When we moved in, there was a tree that had been struck by lightning that was dangerously dangling over the sidewalk. That was one of the first things we had to address, as well as trimming the trees and providing them with nutrients. We've used Davey Tree Experts to take care of the lightning-struck tree (it's still living), as well as trimming trees, removing dead trees, and more. They leave us a detailed plant health care summary, letting us know what concerns have been addressed, the kinds of trees we have (I can't tell a hawthorn from an elm), as well as what trees will thrive in our locale. The areas are cleaned when they are finished. We never know how long we have on this earth, but I hope that these trees will long outlive me.

We experienced some pretty destructive wind damage from the storm on April 2nd. We had a stand of 3…read morevery large trees near our rear yard fence. One went down taking out a portion of our fence, crashed into our garage smashing part of the gutter that it hit. A huge problem was actually the fence because the dogs could not go out alone. My husband could not lift the tree to put the boards back up for the fence. He called JBS Tree Service Friday a.m and was able to get removal arranged for Monday a.m. They arrived on time, actually earlier than we expected. They set everything up, used plywood on the grass so as not the leave ruts in the lawn. They were very respectful of our property. This was a huge piece of equipment. We ended up having all of the trees removed because it seemed like the whole root ball would be compromised. They also ground the stumps. The crew was probably 5 workman and it was absolutely orchestrated. they completed cleaned up our yard and the neighbors yard behind us. they even cleaned the driveway that was not really their mess. Joaquin is the nicest guy and truly wonderful to do business with. He is licensed and an arborist also. They made a bad situation into a good experience. I highly recommend them.

Initially he quoted $2500 for the videos we sent. When he showed up, he said $4500 and gave me a very hard time haggling him down to $3500 with including trimming two other small trees and shaving down the stump of the big tree. Still felt like I was being got. He started that day and did a ton on day one. Day 2 I was out of town so my mom stopped over at my house. She walked up to a bobcat on my front lawn with a very young child sitting inside laughing. She then started walking to the back to tell Chris that's not okay when she ran into another toddler with no shoes running around the two chain saws on the ground in the yard. In the back, I guess there were family members hanging out with them eating, a wife and grandma. My mom sat down and all the family members left. When using my neighbors property to remove tree pieces, he did not ask permission when digging up their flowers and hostas to make way for themselves. After cutting down the tree, he left the stump unshaved and told us that he did not include that in the price. Chris and I specifically talked about the stump being included, but he denies. He also left 7 enormous, immovable chunks of the tree on my front lawn for 5 days, doing a lot of damage to my grass. Someone finally came to pick them up today After repeatedly calling the past few days with no answers and no responses from anyone. We had to beg him to come get the trunks. This service was unprofessional and regrettable. Find someone more reliable and trustworthy.
