An unfortunate fellow broke down in a Burger King drive-thru. While I think the employees of Burger…read moreKing should've redirected traffic to come inside, I assumed the broken vehicle had been there for a while because they were directing traffic around it. At any rate, once I pulled around I realized I was now sandwiched in between the tow truck and another customer who pulled up behind me. Because I had to get back to work, I cancelled my order and asked the tow truck driver to pull his truck up a couple of feet to allow me to pass. He refused. I explained that I cancelled my order and obviously there was a line forming behind me and I really needed to get back to work. The tow truck driver told me that I would have to wait for him to load the broken car up before he would allow me to pass. Fortunately the car behind me got frustrated too and left after about 10 minutes of going back and forth with the driver. I was finally able to leave and super annoyed by a towing experience that I had NOTHING to do with. I was a few minutes late for work, which is not a big deal but completely unnecessary. The driver was a total tool and told me his time was more valuable than mine, which was news to me. Obviously, I called the company to file a complaint and had the pleasure of speaking with Katelin, the dispatcher. I think I must've interrupted her because she was completely annoyed and bored by what I had to say. She literally yawn into the phone...y'all she yawned. Then she proceeded to explain to me why my time was not as important as the tow truck driver's time and promptly hung up on me when she was done.
