Placed delivery for a dear friend's birthday. Had to get up early because of the time difference as she and her brothers live in St. Joseph and I am in California. The order went through GrubHub with no issues. It was ordered and confirmed. The next thing I see the order is cancelled and is undeliverable. So very disappointed as it was to be a surprise - something for them to wake up to. I placed a separate order with Perkins through GrubHub and it went smoothly. Placed the same McDonald's order the following Saturday and same result - undeliverable. Called the restaurant from California and the manager was not aware of the orders nor the cancellations. Had no idea how it happened and suggested contacting GrubHub directly. GrubHub had no record of the orders nor the cancellations. They issued me credit and assured me it couldnt, IT COULDN'T, happen again. Wasn't convinced and applied the credit to an order for a Tostada Bowl. Am at a loss what to do in lieu of the birthday surprise. But I do know what I am NOT going to do. read more

24 hour location but the employees chose to turn off all the lights so they could get stoned in the kitchen. Decided to drive up to the window thinking maybe the screens were just messed up. This is supposed to be a 24 hour McDonalds however they never stay open past 10pm EVERYDAY. The staff is in there but they just act like they are closed because if they were "closed" why are there cars in the lot? They say when the cats away the mouse will play! From the looks of things the cat was frozen last Christmas by Luther Krank and has yet to thaw! It was shocking how bad this place was. I haven't seen anything like this in.... yeah pretty much ever! My order took about 10 minutes. I had 2 coffees, 3 sandwiches and one fry order. I think I got lucky though; for the next hour our group watched customer after customer wait longer and longer. People came in from the drive thru twice because of the wait or mistakes. All the while, the four employees moved about as though they had severe depression and no motivation in life! When we had arrived, close to 8pm, the place was nearly empty but still filthy. All tables were dirty; most had trash littered about. There was a liquid spill without even the courtesy of a hazard sign. Drinks left on the ledges, trash by the drive thru and fries littered the floor behind the counter! While this may be the standard aftermath of a rush period or a bus arriving that was not the case here. Not one of those 4 employees cleaned one thing the entire hour we were there. And business was slow...almost as much as the service was. The conditions we found the place in were exactly the same when we left. The icing on the cake, for me though, was while waiting for our order an avalanche of trays fell from the counter and towards us. This happened because they were stacking them extremely high. There were 3 employees standing behind the counter and while they grabbed them to stop more from falling, they made absolutely NO move to pick them up from our side even though they went everywhere. My two boys picked up the trays for them and they watched. They did not offer to help and just talked amongst themselves about the incident. read more

They took my breakfast order at 10:28AM and I used the app code to pay. They tell me at the first window that its lunch and they cant serve my breakfast that's already paid for. They asked if I want something on lunch menu for the same price since they can't refund my order. I said no so they said come back tomorrow morning to get my big breakfast. read more

McDonald's of the future? Dear God I hope not! I typically wouldn't review a fast food chain, unless there is something particularly great or terrible, they're pretty much the same. Me and the missus had to drive up to St. Joseph, and having heard about this new McDonald's with unlimited fries, we thought it'd be something worth checking out. I'll admit I'm not a fan of fast food in general, but they're a cheap and quick alternative (the "quick" cant' be emphasized enough), and they're mostly consistent when it comes to "quality", portions and taste. This McDonald's bills itself as the McDonald's of the future (setting up some lofty expectations) because it has four kiosks that can be used to place and customize your order. These kiosks barely qualify this as the McDonald's of the present. I mean, I've e been ordering Chipotle and Jimmy John's through they're apps, or online for quite some time. To imply that these kiosks are some futuristic vision seems pretty misguided. In addition to the kiosks thay had a different version the coke machines that let you pick and combine your flavors, with a twist since it looks more like a traditional soft drink fountain. Again, this hardly qualifies as furturistic. In addition to the kiosks, the soda fountain, and table service if you order from the kiosk, there's nothing else too novel. They have the old fasion cashiers, in case you don't want to wait 20 minutes while the people in front of you figure out how to place their order, a separate counter for desserts, and a slightly broader menu, both for food and desserts. After we placed our order and grabbed our drinks we grabbed a table and waited for almost 30 minutes! That defeats the whole purpose of stopping at a FAST FOOD joint. Not to mention the 10-15 waiting to and placing our order. The place was busy, but no busier than the average fast food joint around lunch hour. A lady who I presume to be the managar walked around bringing fries to tables as appetizers, along with an apology for the delays. For some reason she skipped our table on her fries and apologies tour, even though both were given to tables on either side of us. Finally our meal came, about as good as can be expected. I wasn't hungry for more fries, which maybe because of all the hassle didn't taste as good, and were lacking salt which is unusual. But if you wanted more fries, good luck flagging one of their employees down, and waiting God knows how long for an extra order of fries. The facilities look new and modern, and were about as clean as youd expect from a McDonald's. And according to my wife the bathrooms were nice and clean. All in all, if this is what McDonald's has in store for the future, it look pretty bleak. read more

These were the two sweet teas I ordered. The first one was handed to me and it looked normal, The second one, however, looked super watered down. So I looked at the boy at the drive-through and asked why this one was so much lighter. And he responded " it's because it came from two different teas, but I tried both of them and they both taste sweet" so I said " yeah I'm sure they both have sugar in them but one of them looks like they have a lot less tea in it" and then he responded "yeah" and sort of laughed it off. So then I asked him if I could get them both made the same way, and he just looked at me like it was out of the question. read more

Whenever I am feeling down, I know I can go to my local McDs for some good ole American comedy. Is their service good? Mcfricken not. Is the food palatable? Not in the slightest! What they lack for in everything else, they make up for in comedy. There is nothing that cracks a laugh out of me than waiting twenty minutes for a subpar hamburger while listening to the employees absolutely SCREAM at each other. It's like a telenovela in that joint. It is literally a different universe once you step through those golden arch ordained doors. Took my kids through the drive thru this evening. Upon pulling up to the intercom we were greeted with 'you can order whenever!' As soon as I finished my order the intercom was still on when all that came through the intercom was 'OH THIS MOTHER F****r!" The foul language was unwanted and inappropriate. I did mention I had children in the car during this interaction! The children which were upset about hearing this come through the intercom. I am very unsatisfied with the service, behavior, and treatment of customers at this location! When I spoke to the manager about this experience she seemed as if she didn't care. I understand Micky D's now charges more for extra tarter sauce? Mc Donalds is now offering a HALF slice of sorry cheese on a sandwich that retails for $5.00? Really, half of a slice of cheese? Dirty and slow. Dirty. And. Slow. I think there are 2 people actually working, even though I can count at least 4 employees here. It took forever for my food to come, and while waiting I realized that there isn't a clean surface in site. Tables are all disgusting, the floor is gross, the drink area is nasty. And do yourself a favor, don't look behind the counter. Food and trash everywhere. And the food isn't even being sent out correctly. I watched one take out person return their food, and a drive thru customer just had to come inside to get helped. Sad. read more

If there was an option, I would give it no stars. Went there with the grandkids after a movie Saturday about 6:30, 11/22/15. When we arrived, several customers told us we may as well leave because they had been waiting over 20 minutes for their "fast" food. Because our grandkids wanted to play at the playground, we stayed anyway - and the manager said their orders were taking so long because of their pork sandwich orders. It's frynally here. McDonald's with unlimited fries. But who knew service was so slow in heaven? Fast food no longer fast. All-you-can-eat fries is great until it takes 10 minutes for a refill. We only had time to enjoy three wire baskets (each roughly the size of a medium) before we had to bolt to the airport. The manager walked by the second time and personally refilled our fry baskets! Our little pit stop was definitely worth the drive and anticipation to experience the novelty. The decor is supposed to reflect the future of this fast food chain as well. There are touch pad screens by the door to order your food. We've seen these in Hong Kong as well, and they're quite handy. But at this location, the staff had to be so hands-on and instructional, that it was so much quicker to skip the machines and order at the counter. The seating was very spacious and clean (I've seen reviews say otherwise so I'll point out that we were there at 10:30am. It might get gradually messier as the day goes on) with large tables and decorative succulents. The soda machine was freestyle and allowed you to "twist"/mix flavors. There's a separate McCafe section for coffees and desserts. There are also interactive games and a private party room farther to the back of the place. There are some cool touch-ups, but nothing groundbreaking. The food itself was very standard McDonald's. We had to order the make-your-own burger/sandwich in order to get unlimited fries so I went with a pico gallo chicken sandwich while my boyfriend had a maple bacon beef burger. Both delicious as always. The fries were tasty, which I was quite relieved by because some locations manage to screw up the best thing on the menu and it would have been very bittersweet if we had endless subpar fries. I don't know if this is truly the McDonald's of the future. Unlimited fries almost sound too good to be true. Or bad, for my waistline. As for the other upgrades - I've seen many alterations of these at McDonald's locations around the world so I don't find them as refreshing as they're marketed to be. But I'm sure they will perfect the recipe and roll out the best of their changes nationwide. read more

Mcdonalds of the future my butt. Probably the worst experience I've ever had at a McDonald's. Have to repeat your order 5 times and they still don't get it right while they laugh the whole time. Wait in line forever cause of a mess up with the car in front of us. Get to the window to pay and the order still wasn't right. Says she can fix it but it will take even longer so we say forget it we've already waited long enough. Get to the next window and they have the food ready but not the drinks, and what cold fries!! This McDonald's should close. Went there last night all the machines were supposedly not working, they could only take cash. It took 20 minutes for them to take our order in the drive through, when there was only one car ahead of us at the window. I didn't get all of my fries. I tried knocking g at the window to get their attention, there was no one in site. All of a sudden a lady appears that looks like she just rolled out of bed, her whole mouth was rotten and she had one rotten tooth sticking up in the middle of her mouth. She came to the window and said, WHAT, with the worse expression on her face. Who does that, where is your customer service????? I'm not one who would normally go out of my way to visit McDonald's of all places, but since I started going to college, I need my food lol McDonald's happens to be right around the corner. First time I walk in there, I am greeted immediately, my order is taken immediately, and I'm given my food within five minutes. The second time I came, similar results. I was surprised by how fast-paced, clean, and organized this place was. So, good job McDonald's for not letting me down so far lol read more
