Driving through Georgia earlier this year I received a citation for speeding. I genuinely thought I…read morewas not speeding and attempted to point out multiple reasons why this was the case to the officer who was not hearing it. While I was going slow, and at the speed I believed the road I was on was posted at (according to my GPS that had just directed me off ramp to said road) I apparently passed into a school zone unbeknownst to me and was speeding at just the level (41, 16 over during school time) GA reports back to my home state and therefore my insurance company with all the increased rates that entails. While I was willing to pay for speeding, I wanted to avoid those rate increases and some research showed me that this was possible given that if they would simply adjust that speed down to 39 (14 over) those fees (and reporting, from GA) would go away. This is something the court system, law enforcement, and lawyers at firms like Hendrick and Henry deal with all of the time. I called them and tried to describe my scenario. The person who took my call was very abrupt and obviously not interested in details. She informed me whatever they did would require I pay that day a flat $750 which I was willing to do if needed. In general question and answer phase, she basically told me the court wouldn't even look at or talk to me without representation so defending myself or corresponding with them solo would be pointless. But when I said I had a couple of other minor tickets on my record in my home state from the past 7 years (speeding, but none "super speeding" or the like) she clicked her tongue and said she'd have to check with the lawyers to see if it was worth their time to represent me. They never called me back. I did some more research and found that the service I was requesting was generally $250-400 for most firms and that most likely they hadn't gotten back to me because they are safeguarding their win ratios as closely as possible so event the slightest risk negotiation wouldn't work left me out in the cold. I corresponded directly with the district court my ticket fell in, and they worked with me over the course of weeks to make that reduction and save my insurance hikes, though I did indeed still have to pay a hefty ticket/fine. So: they quoted me a wildly out of pocket amount, sold me on the "fact" that without them I'd be toast, didn't care to hear the details, and didn't return my call. With the help of Google I did every step they would have done had they taken my $750 and got as positive a result as possible given the situation.

Attorney David Rigdon effectuated a very satisfactory settlement for my traffic case in a tough…read morecounty, one that I thought would become quite costly on several fronts. His diligence, legal skills and timeliness, irrespective of the pace of the legal system, is commendable. I felt positive from the onset of his representation and guidance as he kept me appraised of the sequential legal process, expectations and answering many of my questions in a timely manner. If you are in need of legal representation, I am confident that David Rigdon should be your choice.

I ended up handling the issue on my own -- after paying for legal help I never received. Afterward, I found other bad reviews online describing the same pattern. On May 5th, I went out to check the mail. In the box was a letter from the Cobb County Sheriff…read moreDepartment post marked April 30th. Since my adult child was on probation for their first dui, which had been reduced to reckless driving, I knew immediately that anything coming from the sheriff's office couldn't be good, and true to form it wasn't! It was a notice dated April 28th, 2015 that my child was in violation of their probation and that a warrant dated March 25th, 2015, over 30 days before the actual letter was mailed, had been issued. Not once during this time did their probation officer ever call to have them come in and retest, or even give them a notice that a warrant had been issued. Immediately my child called Mr. Holloway, who had successfully defended them on their first ever dui case, (having gotten it successfully reduced to reckless driving) and they told Mr. Holloway about their current problem. Mr. Holloway immediately called their probation officer and she informed him that his client's urine had trace amounts of alcohol in it and that they were in violation of their probation. Mr. Holloway then called my child and proceeded to tell them what the violation was; since they had no clue, due to the fact that the letter didn't specify, nor did the probation officer ever contact them prior to issuing the warrant to even tell them. Mr. Holloway then advised them to go and turn themself in immediately, which is what they did on May 5th, 2015. During the time my child was in the county jail Mr. Holloway did what he does best, and he went to work on the case. Within a few hours of my child turning themself in, I received a call from Mr. Holloway's very competent assistant, Lea. She graciously informed me that Mr. Holloway had managed to get my child's case on the judge's calendar for May 7th! This is simply unheard of!!! Now on the day of court, May 7th, the judge was sentencing people back to back. Apparently this was the day for hearing probation violators! I couldn't stomach it so I left the courtroom to get some air, because I was certain my child was about to have to serve time for their violation. Before I could reenter the courtroom Mr. Holloway was out in the hallway walking toward me. I couldn't determine at all by the look on his face what the outcome was, so I simply sat down and prayed. Mr. Holloway then told me that my child was free and I could pick them up in a few hours!!! He also told me that there were no changes in their liberal probation and that everything would remain the same. Once again, Mr. Holloway came through for us. While Mr. Holloway is certainly not the cheapest, trust me he is certainly the best, and he is worth every dime, because the cost to fight for freedom, well let's just say it ain't free!

The Holloway Law group was excellent when addressing my case. Upon researching Mr. Holloway, I saw…read morethat he was an experienced professional with more than 20 years, and that showed through his tact and wit when handling my case. His consistent communication and his paralegal team efficiently notified me of what was going on every step of the way. Heather Hansard (the paralegal I worked closely with) was professional, kind, expedient, and more than willing to explain each part of the process and connect me with Mr. Holloway whenever necessary being that I had not experienced litigation before. In looking for representation, I felt seldom treated like a human and more so like a "problem child" or CRIMINAL who was asking for too much. Mind you I had never been in any legal trouble before! My case seemed like a far cry for help, and my wants were high, but my expectations were low, considering the odds stacked against my wants, but after over a year and a commitment to all of Mr. Holloway's suggestions, we managed to get the exact result I was looking for. I managed to turn a felony for possession of a level two uncontrolled substance, a DUI and four misdemeanor charges for disobeying a traffic control device, having no insurance, having no registration, and driving on the wrong side of the roa... into a SINGLE reckless driving ticket and keep my license. YES! HE'S GREAT AT WHAT HE DOES!! He himself will be just as honest as I am when stating that you can only be prepared for the best option available, and that may not be what you want, but he will diligently listen to you about your concerns and use his expertise to get you as close in the ballpark as he can, and in my case, that ballpark just happened to be my exact target objective. Again, he will be honest in telling you he can't guarantee you any specific result, but he surely will fight to get you the very best, communicate well, work diligently, and provide the best service he knows how. He prepared me to be realistic, but fought for me like he HIMSELF was hopeful. I explained to him that losing my license would be sacrificing my career and he met me where I was at with that fight and I will be forever grateful. But please do keep in mind. Every variable in every situation is subject to being different and also note that I stated I hadn't been in any legal trouble before which helped and worked to my advantage as well as the time I spent superseding what was asked of me and I also have no history of substance abuse. So, there will be a lot to consider from your personal perspective, but my testimony stands very still and strong that you cannot go wrong with Mr. Holloway and his staff.
