The new system will help pay for itself which is awesome. I found the group of installers great to work with & knowledge. The install in our attic looks well done. Also they went out of their way by taping my skylight tube in my attic (which was separating), helped me carry a temporary in window unit downstairs, and later came back to help me with another job!

(I met these men at Ted Drewes after their work hours while my friend and I were getting concretes.) I called the company on Thursday. They sent a repairman on Friday morning. Jim, the repairman, checked out the a/c unit completely and said that the compressor was no longer working. He checked to see if it was still under warranty. It wasn't. He gave me quotes for repair and for replacement. I chose to replace. Monday 9/14, the men arrived to replace the unit. They called about 30 minutes ahead of time to let me know they were on their way. That was great! When they arrived, they told me what was going to happen. Dante did the sheet metal work while Jim did the a/c tower. They were pleasant, friendly, respectful, and efficient. They treated my home like it was their home by cleaning up any messes they made while doing the install. I was particularly impressed with their tidiness and their information. Well Done, Degenhardt Heating and Cooling! I will call you for future service.

Bottom line, I have an older unit that needed a repair/replace and they set me on the right path. Degenhardt gave me the facts that I needed, and I will call them again. I recently repaired a furnace, and it needed a subsequent repair. Degenhardt recommended the repair, and recommended I use the previous service provider to maximize warranty. He also noted considerations when I decide to replace, which all made sense. I can turn a wrench, and I have serviced my HVAC in the past, but Degenhardt is next level. Dan clearly is well-informed on the practice and science of HVAC as evidenced by his assessment, recommendation, and the fact that I am in a nice cool house again. TL;DR: Hot AF STL in Aug. Paid another contractor to fix the AC fan, broke again. Degenhardt recommended a fix, I trust them, way less sweaty. Call them again no hesitation.

Ron McQuerry, the owner of One Hour HVAC answered my call and was at my house in less than 1 hour. It was after 8:30pm and we just received a significant amount of snow and the roads were a mess. Ron diagnosed the heating system, detected the faulty part and explained the options to me. He repaired the system and we once again had heat. I not only appreciated the fact the Ron came to my house late at night, in poor road conditions, but he also took the time to explain everything to me. He had earned my business from now on. Two years ago, a day before we were supposed to head out on vacation, we found our water heater leaking. I've used No Problem Heating and Cooling for well over a decade and seriously, I swear by them. I had a problem a decade ago and they took care of it quickly so I got the club membership that gets them to come out twice a year to clean the system and see if it looks like we are headed for trouble. And if I have a problem I get ahead of folks who it's unclear whether they do maintenance. Until this year, they only recommended small things be replaced so yeah in January we did the whole system replacement. They gave me options and let me make a truly informed decision with real numbers, etc. I have rarely had to call between check ups, but yesterday something was off and the cooling just wasn't doing it's part so I called & left a message on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. Within an hour or so, I had a text from Mindy (she keeps things moving I tell you!) saying they see there is a problem and they will be in touch first thing in the morning. Here I am less than 24 hours later with a fuse replaced and no worries. Mindy is great about working with me to schedule something that fits my calendar. I get reminders on appointment times and a text that tells me the tech is on the way -- heck you even get a photo, name, etc so you can talk to them by name and know whether this is the same tech as last time, etc. Pics are from past visits cause Mike was here, had it taken care of and gone so quick I never even thought about it.
