I like burgers but it's not a selling point to my foodie adventures. One interesting fact it is Filipino owned and operated. It's not the type of food Filipinos tend serve. That piqued my curiosity to see what motivated the proprietor to this specific food type. It's a nice menu but I did not see anything that could give me that wow statement. I ordered the Old School burger; a hand crafted beef patty, lettuce, tomato, gherkins, boss mayo and ketchup. With a Cascade ginger beer I really liked. There wasn't much people there but service was a bit slow. We were beginning to wonder if they forgot or had to kill the cow first. The burger was good but I don't know if it was good enough to be $13.00 Aussie. The beef was seasoned nicely. Some savory juices were gushing out as I bit into it making my mouth happy . The place was immaculately clean with a contemporary setting. Nice place to hang and catch up with friends. I enjoyed being there with my people.

The walls are plaster, with a beautifully textured brick wall on one side, and a selection of interesting, curated items adorn the space throughout. Of particular note is a major feature piece, a comfortable looking reupholstered vintage lounge. With pencils and colouring books for the kids, the café is spacious both inside and out, and there are plenty of aspects to find your favourite seat. Service was great, with staff proactive, friendly and always available when required. The coffee is a solid performer that one might expect to be consistent, without owning the show. Given the time of day, we both elected for burgers. The Ultimate (beef) burger was juicy and delicious, with a tasty combo of ingredients and sauces. The Kafta (lamb) burger also reported well, and no beer battered chips were left over. Whilst a bit far off the beaten track to be a destination, if you're passing through Pitt Town, I definitely recommend stopping in for a coffee and a bite.

The food was beautiful, it was very well made. Flavourful and gorgeous looking. Calamari was soft, lamb curry was cooked to perfection, burgers felt gourmet, and definitely loved the melted cheeses. Drinks were great too. Atmosphere was great with some nice music, especially on a warmish winter day it's practically perfect. Only problem, as I said, was the speed. We arrived at 11 and was given breakfast menu, ordered at 11:20 and the owner said they can't take breakfast order anymore, gave us lunch menu at 11:30, we tried order straight away and was told we gotta wait a little bit, meanwhile we haven't even got drinks down. Finally ordered lunch at 11:40, but food didn't arrive till like 12:25pm. My kids have started going crazy at that point, and when I asked about food at 12:15 we were told the food hasn't even started yet. By all measure, I felt very ready and justified to give a 1 star. But - the food was genuinely good. The owner did apologise. We did get a few complementary drinks. It was a busy day before Mother's Day. So here we are, just 1 star short of a perfect score. Will come again. We enjoyed it. I look forward to the next visit and hopefully the food will come quickly so I can give that 1 extra star back!

We booked a few days earlier and I'm glad we did, guess I'm not the only person who reads the SMH. This place was packed! There's a sign above the counter which reads, "we don't serve fast food, we serve good food". So don't except your meal in a hurry. But trust me, it's worth it. Order the mixed dips plate to get you started - the beetroot dip is incredible. While there isn't a great selection of mains, there's still something for everyone. I had the lamb shanks and was blown away. There's no need to drive to Surry Hills for a dining experience, Meze Me is the place to be. (Wow that rhymes).

The menu is far too big and clearly geared to hearty country folk who like a plateful of fried stuff. I liked the sound of a toasted sandwich and ordered a southern something that was slow cooked brisket and bell peppers. At $16 I was expecting a good meal, but sadly I got the micro sandwich that appears in the picture. My fellow diners wrap looked a far better proposition and luckily she shared with me or I would have been hungry after my expensive toastie. The flavours were good. It seriously they are having a laugh at the size. Especially as it sits alone on the plate with no fries or accompaniments at all. Pass on by friends.
