and low def light comes on. Had to go to a gas station across the street to get def. It was full when we took it over. While filling the def hydraulic fluid is running out the storage drawer under the slide. When we opened the door hydraulic fluid filled the drawer. We took it back to the dealership and war broke out. Denied ever working on the slides. It was right on the bill where they did. The Service woman had gone out and took a picture on her phone to show the tech. Claimed it was a loose valve. Very funny since it never leaked before. She kept shoving her phone out for us to see. So the bottom line I don't know if my washer leaks, the shade works and what they did to the hydraulic pumps. Was told to leave it but DO NOT CALL OR TEXT until Monday morning and they thought that was funny. I didn't see the humor. We brought our motorhome home and never Ever will I take it back to them. We have had a few repairs and maintaince work done at McKees. First was oil change. This was done timely and with courtesy 2nd repair was to replace slide seal. This took a bit longer than expected Work was ok, but the seal was not attached in some sections. I had to reattach in a couple places. Adhesive was not the best. Last trip was to replace ac, fix windshiwld wiper, and put cap back on front tire they removed previously. Ac was replaced. Cap was never replaxed. Wipers were not fixed. In fact we drove back on our way home. Technician did not know how to fix. We went into a auto store across from mckeees who showed mckee tech how to replace wiper. Lastly, we bought tow dolly from mckees. We filmed the how to with tech. He said he had only worked there a short time. He made several mistakes in showing us how to hook up tow dolly. I have video i can share with anyone who would like to see. Its on Youtube. Beware of their service. They forget what you ask them to do, fail to do the work, and staff is pretty clueless. Cant even print off an invoice sometimes. Just be very cautious. read more

We are enjoying the fifth wheel we purchased from McKee RV. Purchasing the RV went well but servicing the RV did not go as well as expected. When they were done working on the RV they placed it in an unsecured location and left all storage unlocked along with the main door unlocked. Another door was left wide open exposing it to the elements. We submitted our complaint to the service department about this. They said they would pass on our concerns to the management but as of today we have not received a reply from management. Our original complaint was sent 26 June 2024 and it was not even forwarded to their management until July 8th. It is now July 23rd with no reply. We had taken the RV in for its one year annual check up to take care of all problems with in the one year warranty. The work they did on it was very sloppy, they did not clean up after themselves leaving a lot of debris including glue on the floor and storage area. They even broke one of the closet doors while working in the closet and blamed it on rough riding instead. We had to fix the door ourselves because they were going to charge us to replace the door along with $200.00 for labor. They also did not fix everything that was wrong with the camper but they wrote it off stating it was fixed. We even had to pay $200.00 in labor for what they did. I hope other people have a better experience with the service department at McKee RV. read more

I can't speak highly enough about the parts and service department. They worked hard to expedite the parts needed to get us on road for Christmas. I've never bought rv there but when we are ready to trade it will be our first stop. 2nd time working with service department everything on our punch list is always completed to our satisfaction read more

Had a great experience with Charlie at McKee. Was looking for a specific set of features\color combos and they didn't have the exact right rig in stock or on order. They worked with the factory and secured an available new unit which was exactly what I was looking for. (A new 2019 model). Had another dealer offer me an amazing deal on a 2018. $208K for a 2018 XL 40C). But I really liked working with McKee and the 2019 was appealing. McKee setup a factory tour with Tim for me and I was able to go view the exact 2019 coach I was considering as it was finishing construction. Wanted the 2019, but of course McKee couldn't sell it to me at the same price as the closeout 2018 model from the other dealer. However, we went back and forth and they got close enough for me to feel like I got a great deal on a 2019. The closing process was great. I particularly appreciated working with the finance guy. They all have a rep for being high pressure, but McKee was great. He simply asked me "do you want to talk about extended warrantees" and I said "No". He simply said "OK" and moved on. No gloom and doom pressure about how much an uncovered repair would cost. (As it turns out I was so taken aback by his no-pressure behavior that I turned around and asked to discuss the options, because I felt I could have the conversation in a no-pressure way. Ended up buying one!) Haven't needed any service, but honestly, I'm of the mindset that RV's are like a house. Stuff happens, and if I can fix it myself I will. I only need service if something big happens. read more

My wife and I put a $12,500 deposit in January of 2022 to secure our purchase of a new Holiday Rambler Nautica 35QZ. Prior to sending our deposit we were assured (both verbally and in writing) that this amount was "fully refundable" in case the price went up prior to delivery, or if we were unable to get approved for financing at the time of delivery. We waited patiently for over 6 months, anxiously waiting for our new coach to arrive. Unfortunately and unexpectantly I was laid off from my job in early July of 2022. When I reached out to McKee to cancel our order and receive a refund on our deposit there was no response - at all. So now to add even more stress to my current situation I'm having to file claims with my bank, the Better Business Bureau, leaving reviews on Yelp, etc. Fun times. read more

My experience with the sales team, led by Brad Drahos, was less than to be desired. Communications were poor, untimely, and lacking necessary details. I had to repeatedly request information, squeeze them for details, and in the end, found them to be less than professional. My salesman, Brett Dowell, was seemingly new to the industry and offered very little in the way of support. He even failed to provide me a much needed measurement which led to a very expensive mistake when ordering a replacement pin box. Overall, had there been another dealership from whom I could have purchased my RV, I would have definetely walked away from McKee RV. Furthermore, I will steer clear of them next time I am in the market. One bright spot in my experience with McKee is with the lot attendants. They were exceptionally supportive and respectful. Perhaps the management should have them train the senior folks of the organization with regards to customer service . . . read more

I called McKee RV in June2021 to buy a Thor Windsport I talked to Brett Dowell we dickered for a while and finally agreed on a price I gave a deposit and was sent a contract for the RV. I agreed to the terms and was told they would order the RV was told to expect delivery in September.. Well in September I was told it would be October in October was told delayed again. Finally the end of January 2022 was called by Brad Drahos the sales manager and told the RV was in BUT it would be $20,000 more than we agree upon I told him I had a signed contract and his reply was if I was not happy I could get my deposit back and he would sell it to someone else for More. I sent a complaint to the Iowa Attorney General's office and am still waiting for a Response. I have read a lot of customer complaints and wonder how they are aloud to remain in Business. Very unprofessional dealership to work with. It took them over 3 months to service our motorhome. While it was at their dealership there was $458.00 worth of newly purchased items stolen from the inside of the motorhome. The Sales Manager admits that the items were taken by their employees, but says they were "only doing their job". The company refuses to fully reimburse us for the stolen items, even though we immediately told them of the loss while the motorhome was still on their premises. The Sales Manager came out of his office holding our license plates, my prescription medication, and the pictures of our Grandchildren. Everything else we had purchased was gone. The Sales Manager told me I was being "ridiculous" and that he would send us a check for $200.00. I would never do business with McKee RV again. Buyer Beware. read more

We purchased our quantum ws31 in July 2020, not the best timing I know ( pandemic and Al) .we have had some minor and not so minor issues, mostly getting used to a coach. from the start Randy and John took the extra time we needed being new to the coach world always had towable units. just came back from getting ready for summer Justice and Teresa are easy to work with and make sure to understand what you want done. We had a little problem with the generator starting this year, seems the carburetor was mucked up had to replace. The technicians whom did the work were quite good and kept the coach CLEAN, which seems a rarity, Is this the cheapest place NO but I have found they are honest and compitent Thanks do Mark, Justice, Teresa, John and Randy f. Would have a shout to the technician but did not have name. if there is a down side it would be the communications are a little lacking at times. read more

What can be written that hasn't been written before. We flew from Seattle to Des Moines, IA to purchase a 2019 Nexus Bentley Diamond on August 12, 2020 from McKee RV. The floor was damaged when we bought it but were told the coach was under warranty until September 19, 2020. Our salesman gave us a list of dealerships in our area who could do the warranty work. While on the road from Iowa to Washington, I called the dealerships on the list to find one who said they did warranty work on Nexus. It was in Spokane, 350 miles away. Nevertheless, we made an appointment and drove the coach and another vehicle so we could leave it at RNR RV in Spokane. Five days later we got a call from RNR who had been in contact with Nexus and was told that the warranty was not transferable. We then made the 700 mile trek back to Spokane to pick up the motorhome with no repairs done. We contacted Jon McKee who at the time was very understanding and said that he would have the floor fixed at his expense. Between waiting on where to take the coach per his recommendation and living in the motorhome for work, it took several months but on January 19, 2021, we dropped the coach off at Wescraft RV in Fife, Washington. We had just finished a flip house and had a place to stay until it closed February 5th. We thought we would have the coach back in time. It wasn't until February 2, 2021 that we received the estimate from Wescraft. Their estimate was nearly $27,000.00. It was then that we were told by Jon that he would fly his driver to Seattle, pick up the coach to take back to McKee RV in Iowa for repairs. It took a few more weeks for a driver to pick up our coach and by this time we had nowhere to live on the west side where my husband works so we moved into a hotel. We were notified that on the drive back to Iowa the slide topper blew off and that it would be getting replaced as well. We were thankful that things were finally being taken care of. Early March we were told the flooring we had chosen wouldn't work and were given a few options. We were clear that we wanted a waterproof floor to which none of the choices were. We proceeded to go back to Contract Market Furnishings to pick out a new floor and on March 2, 2021 our salesman sent McKee RV an invoice. We were told it would take five days for delivery. On March 13, 2021, my husband got a call from McKee RV's service manager that the flooring wasn't there yet. I called the flooring company who told me that the flooring was never ordered. My husband left Jon a text message with that information. He returned my husband's text saying that this is an oversight on their part and that the flooring had been ordered now and that Jon paid for expedited shipping (the invoice says you did not). Again, there were delays. This time the shipper was sighting inclimate weather. However, we contacted the flooring company again who called the shipper and the flooring arrived on April 7, 2021. On April 18, 2021, our motorhome finally arrived back to Washington. Mind you, we have spent 71 days in a hotel at our expense. Still, the slide topper hasn't been fixed but kept being reassured Jon would send one out for us to install. It is now mid-June and last time we talked about the slide topper Jon told us to claim it on our insurance and he would pay the deductible. First, the coach was being driven by their driver. Second, the only way for a topper to blow off is by driving faster than what is safe. Third, Jon telling us to claim it under our policy would not only raise our rates, I do believe it is insurance fraud. We have left several texts asking for him to complete his obligation to us and finally wrote Jon a letter CCing our attorney. I got a reply today stating that he did not tell us he would replace the slide topper although I have several text threads saying the opposite, including him saying to claim it on insurance and he'd pay the deductible. This certainly is not over but WAAAY back in September when they misinformed us of the warranty and Jon "wanting to make it right", he asked for a review because they weren't good. I found a camper on a private deal and the owners went to McKee to shop for a new one. Somewhere during their shopping experience McKee offered them what they understood to be a discount and would allow them to sell me my camper through mckees which would help them on their price as well as taxes but the deal for my camper would be honored. All the owners asked was that I wire payment for mine to McKee which I was happy to do since they had been so nice to me and helped me out buying my first camper. Before sending the money I verified with the sales manager Brad Drahos on three consecutive days that the price would be the same as our original deal. Once the money went through they stopped answering the phone and decided not to inform myself or the owners until 430 on a Friday that what they had actually done was buy my camper from them for 4,000 more than my original deal in order to cut me out so they could sell it either as a quick profit off of me or if I refused, which I did, they could list it for more. Which they did, it's currently listed on their website for 13,000 more than my original deal. After swindling the owners and screwing me out of my trailer the sales manager informed me that he wasn't actually involved with the deal the owners made with the dealer and peoples word wasn't as good these days. Hypocrite. As if his or McKees is worth anything either. Luckily they did send me my money back. How sweet of them. Scumbags all around. Both myself and the owners were promised multiple times they would honor our agreement. So I'm back to square one after having the perfect camper in the palm of my hand. Purchased a Travel Trailer on 10/16/21 and paid cash minus a deposit via credit card. Was stated again and again that we take care of our customers, the trailer will be ready to go camping this weekend, etc. They called and asked us to come Monday the 18th a bit earlier then we had made arrangements for, though and inconvenience we were okay with that and showed up early. Things that should have been checked were not, battery was dead as a door nail. They stated they had replaced an inverter or convertor behind the breaker box.. Great.. what they failed to do though was screw it back where it belonged. Upon reaching our home with it, went inside to find the breaker box was sitting outside its hole face down with all the wiring exposed. Travel trailer will not plug into shore power without popping my house breakers every time. That breaker box not being attached properly is a doozy and a huge overlooked item that should not have been missed. I am glad that we went in before one of our kids had. That could have been potential high voltage disaster. We also found they did not give us a key to the door. We have no way of locking it. Sound like its ready for camping right? I guess what they consider ready and mine are two different things. I had read the reviews for this place and I should have followed my instinct and went elsewhere. I wanted to make my gal happy and decided to go through dealership because there are expectations that are supposed to be met that you wouldn't get via a private sale. I was wrong. Charlie Wells did not return my gals calls today as well to address these issues. I did agree to buy as is, but they ( Brad and Charlie ) also stated that everything worked and it would be ready to go camping. I called McKee on Saturday, 8/21, regarding a super c motorhome they had advertised on RV Trader and was connected with John McKee. John answered most of my questions and said he would have a salesperson call me on Monday. Monday, 8/23, a sales representative, Jim, called me and we discussed the motor home they had for sale, which he confirmed was still available. I made what I considered a reasonable offer and all I got in reply was a deep and loud belly laugh. Jim did not comment other than he would go to management and call me back. Guess what, no call ever came back from Jim!! Having heard nothing from Jim, or anyone else at McKee, my husband called McKee on 8/31 and was connected with a sales representative, Charlie. Charlie thought someone had taken a deposit on the super c we were interested in but it showed as still available on his screen! My husband made a higher offer than I had and Charlie said he would check on the availability of the coach and take the offer to management. He would then call my husband back. Guess what, we are more than a week later and no calls from McKee!! I shouldn't be surprised, most of the reviews posted indicated a total lack of follow up from staff at McKee. At least I wasn't treated differently than other customers. I wouldn't waste my time shopping on-line with McKee!!!! read more

We had a water leak in our 2day old RV. Called several TV dealers in Des Moines IA and one mobile tech. No one could help for at least 2 to 3 weeks. The manufacture of our RV gave me the names and numbers of several more close to us. McKee IN Perry IA happened to be first on list. They did not handle our brand but said if we could get it there they would break someone loose to check. Jim in service had Jeromy break loose and work on our trailer. Two hours latter both water leaks were found and repaired. Paid the small bill and will file claim with manufacture. If you need repairs and are near Perry IA GIVE Jim Service manager a shout and tell him Wayne said to see them. They are honest and polite and do great work rates are good also. BEWARE: Our Rv has been sitting at Mckee RV since July 28,2020 for Warranty Repairs. They have been in contact with our manufacturer in regards to getting these simple repairs done. We have had to make all contact with the Mckee in regards to the status of our repairs and everytime we've spoken to them they say they are waiting to hear back from Manufacturer for authorizations...I called Mckee just before thanksgiving as we hadn't heard from them in sometime and spoke to Mark the manager of service. He was SO happy i had called because he was "just looking at our RV" and wondering what the heck is going on with it and why it has been just sitting there for months. He proceeded to apologize and admit to me that they dropped the ball on this and were extremely sorry and they would get it figured out immediately. I expressed I was concerned about what condition my RV might be in since its been sitting on their lot, I know it is starting to get cold in Iowa do I need to be concerned about winterizing it? Mark immediately said " Yes, I will get my service guys to get started on that TODAY" that we the end of that. I was not angry with them for the months on end delay...who knows when they would've gotten this handled had I not called them. Two weeks later we are receiving a bill for winterization of our RV in the amount $300.00 which was never agreed upon... I was not given a quote nor the slightest idea that this would be something we would be responsible for paying since our RV should absolutely not still be in their possession unfinished 5 months post drop off. Our RV Manufacturer has agreed to pay half of the cost, assuming responsibility for their part in the lack of communication over the past 5 months. Mckee is threatening to put a lien on our RV, refuse to release it to our transporter until we pay the other half of the winterizing cost....a cost in which was never agreed upon....as a matter of fact it was suggested by Mark in our initial conversation in a way I assumed was complementary in exchange for the extreme delay and lack of urgency in repairing our RV & communicating with our Manufacturer, which is the ONLY reason our RV in still in their possession in winter and needing to be winterized. I have spoken to both Mark (Manager of Service) and John Mckee the owner of the company...both who have been extremely rude and disrespectful towards me and going back on their apologies for dropping the ball. They have been dismissive and threatening towards me and completely unwilling to resolve, as well as threatening me an ungoldly amount for storage each day my RV is in their possession even though they are unwilling to come to a resolution with me, however they cannot provide any sort of authorization where I agreed to any winterizing being done for any cost and they refuse to provide any proof of communications back and forth with my RV Manufacturer over these past 5 months so I can make sense as to why this has taken so long. read more

Should be zero stars. On August 5, 2022, we placed a $10,800 deposit on a $216K, 2023 Dynamax Isata 5 Xplorer motorhome with McKee RV. We were told that the deposit was refundable if the RV was not acceptable to us. We are senior citizens trying to order our final motorhome to the exact specifications that we desire, and 3 things specifically make the vehicle unacceptable to us and McKee has refused to return our deposit. 1. The 2023 motorhome is being built on a 2 year old (2021) chassis. This chassis has likely been sitting in the weather for 2 years with aging fluids/oils and weathering tires. This is unacceptable...we were paying for a 2023 with nice features such as LED lights which are not on the 2021. McKee told us that this often happens on motorhomes. 2. The Dark Xplorer paint package that we ordered has now changed and instead of being a black Ram chassis, it is now gray and the external graphics are also quite different,. Mckee told us...sorry Dynamax made a change. 3. Internal furnishings included height adjustable Lagun tables on the the theatre seats. These have been eliminated and replaced with cup holder non adjustable tables. Lagun tables were important for us to use our laptops at face height for Zoom business calls. McKee told us to slant our laptops upward! McKee told us that the market has changed and that they will be sitting on this motorhome for months if we don't take it. Note: McKee already had this coach on order at Dynamax when we put down the deposit..we just changed the external color (which again is not what we ordered), and the cabinet paint color which is the latest and greatest. We can't see how McKee can keep our deposit when the coach is clearly not what we wanted and is not acceptable to us. We recently found these changes on our own through the progress photos on the Dynamax's Facebook site. We filled a BBB complaint. The Sales Manager (Brad) was extremely rude, not helpful, and dismissive.... read more

Sales experience is fine but when it comes to warranty work, that's where they are lacking. Had a list of repairs needed done it was there for over three months and hardly anything was done. Gas was stolen from our gas tank over the months, work done was not satisfaction, screw holes were found all the way through to the outside, headliner was falling down, etc. read more

I was so disappointed in the salesman after he had the contract signed. He was dishonest about the delivery price on the contract. Business manager gave me a different price than salesman when I picked it up. Salesman kept my drivers license and then said he returned it. They found it on the Xerox machine days after the sale. I love the purchase. Did not like the salesman. The jury is still out on repairs. There are minor problems since delivery a few months ago. The service manager does not want stand behind even though I have a six year warranty. I am hoping that all will be taken care of .....I have asked for the owner to call me....with no response. The repairs are minor and one would think that the company would like stand behind their deliver of a brand new RV. read more

Worst buying experience ever. Picked up the new RV in August 2015. The dealer prep was poor at best and there were so many things that weren't road ready it's not even funny. They promised to fix anything on my list but it was just a promise. My salesman was John McKee and after the sale he acted like he didn't care about the poor service. We purchased a high end RV new from McKee. That RV is now more then 2 months late, with no set delivery date. McKee is unwilling to do anything to help rectify our situation. If we had known how little customer service they would provide we'd have order our coach elsewhere. We got 0 updates through out the process unless we asked, our sales rep was very responsive until we provided our order and payment, then nothing. This was supposed to be a fun purchase for our family now it has just become a headache. read more

Worth the drive to go somewhere else. Customer service from both the owner and service center is non-existent once the purchase has been completed. Once the papers are signed and you drive off the lot don't expect anything else from them. They do not answer the phone or return phone calls/emails. If they do or you are able to get a hold of them they put you on hold for an extended amount of time (20 min. at one point) before the manager will pick up. If you are new to RV'ing or you not do general maintenance knowledge don't expect any help from them. The walk through we received was 30 min at most and the person could not answer or explain the majority of questions we had. Every conversation we have had with the service department we are met with defensive tone and comments along with being told how we are at fault for all the issues we present to them. The price or type of RV you find on their lot can be found elsewhere and I can honestly say that if it can't then the headache and stress you will save from not having to work with this dealership is worth the drive or price from a different dealer. I don't feel like even one star is warranted for the experience that I have had from them. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience with them and do not recommend it to anyone, i got a car at that dealer and I gave a lot of payments to an employee and the employee stole more than $ 3,000 of all the payments I DID, and I proved to the owners about those stolen payments they told me that I had to pay for ALL the missing money!!!! they said they have known their employee for years and they do not know me so i have to pay! read more

Avoid - Avoid - Avoid!!! Bought a vehicle for $30k. Dealer refused to send title in a timely manner. Waited over 30 days to receive title. Could not license or drive vehicle as a result. Dealer lied about services and inspections performed on the vehicle before the sale. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle it had a dead alternator and the wrong size batteries along with a list of other problems that had to be fixed before I could take it. Dealer agreed to ship me parts for other items that were missing, broken, or not working properly on the vehicle at the time of sale. Told 4 different times by 3 different employees that the parts were shipped, even though they had not been Have waited almost 6 weeks and still no parts. Employees are rude and do not take care of the customers. When you ask to speak to the owner, they hang up on you. If you are considering using this dealer for ANYTHING, think twice. Given 1 star because 0 stars is not allowed. read more
