To demonstrate what I'm trying to say, my daughter complains to me that this one particular staff member who works during recess and lunch yells a lot at children and can say unnecessary things. Along with taking away specific privileges, which for an elementary school doesn't make sense if you barley did anything wrong. Mrs KK I think that's the name. You can see that the staff truly cares about your child. My LO absolutely loves this school and the staff. Her teachers are a great encouragement they integrate compassion into their teaching standards, emphasizes the importance of values, and builds leaders through each of their classes and lessons. The academic program is great. The principal Ms. Ramirez is exceptional, not only is she a strong leader , her communication skills are bar none, she is open minded and thinks outside the box to make a successful educational experience for the students. You can truly see that the teachers are passionate about seeing their students succeed. They are so great about sharing moments of pride they see within your child, their good behaviors and achievements; and they know the importance of getting the parents involved should an issue arise, and do it in a very respectful, approachable manner. My problem is that the staff would sometimes tell you that you can't do so and so because it's not "kid-friendly", yet most kids do it anyway and they don't get called out for it. Not to mention that sometimes they tell you to stop doing something, even though there's nothing wrong with it. For example, if I swing around a pole, a yard duty would come up to me and tell me to stop, and I would never understand why. Other than that, my experience was okay.
