Basic grill items (my cousin really loved her fish burger) and a huge variety of hearty breakfast options. I went with my classic choice Eggs Benedict with potatoes chunks (there was an option for shredded). Decent size of meal but nothing spectacular about the breakfast. Looking for simply solid food, this is the place to go in this part of Alberta. Next door is a flea market of sorts (only noticed it as I was driving away but that could be fun to check out first and then go for food afterwards before heading back to camping). I appreciated the ramp along the side of the building as the stairs up were really tough on my knees. Lovely staff and calm atmosphere within the restaurant. A small little cafe just off the intersection of the A-12 (on your way to Stettler) and the 835 (which leads to Buffalo Lake), the grill is a nice rest and good food. On my visit today, I tried the Erskine Burger, which is a 6oz patty overwhelmed with mushrooms, cheese and gravy. And it was excellent. The patty was perfectly cooked, homestyle, not a frozen thing smashed into tastelessness. The patty was juicy, flavorful and cooked right. The mushrooms held into the melted cheese were great and the layer of gravy made it a real Canadian treat! The dining area is small but can fit a crowd of about 20. The staff is very kind and answered our questions and explained everything. Prices were very reasonable and we had lunch on a budget of about 28 for two people which is very good these days.
