McDank's on Rombach Avenue has always been my favorite McDonald's in the area and they are always coordinated and get my food out to me even if they're having a bad day. I het hot out on a sunny day at the skate park and i instantly think to myself: "man, i could go for some McDank's right now." and i get my fresh fast food then i blast back off to the skatepark. The Wilmington, Ohio location on Rombach is ok. There is one girl who works there who won't let you finish a sentence before asking a million questions. It is frustrating. The food isn't always hot and fresh, but it is okay. The location on 68 really stepped it up a notch when they remodeled. They are quick, the food is hot and the orders are always right. The Waynesville location is the worst location I have ever been to. First of all- I ordered 3 sausage burittos with mild sauce, BEC Bagel, 2 hash browns and KETCHUP. I was pulled forward which was COMPLETELY fine. I understand. I thought I would get fresh hash browns ect. Before pulling forward I asked the lady to make sure there was ketchup in the bag please. (I also ordered it at the speaker and it is on my receipt.) She was kind and said she would. About 8 minutes roll by and I'm still sitting outside parked in the number two waiting spot. I finally get my food and ask the guy if there is ketchup in the bag and he said "if you asked for it then it's in there". And he walked away, I open the bag and guess what, no ketchup, not one single napkin, Uhm hello?! That's a no brainier, every outside order should have napkins per hot food item. Yes? My burritos were so hard as if they were sitting there for a couple of hours AND imagine my surprise when I'm missing a burrito?! So, I decide to take a look at the bagel, which was my food, and I took a bite and its cold, the egg was nasty and spongy. Lastly, the hash browns.... Soggy... Cold... Greasy. Nasty. I am in disbelief. Absolutely not okay. I was so mad I couldn't even go inside to deal with it because I also had some where to be. I have the bag of nasty food that I am saving to take back at a later time when I actually have the time. Every single time I go through this McDonald's something comes up wrong. Though tempted to give one star, I gave two because I have, on occasion, gotten good food and service. However, this McDonald's has one consistent characteristic I have not experienced at any other McDonald's: SLOW service. For example, whereas one might get a bit perturbed about having to wait 27 minutes for a full meal in a nice restaurant, waiting that long for a simple cheeseburger and small fries order at a "fast food" franchise is utterly absurd. I'm not making this up; 27 minutes for a cheeseburger and fries. Did they have to send Johnny the burger-flipper out to milk the cow, to make the cheese, and bring back the beef? Another example: a friend called me the other day asking if I would fix her car because the check-engine light had come on. She said it happened after sitting in her car with the engine running in the drive-through lane at this McDonald's for 20 MINUTES. Busy or not, there's something really wrong with that. People go to McDonald's (generally) for good food, good value and FAST, friendly service. People go to this particular McDonald's, I assume, because the alternative is to drive out to the McDonald's at I-71; about a 10 minute trip if you know the shortest route. I could have driven to the McDonald's in Hillsboro and gotten my order in way less than 27 minutes. I can't fathom any other reason to wait, inside or outside, that long for "fast" food. I'm wondering who put Harrison G. up to giving 5 stars and a glowing review: "...fast and convient." What the heck is "convient", anyway, Harrison G.? The average wait at traffic lights in the U.S. over a person's lifetime is said to be about 6 months (no wonder I don't like traffic lights). If every American ate at this McDonald's they would end up wasting about 6 years waiting for their cheeseburger and fries!!!!!!! Did I mention the slow service?
