On one of those trips, my 2013 Jeep JK's radiator basically blew up a couple of miles outside of Pagosa. I pulled into a parking lot and called AAA. While waiting for the tow truck, I needed to figure out where to take it and get it fixed quickly. I didn't want to have to stay overnight. I called my mechanic in Denver, and she recommended Best Rate Auto. I was surprised she knew anyone that far from Denver, but she had lived in this part of Colorado. When the tow truck driver arrived, he recommended the same shop, so that's where we went. I met the owner, Max, at his very busy shop at about 10am. He said he'd have a look and let me know what needed to be done. About thirty minutes later, he told me the radiator needed to be replaced and handed me a written estimate, which, based on my quick research, seemed very reasonable. He said they'd get started right away. At about noon I looked into some local hotels in case it was going to take overnight, and then I walked to a nearby restaurant for lunch. When I got back at about 1:15, Max came out to tell me it was ready. I honestly couldn't believe they were able to get the parts and complete the work that fast. I drove back to Denver over Wolf Creek Pass, and the temperature stayed in the normal range the entire trip. I can't thank Max and his crew enough. They didn't just save my day; they made my month.

I was incredibly stressed and on the verge of tears when I finally got through to the shop and spoke with Bree. She was so kind, calm, and reassuring, and immediately arranged for a flatbed. Brooke, a retired police officer who is in the process of purchasing the shop, came to pick us up and brought us back to Pagosa. Before we even arrived, he had already identified the likely problem and assured us that if all of the mechanics were busy, he would repair it himself--which is exactly what he did. He was professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and immediately put our minds at ease. From start to finish, everyone went above and beyond to help us during a very stressful situation. We are from Dallas, and I can honestly say we've never experienced customer service this exceptional back home. We are beyond grateful for everything Brooke, Bree, and Tracy did for us. Thank you for turning what could have been a vacation-ending experience into one we'll always remember for the kindness we were shown.

I wanted to thank the people at Holladay Auto Repair and share my expierence…read more I was on vacation with the Family traveling from Texas in our 2014 Ford explorer sport. I keep this car fully maintained and cared for. Prior to our trip I did the 120000 mile service changing fluids spark plugs and coils with motorcraft oem. Eyerything seemed good for the trip. After making the climb into Pagosa i noticed some random misfire. After parking for an hour when I went to start the car. It was missing so bad it would barely drive. I knew I needed a mechanic! I did some searching and went with a top rated shop I found online. When I arrived at my appointment he looked under the hood and said he did not have time to deal with ignition/ electrical issues. I was devastated and went on my way. Trying to think what to do. I went to a local auto parts store to get a replacement spark plug. They recommended holiday auto repair. Holladay was able to get me in the next morning. Shane, the owner, and one of the mechanics Will, were very receptive and told me they would diagnose to the best of their ability. I found them to be very competent caring and professional. Within an hour they had the coils and plugs out and it was determined that these were not OEM parts, but Chinese copies labeled as Ford Motorcraft. ( Amazon problem) They replaced all the plugs and coils, and made sure that the car was running correctly. All of this was done at a fair and reasonable cost with upmost care to my vehicle, my safety and my family. I personally highly recommend this shop to anyone and know that these people at Holladay auto repair have the best intentions. Shane the owner, has integrity and care for all of his customers. I know after being in the shop for three hours that his concern is quality work at a fair price but always keeping safety for the customer in mind. However I would recommend staying away from this business as the owners, although seem very nice, they take NO ownership of mistakes. They allow employees to park in the same small area as all of their business trucks and Customers vehicles. If damage happens "it wasn't us". Even though the business parked my RV and was told you're all set to stay. I open my slides and the 1 employee that insists on parking next to my rv is damaged. Owners said "I didn't push the button to open the slides. You did". So now I get that bill too. There was about $2,000.00 more work to be done on my RV. I had that stopped. The owners don't see they just lost $2,000.00 today because they allow employees to park wherever they want, but I hope future sales from work too will look somewhere else.
