Wowie! The service is quite amazing and is one the better McDonald's I have ever been to. They take food seriously and always manage to get my order right! Yippie! read more

I got the big arch burger and fries....the arch burger was good and amazing and awesome. I would rate it 10 out of 10. It was delicious

Egg McMuffin and sausage McMuffins as a quick drive through breakfast while passing through the town on a road trip. Food was hot and tasty and coffee was as well. The staff was nice as well. read more

I Don't even want to give it a star, people who work here are incompetent. I ordered a Crispy chicken sandwich with big mac sauce and shredded lettuce and they only gave me the mac sauce and forgot the pickles and lettuce... while the rest of the food (regular chicken sandwiches that we just wanted as regular mcchickens) had big mac sauce on them too?? we didn't ask for that read more

Always is a good alternative if I don't have time in my day I between classes. The food is most of time good but sometimes the order is wrong. Sometimes the service seems dead but sometimes it's pleasant around the place. I like this McDonald's. Recommend if you're in a rush. read more

They disabled the rewards app because it, "causes too many problems at night." So if you're trying to go after 10 pm, don't.

I work night shift therefore grabbing a simple meal at McDonalds before work. I get greeted by very rude people every time, making me think is it worth it to go there for a simple mc chicken to get me through the night. To their defense I do have a slight double chin but not bad enough for them to wean me off my second mc chicken for the last 3 times I have gone there. I am always polite and greet them when they open the window to throw the bag at me ("with one mc chicken when I ordered two" ) , and not say a thing like throwing scraps to a pig. I have lost all hope in trying to get my second mc chicken, one would think would be a very feasible task. read more

Once in a blue moon, I head over to McDonald's during the afternoon/evening. I prefer maccas in the morning and BK in the afternoon, mainly because I had a few bad experiences with Mickey D's in a different town. Every other morning, I grab a few sausage mcmuffins and maybe a cup of coffee before work, and never experienced any types of problems. The mcmuffins are probably my favorite food on any fast food restaurants (that I've been to, at least) and the McD's in town always makes them perfect. I've never had a problem with the staff, one of which is super nice and always engages in convo with me, and the wait time is pretty small. Overall, I'm pretty happy and the McDungheaps in town is probably my favorite out of all the Maccies I've been to. P.S., Please add all day breakfast (ADB)! I know quite a few golden arches in other cities that have it, and once I found out that the Donald McDonald in town didn't have ADB, I was pretty sad and disappointed. Edit: Had to bump a star off, mainly because Macca D's food doesn't equally compare to Mexico Viejo, of which I also gave 4 stars read more

This is one of the better McDonald's I have been to. We had to wait for our food, but I think it tastes so much better when the food is not served immediately from a heat lamp. Felt almost like going to a Whataburger in Texas. This place also serves McCafe drinks. Ordering can be done from a kiosk and a lady was walking around helping the kiosk users. read more

A big shout out to the management at this McDonald's! They work so hard! I went through tonight and had to wait a really long time to get through the drive thru and when I got to the window, an exhausted manager kindly gave me my food. There were only 3 people working due to employees that just didn't bother to show up to work. They were doing the work of double the people that were actually there, but they were getting the job done! So thank you for your hard work!! You deserve a pat on the back and a raise! read more

McDonald's - Drive thru - Fast Food Near Me - Vermillion, South Dakota

As far as McDonalds go, and I have been to a lot of them, this is by far, one of the best. They can be a bit slow at times, but the food is always good and hot. Even the fries. I know some people complain about this store, but come on, it's a college town. Students need a job and a quick bite. It is what it is. But it is very pleasant for the most part. And very affordable. read more

I ordered two sandwiches but only got one. I got back to my place and realized, so I called in, I thought I was being cordial, but apparently not because I was hung up on. When I called back, I tried to explain the situation again and she said she was just really busy and didn't have time to talk on the phone. Honestly I'm really disappointed, I really just wanted my other sandwich :( read more

There's one person who works there who's always high on something and it's so clear. I'm not sure her name, but she's gotten my order wrong every single time because she's so out of it. Otherwise the food is good it tastes like every other McDonald's. The workers other than that particular one are awesome and pretty friendly. I hate the robot at the ordering screen though. Wish it was still people because she never understands what I'm trying to say and then I have to reorder at the window. read more

I just got a bacon & cheese quarter pounder & a coke from here and I've never been so pleased. Every worker was super nice and the burger was made perfectly. This is the best burger I've ever seen from any McDonald's. The service was quick & efficient. I'm really satisfied with their customer service. I would recommend! read more

Once and awhile I try to give this place a try again and continually am disappointed. Today I ordered two bacon doubles, no pickle, no onion as I have ordered them for my entire life and a large Coke. The order never appeared on the drive up screen but I was instructed to pull forward. After paying it took 4 minutes to receive my order, which was handed to me with no napkins and just an open bag zero personalism. As I drove away I checked the bag and both my burgers had pickles and onions. I turned around and went inside to get a refund. As I confronted the woman who handed me my bag (later identified as "Debra" a shift manager) and asked her if it seemed professional to just hand a bag out the window with me napkins and not folded or anything? She told me she wasn't the one who handed me my bag. I informed another shift manager who was sitting in the seating area who's name I don't recall to check the cameras that Debra was blatantly lying. I will NOT being giving this McDonald's another try and will be sending a letter to the owner as well as the corporate offices read more

McDonald's - Large fries, not exactly - Fast Food Near Me - Vermillion, South Dakota

See all

Terrible service and rude workers. We were there for a band competition and the sign said you could order take out in the store, only for one of the workers to come out and give us attitude telling us we had to leave. read more

Their burgers tasted like dodo and where as flat as a pancakes service was slow had to wait 10 minutes for my frappe

The lady at the drive thru window was really rude and condescending. Once I pulled up to the window, i waited 20 minutes and still was not assisted. I had to pull up to the next window and was then given attitude for not using the proper window even though the designated person was not at their station. Not impressed to say the least. The food was good though. read more

Can't go wrong with McDonald's! I'm stuck here in Vermillion for a month and without a car....there's not many options for me to go eat due to the fact that I'm lazy, hungry and very familiar with this corporate establishment. There's no Starbucks here so I have settled with the mediocre coffee from McKidee's! I'm so glad they have a value menu and I can't wait to go back to Houston! The service is nice and quick! read more

Waited in line so long and they were super rude questioned our order like we ordered to much and then yelled at us for wanted our pop that we ordered and didn't get don't recommend read more

Every time I go there they get my food order wrong. Not only my order, but three people before us as well. Wait time in the drive up is at least 20 minutes. They are always out of product. Sometimes they close overnight, sometimes they are open. Very inconsistent. I sent a message via McDonals website, and never heard back. It's like the management doesn't care. Your customers are why you have jobs. There is a Burger King down the street, much better service there. read more

pulled into the parking lot, both drive they lanes PACKED. i went inside hoping it'd be faster, knowing my order. i go inside there's no one to take my order. i order on the new fancy machine and start to wait. i had 3 iced coffees, 10 piece nugget, and cookies. i knew the coffees might take a minute but this was outrageous. finally my order comes and my nuggets are absolute trash, i have them to my dog. coffees were okay but i would have rather just not have gone. the drive thru people and the grill cooks were talking so loud i could be in their conversation. he would FINISH his convo and then take the drive thru order. now i've worked in fast food, and i know how much it sucks, BUT ITS SUCKS BECAUSE IF SHITTY WORKERS LIKE GHIS MCDICKS HAS. thank you read more

Probably the slowest service ever at a fast food restaurant. Told my mom I would be home in 20 and it took about 20 minutes for them to make the food. I got my burger and it looked like someone had taken a bite out of the patty and the fries were filled maybe half way. The staff were extremely rude when asked about a messed up order as well. read more

So me and my sisters boyfriend went to McDonald's because we're hungry and obviously broke and they forgot my ranch that i had ALREADY paid for so we went back through the drive thru and we said POLITELY "hey you forgot my ranch could i get a couple?" and they told us to pull up to the window and they made us pay 62¢ for the ranch i already paid for and then only gave us one packet. i'm only giving this 2 stars because the fries were smack read more

The food was awful. Messed up our order. The fries tasted like they were 6 hours old. We pulled up to the drive thru and the employees were outside. One sleeping in their car. We asked for breakfast at their "all day breakfast" and they were to lazy to fire up the grill. The usual "ice cream machine was down" excuse was used. No cookies either. Worst experience ever. read more

The employees of this McDonald's all seem so sweet... but lemme tell you: This has consistently been the slowest operating McDonald's I've been to. I've been the only one in the drive-through more than once, where I've had to wait around 15 minutes to get my order. When I get my food, I can usually expect it to be very dried out. Sandwiches are usually assembled in a very lazy manner. Fries are almost guaranteed to be upside-down in the bag. read more

I'll give them 2 stars because the food is about what I would expect. But dear god the service is awful. Slow, rude employees, and they have gotten my order wrong the last 5 times I've been there. One time I was one of 2 cars in the drive through and they still got it wrong. Like how is that even possible? read more

The food is about the same as any other McDonald's, but the service is the worst I have ever seen. Even after using their stupid kiosks to order, you still have to wait five minutes to pay, and then longer to get your food. Did I mention that there's NO ONE in line. The employees just simply ignore you standing there. After using the kiosk and waiting five minutes just to pay - with no one in front of me, I simply walked out. There is no McDonald's food that's worth that. read more

Not a good place to eat, and NEVER ask for the corporate address. I did bc I lost it and needed to check on a letter I sent them. The manager, Jeanie, sent an officer to my home and claimed I was demanding the address so she banned me from the restaurant. But I have a video, which is on youtube now that proves I was not demanding. Not a great place to work either. Many quit b/c of management. I used to sit there 5-6 days a week for 4-8 hrs a day for almost a year doing homework and seen what goes on. Management is only good when corporate is there. Have heard management swear before and holler. Don't give suggestions or point out a dirty table, etc. Management will get pissed at u. Want a good place to eat or work, go up the road to Burger King! They know how to treat customers and employees well! Would give negative 5 stars if I could. Doesn't even diserve 1 star. read more

Worst service ever. Super unfriendly. Extremely slow and lazy. Embarrassing. I would fire the entire staff and start over.

Visited with family last month and had the opportunity to experience the best McDonald's I've ever been to...everyone is so professional, pleasant, sincere and welcoming and they also seem to be really enjoying their jobs. The man who stood outside in the freezing weather on December 18th, 2014, carefully adjusting the words on the yellow sign with that long pole symbolized, for me and my family, what an impact one person can make on others. These employees, I hope, will remember me and my visit there that morning...we were so honored to have met them all and if any of them ever find themselves in New York, I would love to show them our McDonald's...thanks again to all of the team in Vermillion! P.S. The other customers also were so happy and relaxed and seemed to be enjoying their stay at McDonald's, too. P.P.S. Spotless and delicious - especially the coffee! read more

When you order two iced caramel mochas, they should look the same and taste the same. One should not be all caramel and the other a mixture of a lot of chocolate and a little caramel. And when the customer says that it's wrong, you should take it and make a new one that is CORRECT. Maybe then your rating would be higher and I wouldn't be giving you a single star. If it was possible, I'd give it zero stars. read more

Had to wait ovr a hr for 1 pie! This is ridiculous! Dontcha think! I still go there occasionally cuz I love their mcrib sandwiches n the fish fillet sandwich during lent also they always have a good deal wit that like buy one n get one free which is awesome read more

I would never leave a yelp review but this McDonald's has continued to disappoint me. The past three times I've been there my burger has tasted like actual chemicals. It's also incredibly sloppily made with ketchup everyone and half of the bun basically off the burger. The meat tastes old and is for sure not fresh. The fries always come half full and are either old or burnt. They are continuously out of product and the wait times are forever. My biggest problem though is the lack of customer service. 9/10 times whenever I order from there I'm never greeted at either window. The person at money just takes my card and says nothing. Then at handout I'm either waiting for 5 minutes or my bag is just shoved in my hand without a word said. I've asked for ketchup in the bag multiple times and it's never put in there. I previously worked at a McDonald's location in another city which I was told it the top 3rd best McDonald's location in the world, and I believe it. I worked there for over a year and since then I've been great about customer service, and seeing this location is so disappointing. read more

Worst McDonald's I've ever been to in my 50 years on this earth. Employees acting unprofessional and fooling around when dining area is dirty. Bathrooms with standing water all over floor. Food sub-standard. read more

Too bad 0 stars isn't an option. Routinely slow service, consistently fill orders incorrectly, constantly understaffed, and the staff that is there is just flat out rude. Its like its an inconvenience that they have to serve you food you are paying them to make (or at least warm up). I've never experienced such poor customer service from an establishment, ever. At the end of the day, these folks don't even deserve (or earn, for that matter) the higher minimum wage rates they demand. There are plenty of other fast food places in town to eat...save yourself the inconvenience and stay away. read more
